Walking into Venusto, I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. As someone with hearing challenges, it's important that I can clearly communicate with my stylist, and Diana was amazing. I came in ready for a big change--from medium-long hair to a pixie cut--and she listened carefully, explained how to tailor the style to my face shape, and delivered results even better than the photo I brought. Since that first appointment, I've returned several times and will happily continue as one of her clients. Truly fabulous work! read more

History

Established in 2013.

I started in 2013 at the Community Bank in a suite which I had to share with other businesses. I had my own little space and a beautiful view of the mountains. I now have my own space at Trinity Plaza and I am booked at least 3 weeks in advance. I very blessed and I have a wonderful group of clients!

Meet the Business Owner: Diana R.

Venusto Salon, which means to be beautify, adorn and make lovely, was founded by Diana Rascon in 2013. Diana moved to Los Alamos with her parents, from El Paso when she was only a toddler. She graduated from Los Alamos High School and, having an interest in styling hair, decided to attend Olympian University of Cosmetology in Albuquerque, NM. It's here where she discovered her passion for styling and coloring hair.

I cannot believe the difference. She made sure to tell me every product she used on may hair, but there was no pressure to buy. It is just great to know that I can buy from her when I'm ready. My hair has not looked this healthy in a very long time. The cut was great. Chelsea is as charming as her shop!! I highly recommend her!

I have gone twice now and had an AMAZING experience with Brittany Hatch both times. The first time was for a blowout. I have SUPER long, thick hair. She was able to take care of me with a double wash, condition, blowout and roundbrush within the hour allotted time - this has literally NEVER happened anywhere else for me. They ALWAYS run out of time. The second time was for color. I normally do a coppery red, but hadn't had it done since COVID started - so about three years ago. She did an amazing job using my reference pictures and using innovative techniques (almost a reverse balayage thing?) to leave out some of my lighter pieces that I already liked the color of. She used three different colors and glosses to give me dimension. I was out within three hours with a beautiful blowout. Luis (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly) is incredibly detail-oriented and takes great care to protect the natural nail while making sure I'm happy with the final result.
