If I would be allowed to award Venture Tyres 6 stars out of 5, I would do it with alacrity!
This is the first time I am writing a review online. I have always been hesitant to leave negative feedback for services obtained, and I guess I never was chanced to do it because my experience of services out there had, on the whole, not been a gleeful one. It wasn't until I had a chance encounter with Venture Tyres Ltd in Bristol, St Philips Industrial area that my view of auto service changed.
A Iam a secondary schooo teacher, with a very busy life. I stumbled on Venture Tyres online in 2015 when I was desperately looking for a trustworthy auto company to have my M.O.T done on a saturday. My old car flew through the M.O.T with no tales nor fuss. That was the first time Venture Tyres earned my respect.
My latest experience of the services of this honest and trustworthy auto company occurred between December 2016 and today, 4/01/17. My Ford Focus zetec 1.6 (2000 reg) started overheating in December 2016. I got really scared as my job got me to travel around a lot. I arranged for an examination by Venture Tyres, and they were very honest in their diagnosis. I asked for my bill and to my amazement...the response was "It's ok, you don't have to pay. We will order some parts in and progressively tackle the problem from the very basic and cheapest of what we suspect could be causing the overheating...". "Really? Wow, are there such good natured mechanics in this world?" I thought
Anyway, I resolved to scrap that car and get something else, as I had previously had some scaring experience from an overheating car on the motorway.... I ended up with a Nissan Micra 1.8. I drove it for about 3 weeks with no problems. Yesterday as I drove into a new school that had awarded me a new teaching contract, I saw the engine mangement light on! This was at the end of a journey which involved putting my foot down on my 'go-pedal', on a stretch of motorway. My heart skipped! I had a terrible first day in this new school, as I dreaded I couldn't fulfil the awarded teaching contract, if a diagnosis of the car meant I had to cough out a colossal amount of money for repairs. I called one nation-wide auto company (name withheld) to book an examination at 5pm on the same day. This was the earliest I could get there after an hour's meeting at the end of the teaching day. Venture Tyres shuts at 5pm, you see, and this nation- wide company shuts at 6pm. After booking I started seeing many negative reviews online about how several people had been ripped off by this nation-wide organisation. I reached out for my phone immediately and called to cancel the appointment! I next called Venture Tyres to arrange for a scan today. And was I not scared of the outcome? I got there and asked how long the Engine Management Light prognosis would take. I was assured it wouldn't surpass 10 minutes. I was a bundle of nerves whilst I waited in Venture Tyre's cosy customers' lounge. How much would they charge for the diagnosis? What fault will they detect or come up with? And what would the total cost of repair be? Would I end up without a car and lose this teaching contract? These and a myriad of other searching questions inundated my mind.
I now leave it to your imagination to guess how I felt when I was summoned into the office, and with my own eyes, saw one mechanic recording the readings from the gadget that had been used for the diagnosis. I was handed the details on the card and advised to hide it somewhere in my car, as they felt there wasn't much to worry about. "What?" I wondered. "Are these guys serious?" He added: "It could have been a glitch,as the engine management light turned itself off during the diagnosis. I think the car would be fine. We don't see the need to temper with it now, when a specific fault has not being detected. Keep an eye on your car and bring it back in for examination should the engine management light show up again". Phew, I was overjoyed. Then I anxiously asked: "And how much do I owe you now, and the response? "Oh ... nothing...". What?? I couldn't believe my ears... What a bunch of honest people! If you wouldn't concoct some faults to milk money off me, like some mechanics I have known would, would you not also charge for the diagnosis you have carried out? Money you are fairly entitled to possess? This is Venture Tyres for you ... fellow driver and auto service user....
I have benefited a lot from the reviews of other service users online. I have taken sometime off my busy schedule to write this review should someone be desperately looking for a genuine and honest auto company for servicing or M.O.T. Such has been the pleasantness of my experience of the services delivered by Venture Tyres that I could not restrain myself from bearing a testimony to the whole wide world. My names is David Opoku and my number is 07763983344. I would always be prepared to vouch for Venture Tyres 100%!! read more
