All of a sudden all the power is turned off and the babysitter goes outside only saying I don't like this I am shutting it down. He decided to call the cops and have us thrown out. They did not like the type of people that were there, not only did I rent music equipment and food catering. I had purchased a ton of decorations. OK, off my soapbox. This center is part event venue, part museum. They have a variety of exhibits on display, some rotate seasonally. They also hold concerts, community gatherings and, well, celebrations here. There's ample parking and lots of outdoor space which hosts festivals and concerts in the summer. Inside, there's a large multi-purpose room that welcomes guests and offers a nice stage for performances. Keep it on your radar if you're looking to fill your calendar and try something new. The venue is next door to Usana amphitheater and Foreigner was playing with a pretty big crowd. The married couple were fans of the band so they thought that was cool. Two of the bands members were playing golf 15 minutes before they went on stage and I had a chance to talk with them for a minute as they finished. We had worried about traffic but things went smooth for everyone coming. The staff here was so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Anything we asked for or had questions about were answered quickly and professionally. Guests marveled at the view and were impressed with the buffet and setup of the venue. Really we couldn't have asked for more. Special thanks to Jeremy for getting things planned with us and following through on everything (it was their busiest weekend). Charisse was incredible to work with and made the night unforgettable with her suggestions and help. The bartender was great and many commented on her fun and happy attitude. There are just two rooms, one much smaller that seems to serve more as an entryway, and the second is the actual reception/event room. There is plenty of seating, but after that you either get a small dance floor, or somewhere for everyone to walk through to get around the room. You don't get both. Frankly, I'd expect a little more of an event center in day break, but it's certainly not bad by any means.

I told so many people that I wished that Heather, our Executive Planner, planned more things in my life. Monthly calls with her for the two years leading up to the wedding were the highlight of the month. She could not have been more responsive or done a better job of keeping us on track. It was particularly reassuring to know that we were in good hands given that we were planning this wedding from afar. It was so helpful to have her team recommend pre-vetted vendors so all we needed to do was review their websites and have a quick chat (and of course we loved all their recommendations). Michelle was the one with the artistic vision who did all the gorgeous design work. Let me tell you, this wasn't just a few "vision board" photos. This was a 60+ page design document complete with suggestions for invitations to floral to drinks that matched! Then she and the team brought it to life. The wedding itself was an absolutely dream, above and beyond what we'd hoped, but that also wasn't a surprise because we'd known all along that we were in the best hands.
