Cambusa Resturant on the lower level offer good breakfast buffet and the pool area is great for all ages. SERVICE: Excellent and very friendly. If you're looking for a place to stay in Subic Bay i do recommend staying here. The hotel is walking distance to many good restaurants and 5 to 10 minutes drive to Subic Bay Beach where you and rent jet skis.

To start with, we came for breakfast when there's an ongoing wedding at the veranda. The breakfast buffet is prepared for the wedding guests and not for some ramdom , unexpected guests like us. The headwaiter accomodated us still with merely a 3 minute wait and the lady headwaitress profusely apologized for a very short wait. I perfectly understand the situation . I highly commend the crew for stepping up to the plate of unexpected guests on a very short notice. That is a world class Filipino hospitality for you. Very gracious, polite and extremely accomodating. There's a wide array of Filipino and American foods. The food is thoughtfully cooked, tasty and I will say it again world class. Desserts are awesomely delicious! They are giving us our money's worth. This place is a tourists hidden secret hideaway , a virtual treasure trove of deliciously made Filipino breakfast buffet. The hotel is nicely located in a yacht club ... It has a vantage view of the mountains with some foggy skyline, so pretty and picture perfect. The plank where the yacht docks have a mini esplanade feel to it, great for strolling around and reminiscing... This hotel is certainly worth your buck!

Great views of the surrounding area from just about any room since its the tallest hotel in the area. Nice pool on the roof but it doesn't open until 4pm. The pool in the lobby opens early. If you need to hire a driver, the front desk will assist and good prices for daily or hourly rates. We hired a car to Pampanga SM and it was 3200 pesos. Unfortunately, I have not tried to food in the Cafe on the roof but seems popular. Try Angels Bakery across the street for a tasty breakfast.

The dining area is really cool. While we ate dinner you can see kids playing in the pool and your table is overlooking outward to Subic Bay. We had a party of like around 12 people. The service wasn't very good. The food was also not very good either. It took an extra long time. My parents can attest because they said when it first opened it was good, but this second time around it wasn't. The lumpia was soggy! That is a crime! We thought they microwaved it honestly. The we ordered pinakbet and it was sooo salty. They literally dumped a bunch of fishpaste with a side of vegetables. That was a drastic mistake. I would not come back.

Price was a bit much, by Philippine standards, but worth it when considering the alternative locations and places we could have stayed at in Olongapo or Barreto. Hotel restaurant was fine, but we were bored with the included breakfast by the time our ten day stay ended. Also, the main waitress was unable to put a smile on her face... in stark contrast to every other employee there... so probably needs some retraining (or a vacation). Her demeanor became our running joke during our stay. We actually took bets as to whether she would ever smile. We'd tell her little jokes to see if she'd crack a grin... Nope! WARNING: Room 310 has super thin walls... and an adjoining door to the next room over. People in that room had a crying baby and it sounded like it was happening in our own room! Halfway through our stay we had them move us upstairs to the 4th floor and an ocean view for a bit more money and were happy with the outcome.

All of the staff I encountered were all kind and helpful. The resort is a bit secluded from other businesses but has its own restaurant with a bar. The restaurant also has a big balcony with tables and a gorgeous view of the beach. The rooms were nice as well. My favorite part was the bathroom because it had a waterfall shower and it was very spacious in there. We did have an issue with the blankets , there were a few old stains on them but someone came by to change all of the blankets out. There's also an infinity pool right next to the private beach. And also a gym with an elliptical, treadmill, and weights. The gym even had small towelettes.

After all, ambiance IS everything. Camayan was the last resort we checked out and it ended up being the one we chose to have our family excursion. Every beach resort in comparison was just disappointing in comparison. Camayan's location is just beautiful. Completely isolated and hidden away from the streets of Subic, Camayan is a beautiful, well maintained beach resort, which has a lot to offer its guests, from a bar/restaurant in the middle of the resort, to a huge pool, to huts for those who wish to BBQ to even offering water activities. There is absolutely something for everyone. My family didn't book a room, which I was told sometimes range between P5000-7000 a night, rather we stayed at the resort for a day. The entrance fee is P500 and renting a hut set us back P1000, which was not too bad. We were able to BBQ everything we wanted. NOTE: There is a charge in bringing alcohol. The beach itself is gorgeous. Crystal clear water and the sand is fine and clean. I can see why so many teleseryes and films are shot here. Just a gorgeous, serene location. For families with kids, there is Ocean Adventure across the way, which features dolphin shows and interactions, which is sure to please aquatic enthusiasts. If you're looking for the best possible place to stay in Subic for a vacation, I highly recommend checking this resort out.

We can hear the waves while sleeping. Great working A/C, electric pot for hot water, robes, in room safe, strong shower pressure, clean pool, 2 min walk to baloy beach and other restaurants/resorts. The restaurant was good for breakfast and shakes, NOT for lunch nor dinner. Mediocre Filipino food! The beach front is clean, but at low tide there is a visible pipe that drains out to the ocean from the hotel (sewage?? I don't know just smells like it). I don't know how people can swim in that murky water, best option is the pool. Although someone cleans the short beachfront, trash constantly floats and brought by incoming waves from other resort. Front desk service, restaurant staff, and housekeeping was TOP NOTCH! All were friendly, professional, and greeted us every time (hence the 4 star). 2 min walk from baloy beach, however this is dirtiest active beach I've ever seen. A long stretch of trashy shores - empty trash bags, food wrappers, deadwood, dog-poop, and more. Mangrove is great for the drinks, pool, and view of the bay - that's it! Try driving up north to Bolinao.

Had I not been so dead -tired from the long travel last night and have the strength to browse more hotels to go to, I would not step foot on this hotel. Expensive than Marriot's with no continental or buffet breakfast . That's the killer, so overpriced! Added bonus is the sewer pipe seen directly spewing to the beachfront...
