Wonderful place to stay when visiting Los Angeles. It's a cool retro building, w/ close access parking. Very secure place, it felt safe. Also, very clean. The room was cleaned well daily, with fresh towels, etc. Mermaid mascot is ideal and it's so close to the beach, within a few blocks, but then there it is . . . the Pacific Ocean. Overall, not a bad experience but nothing I would rave about. Staff was nice but there's basically no amenities- paid parking by the day, no pool or hot tub, no breakfast or complimentary options. Very basic room but clean, vending machine outside didn't work so would've had to pay $3.50 for a can of sprite from the desk. If your only goal is being super close to the beach then this location is great but if you want to enjoy the room too, there's option decently close by with more to offer. read more

With a great location, on-premises parking, friendly and helpful staff, and updated rooms in an older (period-appropriate) building, the Inn at Venice Beach ticked all the boxes. The wife loved the powerful room heater at night, and the large TV did it for me. Comfortable needs, without any outside sounds, made for a very satisfied couple. It's close to memorable food - I'm looking at you Charcoal Venice, with a convenience store on the corner, and a short walk to Venice Beach, Abbot-Kinney. [His was a serious win. read more

Replying back to Taylor from in at Venice Inn they didn't really say anything in their comment back, but they were a cashless business but they are not abiding by the LA city cancel unanimously approved a ban on cashless retail in November council Heather Hunt, who introduced the band for implementation.July 23,2024 It's sad that you cannot use US tender to pay for things and a rudely said I had to leave that day because I had bank fraud and my cards were frozen again. Stayed here on two separate nights during our trip to LA recently. Location is just a few blocks away from the beach and close to a mini market, cafes and restaurants. Parking on site is available for $22 a night and they have ample space. The rooms are big and spacious -- the rooms on the third floor have higher ceilings. They have nice modern decorations in the room. While the beds are very comfortable. Toiletries are C.O. Bigelow and they have cotton balls and cotton buds available too. Service is great -- all the staff at the lobby, at the breakfast and housekeeping. The complimentary breakfast was simple, they had fruits, breads, pastries, cereals and hot drinks. Breakfast is located on the first floor at a small courtyard with a fountain. My only complaint is the noise: most of the rooms are facing the main road so the noise of the cars can be loud at odd hours. Also, floors and walls are too thin -- foot steps can also be heard in the middle of the night. This could be a problem for light sleepers. read more

Be careful, this hotel does not let you cancel your reservation! Had the more expensive loft room booked for two nights, a thank you to a friend. Friend tests positive for COVID two nights before check in. Didn't even realize when I made reservation that it was non-refundable. Given that COVID is still around, seems odd that cancellations not honored. Or at the very least, should have been offered to move the reservation to another weekend. Don't know of many hotels out there that don't allow for things like this. Very disappointed. read more

This hotel is in the perfect location! Not a far walk from The beach but just far enough to get out of the Venice boardwalk. Plenty of restaurants and markets right down the street. It's a fun area to stay in and the room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. They even let us leave our car parked here while we went to get breakfast and hang out by the beach for a bit! read more

Went back down and stated what I seen and he quickly give me another room and said that happens when people switch rooms. Hello we are in an pandemic where we are wearing masks and distance ourselves and you say that to me. So next room was ok but I did throughly clean sanitize before my family came in. Missing towels and a few other items that I had to ask the front desk for. And also had to call the front desk around one in the morning. I didn't get past the booking process. I attempted to book a reservation online, directly through the hotel's website. After securing a rate in the $150s and submitting my payment information, the site gave an error message: "We apologize. We were unable to confirm the reservation." I went back, refreshed the page, and restarted the booking process. Same error message. I sent a message to the email "reservations@...", screenshotting my error message and attempted reservation details, but hadn't heard back by the following afternoon. So I called the hotel directly and was told the rate was now higher--in the $170s--and that I could book by phone. I explained that I attempted to book at the more reasonable rate the day before, but was told the hotel could not honor my attempt. No wiggle room. I did not book. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If this was my initial customer service experience, what ensuing obstacles might I encounter there? And during a pandemic? No thanks. After researching hotels in the area, I picked this one for its customer service (among other things) but am roundly disappointed that my time has been wasted for being ignored and stonewalled after experiencing the hotel system's own error. A sincere hospitality business would have done better. read more

