Stayed here last night. The room was clean and it is located on Venice Beach. If you are looking for somewhere fancy to stay this is not the place for you. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is clean and on the beach that won't cost you a fortune then book your room now. I'm only giving 4 starts because the walls are very thin and the people above us must have been elephants. It is an older hotel so I understand. I would definitely stay here again.

I recommend this hotel due to the location & price,Noel hepled me out this time. You're walking to the beach sand It's not the most luxurious or anything but it's clean comfy & they have a cool lounge upstairs w/a great view of the beach/boardwalk...another lounge downstairs w/a fireplace, tables & chairs.. I've been here maybe 5 times..good everytime. You won't regret it..there's only one large room w/a living room...ask for that one fist lol

Went online to Hotels.com and booked one night at the hotel. It gave me two options... I may purchase it at the time of making my reservation or I have the other option of "pay at the hotel." I opted to pay at the hotel. I then received an email from the hotel asking for credit card as they wanted to do a pre-payment. I told them that was not what I agreed upon on my reservation with Hotels.com. They continued to tell me that in order to keep my hotel room I would need to pay upfront. Again I told them that that's not the option I had chosen on Hotels.com. They then suggested that I go onto their website and read their policy. Needless to say... I canceled altogether and will take my business elsewhere. Nowhere during checkout and booking this room did it state that I would need to do a pre-payment or pay anything upfront. They should disclose this somewhere while checking out/reserving.

My best friend and I stayed overnight here and had the best time. We only had time for a one night getaway and this place was perfect. Cute little room, literally on the sand and just a few blocks away from Venice and Muscle Beach. I'll definitely stay here again. Jonathan was also super helpful and accommodating!

Absolutely love this little gem of a hotel. We had a great experience here. We only stayed one night, price was decent, good for being right on the boardwalk. We were assigned a queen size bedroom with a view of the boardwalk and ocean. Some might say it was a little small, but the view definitely made the size better. It was perfect for us!! Greg, who checked us in was very friendly, gave us tour and let us know how to get to the hot spots. This hotel kinda felt like being in someones home, it was cozy, quiet and you kinda felt like you were the only one staying there. The hotel was pretty secure, gated and had key code for entry into the hotel, which made you feel safe when you arrived late at night or if you were just hanging out on the patio. The hotel is located down the boardwalk where a lot of the nice homes are located, so you weren't in the middle of the boardwalk chaos. There are 2 patio areas one on the roof top with a great view of the Pier and the boardwalk and the lower level patio with tables and chairs for lounging. Parking was easy for us, the manager gave us a parking permit to place on our windshield and we were able to park right outside the hotel(in the back alley). Which worked out great for us, if you've been to Venice before, parking can be a real hassle The next time we decide to stay overnight in Venice, I will for sure try this place out again!

I decided to stay here as well, making it a staycation while I show my friend around town. The hotel itself is in Marina Del Rey, and knowing west LA, I was dreading the parking situation at first. But fortunately, there was no issue finding parking. The rooms here were pretty spacious, with a comfy bed, and great amenities. There is a restaurant on the first floor, which served pretty decent Italian food. For more on that, check out my other reviews. The place is overall very comfortable, spacious, clean, and never too crowded. There is a pool at the back, adjacent to the marina. It is always refreshing swimming there in the daytime, and it's a nice place to relax with a drink in the evening time. This is a great option when visiting LA, or deciding on take a staycation.

They held my luggage so that I could enjoy salt restaurant one last time. This is my peaceful place now. I'm already planning my return.

The view of the Marina was beautiful especially being able to watch the sunset from our balcony. I felt it lacked the warmth that I usually feel the moment I arrive at any Ritz from valet to the door attendant etc. Same amenities in the room with Diptyque products, water bottles were regular plastic, the gym didn't have headphones - just those little things - no umbrellas upfront. We did enjoy the hot cocoa set up in a little gingerbread house and the hallway holiday decor were nice. We collect the Ritz hat wherever we stay and we saw one displayed at the boutique but they don't sell it the boutique and instead you'd have to see the concierge and they only had two branded items: hat and mug! What? Oh and the mug was sold out. On the day of departure I had to ask the concierge once more and lucky for me Amanda was working and when I asked her about the mug and other merch, she said she had one more mug! She was wonderful and turned things around for us - the kind of Ritz service we had longed for this visit. The night before another staff member was covering to help us at concierge who said mug was sold out. Hmmmm. Anyway, as mentioned this one didn't feel like the usual Ritz. Also valet is steep and to be expected at $60 per day.

This was particularly disappointing given the fact that the weather was absolutely beautiful, with the nice breeze accommodating the 75 plus degree or so weather. According to management, they have heard the immediate neighborhood and others speak about the infrequent hours in the closure, and plan on reopening it in time for Memorial Day weekend. It also did help that Sam's coffee call, another great spot inside this hotel was also closed. Apparently their hours are a little more stricter and based around the morning crowd. All in all, the ambience, location, and good vibe feeling still are going to dominate this particular location and hotel. You simply can't go wrong, even if the rooftop is closed. We ultimately went to the Rizzo restaurant inside. Whether you're a local or not, always try to call ahead and make sure that their rooftop is going to be open. It may very well enhance your visit tenfold.

Courtyard by Marriott has great proximity to Venice Beach (10-minute walk). There are lots of nice amenities here shared with Residence Inn. There was a fitness center, pool, small business center, and laundry facilities. They also had a water station in the lobby (and one in the fitness center). No issues with the WiFi. Our room had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We could even open the screen door to let some fresh air in. Towels were clean; the sheets were clean. The heating and cooling unit in the room worked well. You do have to insert your key card into the power switch to get electricity in the room. No real complaints about the room, except that they had some unfinished work in our bathroom on the ceiling... whatever work they were doing, they had a duct-tape situation going on and the tape would fall down when the shower got steamy... but no harm, no foul. They re-taped it back up the next day. Staff was pleasant. The front desk has little extra toiletries available if you forget to pack something. I do wish we got more orientation of the hotel and amenities when we initially checked in. We had a short stay here, so we didn't get to explore the premises that much. We had a nice stay in Marina del Rey overall. I can see this being a good hotel for an extended stay.
