(I ordered in store) I open it and it's nothing but dried up rice, greasy retried beans and enchiladas. I literally had to pour the grease off into the trash. Tried to eat the food but it was nasty. I took the wife here as I have been once before and knew she would be please by the taste and portions of the plates. She had the #7 and I had the #22 pictured. For a small place this restaurant serves fast and friendly authentic Mexican food thus the good reviews. Their refried beans have a slight smokey flavor to them. For a tiny hole in the wall restaurant that one would pass over (unless they'd read yelp) this place is FABULOUS! We wanted to take it all in so we got enchiladas, tacos, chalupa, taquitos, and a hamburger. Seriously, we threw the munch. Hamburger was fresh and hot off the grill and had homemade bread, chalupa and tacos were super fresh and the veggies cold (just like I like them). We heard this was a great restaurant. We were pretty disappointed. The lunch was $10.95 each... The taco and chalupa shells were not homemade. They were the ones you buy at Heb that are already cooked and prepackaged. I have never been to any restaurant that did this. We had heard they have great corn and flour tortillas and that's why we went.. Had they used these tortillas instead of the already cooked prepackaged ones maybe the tacos and chalupas would have been better. Worst we ever had. Food here is always spot on. Best re fried bean in a 50 mile radius. Homemade corn and flour tortillas. Seating area is a bit crowded though and if you go on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning expect to stand around waiting for a table. Once seated though the service is great. This is the best authentic mexican food I have had since I left Arizona. Tex mex is not my thing. Sonoran Mexican food is as good as it gets . This place made me miss home a little less. I've ordered there brisket gorditas twice and they're ok . I think they leave the meat to big so it makes them hard to eat and they don't have a lot of flavor but they're ok. The rice and beans are good. We ordered menudo once and it was so smelly we couldn't eat it had to be thrown out. I've heard they have good breakfast but we haven't wanted to go back so I don't know.