Inn at Venice Beach is within comfortable walking distance to the Venice Canals (that are gorgeous at sunset) and an array of good local restaurants (Baja Cantina) and comfort food chains (Islands Burgers). The Venice Boardwalk is less than a half mile as well so...Location, check! There are plenty of ways to get around. They have a reserved lot if you want to park for your stay and then Uber and Scooter all around. Plenty of transportation to wherever you want. They are friendly as when we checked in, the young man at the counter was very friendly and even upgraded our room to the loft without any push from me. The suite was appointed in a quirky manner which is consistent with their branding and the Suite had thebhone necessities....mini fridge, coffee maker, two TVs, and such. The value is there though I would have been upset if I paid the Suite price for this Suite. The area is not crowded early in the week, even during the summer, so I'd suggest a Monday-Wednesday stay if you can swing it. Nice staycation indeed. read more

What a quaint and fabulous inn! The staff was attentive -- my zipper was stuck on my dress, and I came downstairs for some help. One of the crew took me to a side room and tried to fix it. She tried for about 20 minutes, and even got the help of another team member. the worse customer service. We just got back and the room above us there was a lady STOMPING around (don't stay on lower floors) the entire night and then the next day a new guy doing the same. I use to love this place and have stayed there several times. They said they would discount the bill. NO RESPONSE. Emailed the managers twice. Nothing. But that's life. Here is why you stay at the Venice Breeze Suites. 1. Better location. 2. Better staff. 3. Right on the beach. 4. Way better rooms. (this hotel is not new) 5. Kitchens in Venice Breeze Suites. This hotel has passed it's time. Stay at another hotel. If you get the lower floors, you will regret it and who wants to stay on upper floors with one slow elevator. Just bad Management and if your paying 600.00 for two nights, do not stay here. They would not even respond to an email. Sorry staff. Simple and fine. 2 adults, 2 children in a room with 2 queens. And let me tell you, the room was twice as big as the one we had just come from in Arizona so we were happy. The beds are comfy, with lots and lots of pillows, plus down comforters inside duvets...thank god no frickin' bedspreads that you don't even want to touch to pull off the bed before you get in. Our room was 2nd floor (3rd floor above street level) and the window was on the alley corner so not right on Washington. The only noise that bothered me was at 2am I think some dude had finished his drinking and was shouting around for a cab for awhile. But I knew it would all quiet down within half an hour or so, and it did and was perfectly quiet for the rest of the night. Contrast in desk clerks: when we arrived at 1:30pm they told us the room would be ready at 3pm with such a finality that I'm sure he didn't even check. Whatever. But when we left, the very nice clerk REALLY wanted to give my 9-year-old daughter a piece of candy from the tray on the counter, and I wouldn't let her have it (we had just been at a Thanksgiving parade where my kids collected POCKETS-FULL of candy thrown from parade participants) and I guess that was just too mean for him because he reached under the counter and gave her a brand new, unopened box of raspberry chocolate mints. I relented. Anyway, the continental breakfast had more than enough choices, and all in all, it was a fair enough value for the area, and because my choices always come down to the comfort of the bed, I have to say I'm a fan. read more

Always busy on the streets so you're never left with that creepy unsafe feeling walking back at night. The hotel: love the front desk! Such a cute little entrance and if you're lucky you'll be greeted with some chocolate chip cookies =) The room: modern, clean, chic. We were given a room away from the main street so Noise level was never an issue. The breakfast: if you are big on breakfast this is not the breakfast for you. Offered complimentary with our room, I enjoyed a little snack in the early hours waiting for my husband to wake up from his sleep (I'm an early riser). We would head out for our official breakfast afterwards. Bagels, fruit, cereal and yogurt. I loved their coffee! The bad and the ugly slept in for this one. read more

Perfect location for Venice! Located a few blocks off of the beach however that was perfect for me. I ended up checking in super early And they only charged me an extra $30 which I was more than willing to pay. The gentleman that checked me in was older and work classes and had dark hair but he was super awesome and after a great conversation we ended up upgrading my room to the loft Suite! Fell in love with the room and want to actually return for my bday! On site parking was a plus! I think good value too; especially as they offered a roll in bed for $10 / night which helps the family vacation budget a bit :) There's in house parking for $20 / night. This might be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location cant be beat. The rooms (and dont be fooled by the outdated tiny lobby) are fantastic. Each one that I have stayed in is funky and eclectic and most importantly spotless. The breakfast in the perfect little courtyard is decent (though you will most likely step out and find something better a block toward the ocean). I highly recommend staying here. I dont think you will regret a single thing about it...unless you are roomed next to the guy that banged on the divider door at 10pm because a blow-dryer was in use (who does that?) read more

