Taxis aren't very common in Barcelona and while we did use the subway system a lot, Barcelona Bus Turístic was our main source for traveling around, which was our main reason for using this company, especially because our hotel was one of the stops along the way, which was fantastic. Barcelona Bus Turístic was typically on time to each stop. The drivers were safe and the staff were very kind. There was an instance where we were in line for a very long time and they cancelled a line which made things worrisome on how to get back to the hotel but it all worked out (our hotel was on a very steep mile+ incline). We loved the option to be able to listen to automated tour guide and learn about the city during the drive. The sound quality was decent and we were able to hear clearly. Make sure you wear sunscreen if sitting on the top deck and enjoy the scenery!

He was talking loudly the entire time, making it impossible to hear the tour commentary. When we politely asked him to lower his voice, he was dismissive and instead played personal music from his phone. I've taken several bus tours before, and this was by far the absolute worst experience.

Phone Issue since we landed in Barcelona no connection we booked this tour on our way to Miami after we left US problems Viator didn't want to hear it after our phone worked the day after tour. 2. Tour guide said he left voice mail , there was no voice mail . 3 . Directions in Spanish with the phone not working our hotel was able to print something for us to try & into the church , no luck. 4. We waited in front of church to try & meet guide no luck we checked with 6 other groups no luck however one group sounded like to new something about our name. 5. Why would we just miss this tour after paying for me , wife, and another couple does Viator need $239 that bad . We could not get our money back we will never use Viator plus I will let anybody I know how greedy this company is. sincerely Rose & Phil PS I have sent in other reviews & I will continue to do so

When the confirmation came in, it looked like the same tour name, Gothic, but when I checked in for the 9am tour, it was clarified that the 3pm tour would be different, Gaudi Modernism. Reservations online were quick and easy. It costs 3 euro to hold a spot. I gladly paid the 6 euro for both. I took the 9am Gothic Tour on a Monday. So many people booked they called an extra guide. Many showed up without a reservation. There were three guides and we broke into three large groups. Juliana was great. She was little and didn't have an umbrella; we very temporarily lost her twice! But her knowledge and enthusiasm more than made up for it! She was also very personable. I highly recommend her! Natalia gave the Gaudi tour at 3pm. She was also extremely knowledgeable and patient; our tour involved getting the group on and off a metro to Familia Sagada. Would welcome her as a tour guide again. As per the custom, you decide the cost at the end. They took my dollars and euros. I highly recommend these tours!!!!

From her easy to find meeting point, early arrival and very relaxed pace strolling through Barcelona's incredible Gothic Quarter (and her dropping historical "tapas" along the way noting places of significance) her professionalism & care for clients is SO obvious !! Oh, and then the FOOD ! we were taken to 3 spots I never would have found for a great cross-section of Spanish at first bar (Chorizo sausage, Bull's tail done PERFECTLY with the richest sauce, rich bread & potatoes and a nice vermouth). Next was a Catalonian restaurant for a their special take on Paella rice, "Pisto" of eggplant, croquettas,etc.). Wine pairing was terrific And finally a dessert spectacular stop in the Jewish Qtr of custard/Flan, cake and ice cream selection. A local "cava" sparkling Catalan wine and coffee offered. In summary we had a very mixed, small relaxed group of 6 (two from NYC, 2 from Holland, 1 from Seattle, 1 from California & 1 from Cadiz Spain) who were all open to new tastes & experiences that bonded very well this pleasant evening !!! HIGHLY recommend this tour....but do it ASAP upon arrival in Barcelona, as Maribel emails all guests a follow-up list of local favorite restaurants, bars and shops that will be IN-valuable the remainder if your stay. Unfortunately we ended our trip with her...and now have to return to try as many places on her list as possible !

Our tour guide, Miguel, didn't seem very knowledgeable about anything, and I didn't feel that the food he referred us to was all that special or even that good. Actually, I felt short changed. I have to say, the food that I found on my own was way better than anything Miguel. Also, apologies for the lateness of this review. I did this tour in 2015.

My only piece of advice: when you buy tickets online, make sure you're buying them for the actual day you plan to visit... not the day you're purchasing them. My ass felt SO silly when I realized I bought mine for the wrong date. But honestly, it worked out because I just came back the next day as they were sold out for the original day I planned to come.

I suggest trying ai to delete the people if they are an issue for you. Fuggedaboudit! ...and they promised to share their recipe for their mojito ice cream. JUST WAIT. You'll love it! Photos to follow..." That's how I posted to FB upon getting home from our experience at Barcelona Slow Travel. I was eager to share that to give a sense of enthusiasm that I had for that evening! Our hosts, Christina and Guillermo, were warm, friendly, funny and eager to please. While some of the treats on their menu were not a surprise (olive plate, gherkins and pickled garlic, and gazpacho) the rest of the evening's menu was entirely dependent on what Guillermo could find FRESH at the market that morning. ...and FRESH made all the difference. Their space is intimate and inviting. After getting to know each other for a bit, each of the guests were seated around a large butcher block table and given a cutting board and a sharp knife, along with a task - from zesting limes to veining garlic to prepping mushrooms, mussels, peppers and the rest, they put us to work! Guillermo ensured that each guest was performing their task just right, while giving us the background of the dishes we were preparing, making small talk and generally making everyone feel "at home." Frankly, the next several hours passed by in a blur. No, it wasn't the wine (okay, maybe just a little bit) but it was the pleasure of the company, the work involved, and the gastronomy! The evening was a resounding SUCCESS. I would not hesitate to return there. (In fact, one of our group was there for her second time!) So if you're in Barcelona and want to understand the food and the pacing of the dining experience, be sure to check these guys out! You won't be disappointed!

When we arrived via taxi around 3:30 PM from our IHG Hotel Indigo we had some time to locate our location to meet our tour guide. We finally figured out our English tour guide meeting location where we met others on our tour. When we walked over to La Sagrada Familia Basilica our English tour guide distributed audio headsets. This UNESCO marvel offers more than just breathtaking views. It is Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, a basilica full of symbolism and architectural brilliance. The La Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona has been under construction for over 140 years. Our English tour guide shared its fascinating history, from its beginnings to the ambitious goal of completing it in 2033. The La Sagrada Familia Basilica will be the highest building in Barcelona and the highest church in the world with a height of 172 meters. La Sagrada Familia Basilica is very impressive from its size, both outside and especially from the inside with the many colored glass windows with the sun shining through during our 4-5 PM audio tour. I feel this was a great time of day to experience La Sagrada Familia. This should be your #1 place to visit in Barcelona. Our taxi from the La Sagrada Familia Basilica to Park Guell cost 15 Euros cash including gratuity. More to come regarding our next 7 PM guided tour of Park Güell.
