Wow. Just wow. Was…read morewandering around Chester with some friends one afternoon. I'm from California & live in Toronto, Canada - you can tell Californians because when we live other places we whine about not getting a good burrito. Yes, but I'm in Chester - I wasn't expecting anything or trying to emulate 'home' - we were just walking by & a bit hungry so we popped in thinking it'd be kitschy & cool. Wow. Srsly. The food is a mixture of cuban, spanish, mexican, brazilian, etc. I had a burrito. I would actually rate the burrito a bit better than most of what passes in Toronto. The service was awesome, even tho I hadnn't quite tuned my 'English' ears yet (was needing translation). However the margarita was world-freakin-class. I was expecting some sort of margarita mix/tequila mixture, but it honestly tasted like fresh lime and tequila - like an authentic margarita. It - was- awesome. I doubt I'll have many chances to visit Chester again, but if I do, I'm totally hunting down this place. For expats who might be in the area: check this out for your burrito fix! Wait, now I want to visit Chester again soon and get all around their menu. nom nom nom

There are also non-alcoholic cocktails like Raspberry Ripple too, I plumped for an interestingly titled cocktail called 'Dave'. They all come in fancy glasses so you can do your best Del-Boy impression with the parasols and cherries! They are not cheap though at £5+ for some, so perhaps a place to visit for one round only. There is also a dance-floor in the centre of a good size, which I'm sure was packed later in the evening. Fiesta Havana also does food too, but although we enquired the wait time was too long, by virtue of its popularity. The dishes that came past us looked tasty and were predominantly tapas.

They have an extensive range of Latin American Tapas dishes as well as a selection of main courses for those with a bigger appetite They offer five Tapas dishes for £20 at selected times and this is usually enough for two if you get a garlic bread or some nachos on the side. The food always comes quickly, is well presented and tastes great. I would recommend the salmon, prawn and orange salad, the meatballs, the mussels, the lamp parcels and the nachos. All of which are mouth-watering. They have a great post dinner liqueur coffee menu as well as a range of sugar cane rums aged across various years, these slip down a treat! I've eaten here five times now and have been satisfied every time!

Specialising in freshly cooked latino food, this is one restaurant that stands out from the mediocre Mediterranean style. OMG the menu is ridiculous - there is just too much to choose from! I went for tapas as I thought it would be quite small and manageable, but I was deceived, and then left with the choice of whether to leave it and deal with dessert or not. In the end, I had to finish as much as I could without exploding and then wait a while for the digestive juices to kick in. And then look at the desserts. Tapas is 3 dishes for £12.60, which is practically the alternative to a main meal, although there is a great early bird menu which is cheap as chips. For dessert I had the mango and passionfruit cheesecake, which I managed to cram into my already groaning belly. I just had to remind myself to do up my pants before I stood up, although I would have suffered the embarrassment because the food was so delicious! The service is good too - the staff are pleasant and friendly and you can just go in and sit at the bar if you want, which is sometimes fun as all the glass-fronted restaurants on this side of Liverpool One give you a great opportunity to people watch. The drinks menu is quite impressive too, and they even cater for kids, so whether you're a wino with an appetite or a 6-year-old pest, you'll be looked after. All I need now is someone to accompany me so I can start working my way through that menu.....

We got there having already eaten so can't comment on the food, other than that the offerings chalked up behind the bar looked pretty good. The barman was friendly and brought us over a ramekin of wasabi peas to go with our drinks. As mentioned in my check-in, the jukebox is pretty excellent. A nice mix of old and new, with some eclectic choices and some classics, and £1 for five songs. On a Saturday night there wasn't a wealth of atmosphere and it was pretty quiet. Last orders were called shortly after we started our drinks so we called it a night then. I think I'll return to De Nada at some point for a casual drink with friends and perhaps food, just not for a rip-roaring night out.

The food here is always great and about on par with the prices to be expected in Chorlton, the portions are on the smallish side but are priced within that 'tapas order when you feel like it' range so it's reasonably acceptable, you'd probably need to order a couple of things if you were desiring a full meal. They have a decent range of cask beer and the keg on offer is not your average mainstream beers either which is always a pleasant occurence. Because of it's location, it is never packed solid with people so it is a great option in Chorlton if you are after a beer and a bite without contending with the usual Chorlton crowds especially on a Friday/Saturday evening. De Nada has a lunch time special running pretty much constantly where you can grab an empanada and a beer for £5 which is a bargain. There is good outdoor seating on a front deck for the warmer months. In Winter this is relegated primarily to smokers which can be a slight turn off when you are walking up to the bar, but it's fairly common practice around Manchester.

