I have been a business customer with this bank for almost 10 years, approximately two years ago everything changed for me when Ethan Jackson and Carlos Padron left Verabank, now I feel like I'm just an account number, and just recently I requested possibly opening a new line of business credit with an employee named Malia, I was turned down, she said I lived too far away from the bank and it was too much of a risk. Well, my existing truck loan is almost paid off, after that, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I know it might be weird to leave a review for a bank but...I waited more than 40 minutes to be…read morehelped because I had to speak with someone to help with an issue. The issue being solved can be done in 10 minutes or less so it's not a tedious task. If the person in front of me had a tedious task that needed to be done I'd understand but the majority of the wait was them visiting with each other talking about families and stuff. Don't get me wrong be friendly, have small talk, but if someone else is also waiting and it's pretty obvious, try to be considerate of others time as well.

No one wants to deal with Taxes. The laws are constantly changing and there's always something to…read morecomplain about regarding how our tax dollars are being spent. Still it's an annual task to get our forms together and file our taxes. My wife and I had the pleasure to have our taxes prepared by Brenna McPherson at the Lindale H & R Block Office. She greeted us upon our arrival, got to know a little bit about us before screening our forms, and was an excellent conversationalist. The great thing about living in a small town is the sense of community. Everyone seems to know everyone and we're always interested to meet new people. Brenna's warm and engaging personality eased our anxiety over getting our taxes done. Once the required data fields were entered, Brenna patiently reviewed the records, provided great recommendations and ensured we were getting all the deductions we were entitled to. Noting some of my income came from my military service retirement, she even ensured I was given a "military discount" in the cost of our tax preparation. We were so impressed with Brenna McPherson's professionalism, we've already set an appointment for next year. If you are looking for a friendly face who is also a highly competent tax professional, please ask for Brenna McPherson when you call the H & R Block Office in Lindale, TX. You can thank me later.
