I am an experienced cruiser with eight under my belt and have both used agents and booked on my own. I compare prices and typically find agents can be worth their fee for the value offered. Not all agents bring the same value, so I was thrilled to work with Cory and his wife and give them a try. From the very beginning of researching different cruise lines and itineraries Dream Vacations was on top of it. Typical communication was through email, but I also spoke with owner Cory as well. The research on itineraries, cruise lines and pricing is where a savvy agent makes the difference. The entire process was made easy and Cory also researched transportation options to the port. Prior to departing we received four industrial strength luggage tags with printed off info included that made it hassle free. Pro tip is pack light, one suit case max per passenger. Also in the packet was necessary documentation to board, called boarding documents. If 18 & over plan on obtaining a passport months in advance. Children under 16 may not be necessary, but original birth certificates required. I would recommended passports for traveling 8 and over with a 10 year expiration date. Our family had a great week in the Caribbean on Princess and recommend the line as a great middle to upper line option when cruising. Dream Vacations reviewed all lines and cabin options that fit our budget and they nailed it too! First time cruisers must understand it's necessary to build into the budget transportation, staff tipping excursions and souvenirs. All told the extras do add up, so be prepared. Our chocolate covered strawberries complimentary of Cory was a nice touch during the week. I found it necessary to reach out to Dream Vacations during the trip to receive documentation. It was swiftly handled within an hour. If you are considering a cruise then give Dream Vacations a shot at planning your adventure at sea. I recommend them and have confidence your experience will be as stellar as mine.

And they do it far better than the all online, nothing worked as planned wedding/honeymoon I did back then. I had been leery of going on cruises, because after numerous 7-11 month long trips on Navy boats, and a couple years working offshore oil, the last thing on earth I wanted to do was get on another bleepin boat. Abby wanted to go on a cruise. She hates flying. I finally said OK, we'll try this. But then, work, reserves, job change, reserves, laid off, new job cross country moves (TWICE!) sick parents, hurricane damage to parent's house, etc basically kept happening. That said, Cory knew I needed to go on a vacation, since I hadn't had a non working vacation in five years and that my wife wanted to go swim with dolphins, and go on a cruise. We were talking about me going to Florida to go fix things at my parents house (working vacation strikes again) and basically planning things around my wife's work schedule. Cory said he knows of a cruise that would said out of Port Canaveral in Florida, I was already going to be there having driven down to work on my parents house, and would work time wise with Abby's job and meetings she had to be back for. About two hours later I get an email from Cory as I'm watching the football game and the price was far better than anything I could get on my own. So the next day I go over to Cory's office (this can be done online or on the phone, but it's about a block away so I just went over) and then we go through everything, plus as someone who has cruised a lot, he had lots of "pro tips" that made the cruise even better. I may have drunk texted him going "BOOK IT" but he waited until I wasn't a six pack of IPA into the Patriots game to make sure. People may ask "why do you use/pay a travel agent, the internet lets you do it yourself, etc" News flash. You are paying a travel agent even if you use Orbitz, company's website, anywhere. You just don't see/talk to them. They also don't tell you things like "do the dolphins in Freeport, it's cheaper, and there are things other than Dolphins you probably want to do in Nassau" I also didn't guess about what was a good cabin, should I get X Y or Z, whatever. Cory handled all that, and explained it all. And saved me a boat load of money over what I would have spent booking it myself. All the work I did was basically looking over the basics, and giving Cory my payment. That was it. I left his office with boarding passes, bag tags, everything I needed. Once we got on vacation, the cruise line had to change the itinerary due to a bad storm. Cory tracked that, updated my Dolphin shore excursion, and sent me the information. I didn't have to call anyone or do anything. I literally got a text/fb/email all pop on my phone going "Dolphins are now 10:30 on the new day in Freeport, it's all handled" And Abby got to swim with the Dolphins. We're going on a cruise again, the only question is where. We will be using Chicks Beach Travel for all our travel needs. They do more than cruises.