We are here from Washington and there is construction right outside our room that is so loud and booms like an earthquake. The hotel didnt tell us but once we arrived we were offered ear plugs and that is when we realized this hotel has no ethics or boundaries. All they care about is making money. This construction is one foot outside our room we huge bulldozers digging up pavement and concrete. The construction started at 0700!!!!! Don't stay here until this is over with and am the hotel of it is ongoing during your stay. read more

Wow! The second you step in, you are greeted by the friendliest guy, Amad! First thing he made sure we put money in the meter in the front so we don't get towed. Check in was quick. He gave us his restaurant recommendations as this was our first time visiting the area. The room was just like the photos on the website. We got the one with the loft. Nice and cozy. Complimentary breakfast was okay and simple. Patio area was cute. Check out was a breeze. Amad was once again there bright and early with a smile. He asked if we would be back. Of course! We would definitely be back because of the amazing customer service and we loved how it's close to the pier. The only thing I would say is to put a sign in front where to enter. I was confused because there wasn't a sign over the door. It might have been on the ground showing the Inn's name but I think the guy was covering it? Not sure. I stayed at this hotel on January 25th-27th. Staff is friendly. Close to the beach. The room is just ok. We stayed on the first floor and could hear the people above us walking around from about 10 pm to 2 am. The ceiling creaked loudly and the footsteps sounded like thunder. We called the front desk but the noise continued. The noise began again at 6 am. This happened both nights despite our repeated calls to the front desk. No one ever contacted us or tried to rectify the situation. If you stay there, stay on the top floor. No relaxation to be had here. For the amount of money, we spent it was not worth it and I would not stay there again. Venice Breeze Suites was a much more relaxing and quiet hotel with a view of the ocean. read more

Hands down, best hotel I have stayed at in a long time. I travel a lot; been to high end and low end hotels. What I loved most about this hotel was the quaintness. From the minute I walked in, the staff made me feel like they were there to make me happy. As a fellow traveler, let me break it down... 1) the price was better than I could find anywhere else. I was looking for cheap parking, close to the beach, free breakfast, with high ratings. This spot hit the nail (on the internet). 2) I checked in very late at night and there was someone to help me bring my bags up. It's a very small hotel, so that attention was so nice! 3) The continental breakfast was to be expected, however the same man was there to greet you everyday and remembers you. Since it's a small hotel, you get the opportunity to meet other guests for breakfast. It's such a family feeling; which I love. 4) any need that you could possibly imagine is fulfilled by the staff. Just dial 0! 5) my room was spotless and not in the least deceiving from the pictures. It was so nice to be in a clean modern room. * just a little tip about me... I'm a traveling single mom. I had a wonderful stay and the staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are nice, clean, and updated. The beach is a very short walk from the hotel and there are many bars and restaurants in the area. The parking is worth it as it is at the bottom of the hotel. There is also complimentary continental breakfast. On my first day, My room had a plumbing issue and water was all over the bathroom. The night auditor was so kind to help us and we cleaned everything up. For our inconvenience, we received a credit (the hotel was booked) and maintenance staff was sent up to our room to ensure we wouldn't face the same problem again. I would like to say thank you to Alfonso for being so kind during our stay. He helped us with getting around the city and gave us some touring recommendations. The night auditor, I don't remember his name, was helpful to us as well. I understand that sometimes not everything is perfect but the staff really went above and beyond to correct all issues and made sure we had a great stay. read more

The Inn at Venice Beach is in an ideal location and is an ideal stay. Being a modern type of guy I can't go wrong with them, and I've liked it so much that I'll probably stay here next time. Or look into another location amongst their brand. Onto my experience. It was the weekend of our nations Independence. The rooms were just as their website described. Pristine and well decorated. My friend and I stayed on the second floor above the Orange Lanterned Court Yard. It was a lovely view to walk out to each morning. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but the little I did was quite pleasant. (Side note: As everyone was out hunting parking on the Fourth. They actually monitored the lot in order for us guests to keep our parking. Good on them.) The only reason I am giving this review a markdown is because with locations like this comes some sacrifice. The restaurant/bar next door with it's patrons can get a little loud. For a light sleeper, which I am not, it could be an issue. And while I'm on a roll. I must mention we didn't have the continental breakfast on any morning, but the hours were there. It's nice to see it go on until 1000. Unlike other establishments that shutdown at 0900. (As it was my first adventure to Marina Del Rey we sought places down the street from The Inn, C&O's, Canali, etc... Don't let our disinterest turn you away from what was probably some good dining.) Anywho, it's priced well for what you get and once more for the location. The staff is friendly, and once more, did I mention location? Give it a try.