While the menu is somewhat limited vs some other Las Iguanas restaurants I have been to, it still offers plenty of choice, both standard ones, like burgers, and more exotic, like Ximxim. Amazing food, staff and ambience. The staff is very knowledgeable and polite, and the portions are generous.

The style is more Latin-Spanish than Spanish-Spanish, with a combination of 'Tapas Time' and regular dishes - if you're in the mood for sharing (and why wouldn't you be?) you can, or if you're just wanting to keep to yourself, that's OK too. One the regular menu there are a host of pretty difficult to pronounce treats - you could plump for the Brazilian Xinxim, the Bahia Moqueca or the Camãrio a lo Criolla. And the dishes are more than a mouthful as far as portions are concerned too, with plenty on the plate you won't go away hungry... We were in the mood for a little Tapas though, and took them up on the offer of 5 dishes for £24. If you just wanted to pick at one or two, they range between £5 and £7 each. You can also get 3 for £14 - handy if you're on your own. So, what did we go for? - Calamares - a firm favourite, crispy squid (including the tentacles!) with a spiced aioli, - Gambas in a mild garlic and chilli sauce, - Pato Taquito; basically a duck fajita with a really good spiced cranberry sauce - Cha-Cha Chorizo - Chorizo in a spicy tomato sauce - Quesadilla - we went for the chiken We also got a side of 'Patas Bravas in Bits' - the traditional potato dish, but deconstructed with the tomato and aioli in a separate dish. I think this is a brilliant idea; you don't have to deal with soggy spud - crispy all the way! The venue itself is a little on the small side, and seems a bit swamped in the hugeness that is the Great Hall, and some of the tables feel a little cramped. The ambiance is OK, but sat around the back I felt we were missing out somehow (not a feeling I've had when I've been sat out the front). The staff were great, really friendly, and made up for some of the disappointing bits. Overall, an OK, rather than good Tapas place, a bit commercial, and definitely not authentic, but worth a try if you're in the Trafford Centre and want to eat (and quite a bit of a step up over Maccy D's).

The bar staff are always friendly and approachable, and I'm pretty sure one of the guys is superman (it's the hair I tell you..) We got 2 x jaguar milk (how does one milk a jaguar I wonder?..) this tasted like dessert in a glass. 2 x vanilla Mai Tai's which were strong and yummy 2 x Las Iguanas Cosmos which were my least favourite as they didn't taste anything like regular cosmos, which is what I was expecting... but if you read the menu it does clearly say they use pomegranate juice instead of cranberry in their version so that was my bad. I'll be back to sample the food. P.s. you have to buy 2 of the same cocktail.

Once we walked in the host that came to the door at first was trying to tell us if we didn't have a reservation then they didn't have room....I was confused because even though today was one of days of Pride, their restaurant wasn't full at all. (Wish I took a picture). I then asked why we can't sit at the bar...the host wasn't sure so he went and asked the manager and the manager stated why can't they. Alright so my point lol. We sat at the high bar tables and they explained that you can scan the QR code or just order at the bar. The bar option was easier for us since it was a group. Made our order at the bar and that was simple. Now the 2 for 1 drinks start coming out and the first one was VERY lack luster. It was the passion fruit mojito which tasted like mint fruit juice. I did not taste a lick of alcohol. (Just an FYI the 2 for 1 drinks apply to all cocktails). We then receive another drink which I can't remember the name and it was decent but I was good with water after that one since it once again tasted like fruit juice. Once the food starts coming out, I'm excited! The guac and chips, they actually made it into nachos...apparently guac and chips with salsa is something people don't normally order....so after some explaining then they understood what was needed. When the Moqueca came out it smelt so delicious!! Oddly enough the appetizer came out with the entree as well. The one I tried was the mango and cheese empanada. It was pretty good...nothing to rave about. Alright back to the Moqueca, it was delicious. For warn you that you do have to de shell the shrimp and clams but besides that it was great! It's not 100 percent like the original but they did a great job. All in all the restaurant was decent. I do think they need to get their staff on the same page, and work on the ratios when making a drink but otherwise it was a decent place to eat.