She collected all the tickets for tours and any tickets we needed printed them and mailed them in a packet to us. She followed our trip via email to make sure we had everything, and things were going as planned. She made sure we had travel insurance and a checklist of everything we needed to take care of for international travel. She is very well educated and prepared. When I presented questions and concerns the representative named Jenn was extremely rude and seemed to take my concerns as a personal attack. When I explained that there must have been a miscommunication and requested she educate me on the process she told me that there was no miscommunication and that I was the one at fault. After multiple back and forth communications and the rude nature of her responses, I did not feel confident in trusting my travel goals to Jenn based on her emotional responses. I asked to work with another member of her team, however my request was not honored. Her professionalism was deficient and it seemed she did not care. I am not sure what was wrong with Jenn but this whole experience was baffling and I am still confused. The level of customer service I received was non existent. Here we got another hotel for five days. While we Barcelona, we were never bored, we had bus passes. etc, that allowed us to travel around the city freely. Then fly back to Norfolk via Dulles. The MacArthur Square Station is located on East City Hall Ave. in Norfolk. It's in the heart of the…read morearea where there's many things to do around that area. I generally come to this station monthly for an in-person work meeting that's only 0.1 miles away from this station. I start my ride at the Newtown Rd. Station. My most recent ride was on May 15, 2026. The Eastbound and Westbound Stations on opposite sides of the road. You want to make sure that you are on the correct platform. The area around the station can be quite busy. I love that they have a braille sign for the station too, so those that can't see can tell which station they are at. You can see you're in the heart of the city. There are many things to do nearby as well. I've never felt unsafe in this area. I was able to see places such as Nauticus and Waterside Dr. that weren't too far from the station too, so that's a great way to get there too. The ferry to get over to Portsmouth isn't too far away either. As of May 2026, they have changed how you pay for riding The Tide Light Rail System. Discounted tickets are no longer available at the new ticket vending machines. You will need to get a GoMobile Fare Card, or now, as of May 18, 2026, you can just tap to pay by using a credit or debit card at the Fare Validator (photos included). To use the Fare Validator, you would open the GoMobile App, use a physical GoMobile Card, or Credit/Debit Card. In the app, you need to choose the card you are using and place it towards the top part of the validator. If you have a QR code, you can go down just a bit to that other reader on the fare validator. It costs $2 to get the fare card itself, and then you can load funds to it at the ticket vending machine or through the GoMobile app. The total cost for a day will be no more than $4.50. The first two rides will be $2, followed by the third being $0.50. Any further rides on the light rail that day will incur no additional charges. Overall, this is a great way to get to the heart of the city through the light rail system. You get to save some miles and gas/electricity for your vehicle too. Even better, you don't have to deal with accidents and such that may occur on Interstate Two-Sucksty Four (I-264) in Norfolk. You don't have to deal with the costs of parking in Norfolk since parking is free at their park and ride lots available at select stations (not at this one). All in all, this is a great way to get around.

Free wifi. It's 2017 and there are airports that don't have free wifi. So glad this airport has it. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours. Not fast but efficient. Played some games and made some video calls. 2. The USO. Free drinks and snacks. Volunteers checked up on us and made coffee when needed. 3. Numerous outlets and USB charging spots. 4. Food- the only restaurant was so so but stayed open an extra few hours because they knew our flight was delayed. Not the happiest bunch serving us but the food was ok but not many options available. 5. Cherry blossom trees. They were blooming at the time. Reminded me of Japan. Need improvements: 1. Processing large units. Really slow. Only 2 screeners. Slow at ticketing and checking our luggage and cargo. 2. Food- the one restaurant- a lot of options were sold out or not available. Frustrating when you ask for three things and they don't have em in stock. Would of loved to try their adobo plate but had to settle for choice #4. Not a bad experience but not the best either. Then it was a single building, one room, two gates terminal, but now it has evolved into a multi-level terminal with elevators, huge spacious seating/waiting areas upstairs, a roomy USO with free internet access, reading material, etc, a dependent lounge, and even restrooms with single shower facilities! Downstairs are the check-in and passenger terminal counter, and even lockers to store your gear temporarily so you don't have to drag your life in luggage all over the place; unfortunately the lockers are so small but inexpensive that you can't place anything larger than a chihuahua, the lockers measuring about (very approximate) 15" square. A small sports bag would probably fit inside with no problem and are located in front of the check-in counters. I love this terminal because the numbers they use have remained unchanged throughout the decades I've used and known of this terminal. I am told there is a free shuttle during working hours. I was originally advised free wifi is located on the top floor where there is even a huge charging station, but even downstairs the wifi was very fast and connectable. Terminal is NOT open 24/7 so make plans for lodging should you arrive here and don't get out the same day. NOTE: Be prepared to sit with soldiers/airmen and LOTs of them as I discovered when I first arrived.

It included three types of salads, rolls with butter, chicken, pulled pork, and salmon entrees, potatoes, Mac and Cheese, plantains, squash, and street corn. Plus a large selection of desserts. Iced tea and water came with the meal too. They also have a full bar and reasonable prices for beer and wine. Service is cheerful and efficient. The entire crew was accommodating and helpful. After lunch, you can go out on their decks and enjoy the view or stay inside to dance to tunes played by a DJ. Tip and tax is included on the cruise fee, though not on the separate drinks you order on board. They'll serve you drinks at your table or on the outside decks. We boarded at 11:30 am, and the buffet opened around that time too. We then sail shortly after 12 pm. We disembarked at 2 pm. Parking is available a block away in the Town Point Garage. I believe they usually have handicap parking close to the ship, but that area was occupied by a festival when we were there. They give a military discount. Sometimes you'll see a discount on their website too.

There is only one guy there so we carried our boards across the lawn to put in on a sandy beach that was right in the bay. Excellent spot and fantastic scenery. Today we went back and rented mountain bikes and rode up into false cape state park. The bikes weren't in great condition and we had to make adjustments ourselves. This could easily be a 5 star spot with more attention to maintaining equipment and getting staff to spend a little time offering advice and adjusting equipment to fit the client. If you know what you're doing, it's great. If you are a novice, you might be disappointed or a bit freaked out (in the middle of the bay struggling to get your paddle board back in or stuck in the park with a bike that keeps falling out of gear).
