Stumbling upon Camayan was a bit of an accident. My family and I were scouting along the coast of Bataan through Bagac and some parts of Mariveles until we reached SBMA for a beach resort we would feel comfortable staying in. After all, ambiance IS everything. Camayan was the last resort we checked out and it ended up being the one we chose to have our family excursion. Every beach resort in comparison was just disappointing in comparison. Camayan's location is just beautiful. Completely isolated and hidden away from the streets of Subic, Camayan is a beautiful, well maintained beach resort, which has a lot to offer its guests, from a bar/restaurant in the middle of the resort, to a huge pool, to huts for those who wish to BBQ to even offering water activities. There is absolutely something for everyone. My family didn't book a room, which I was told sometimes range between P5000-7000 a night, rather we stayed at the resort for a day. The entrance fee is P500 and renting a hut set us back P1000, which was not too bad. We were able to BBQ everything we wanted. NOTE: There is a charge in bringing alcohol. The beach itself is gorgeous. Crystal clear water and the sand is fine and clean. I can see why so many teleseryes and films are shot here. Just a gorgeous, serene location. For families with kids, there is Ocean Adventure across the way, which features dolphin shows and interactions, which is sure to please aquatic enthusiasts. If you're looking for the best possible place to stay in Subic for a vacation, I highly recommend checking this resort out.

    Love it

I don't get all the negative reviews. I stayed here while visiting family in the area (2015) ,I flew in from San Diego Ca and I found the place to be beautiful. The water /beach was beautiful. The room I stayed in was clean, the staff was very friendly and for the area it was modern enough. Lots of activities to do at the resort and also next door at the ocean adventure place. Overall, great place for the price. There was a slight storm the second night I was there, and some trash did end up on the beach but that is normal with every beach in the world now days (due to humans) the staff cleaned it up once the storm ended. Great spot for a quick getaway if you are in the area.

We had a enjoyable weekend stay experience. It is a privately own resort in a town known for hot spring. The location is reachable by either private driving or public transport. It is about 45 minutes to hour from my hometown, Binan. Online reservation is welcome ( Google their website) but my niece reserved the place in person. It requested a deposit to reserve the preference date. It has three villas to choose from , has private entrances for each. Villa 2 is reasonably suited for our party of 40. The accommodation aside for its one big adult pool and small kiddie pool with shower and toilet in the area includes 5 average bedrooms with shared shower and toilet for every 2 rooms, has 2 or one double deck queen bed, twin bed and two pull out beds on each room with tv and cable as plus. The large kitchen has stove , refrigerator, water dispenser with one free refill , kitchen utensils as provided that change use. The big dining area and BBQ grill made our dining experience pleasurable. The wide garden area delighted us to fully enjoy the prepared group games. The billiard table , karaoke , big kids yard , darts added to our entertainment . The driveway parking secured our cars plus it's security camera gave us peace of mind. It costed me Php22,000 which is the average cost for 7 pm to 5 pm private resort rental as everyone was saying. Affordable rate for a large gathering. The place is descent, neat and clean. The way I look at it, the place may be not even 5 year old establishment. There was no corkage fee for all the foods and drink we brought in. Provide it is a home cooked meal and hit catered. Curfew hours rule doesn't apply as long as we were considerate of the people of neighboring villas. It was a good decision to spent our family gathering here. They provide only bedding so do bring your own towels and toiletries. Highly recommended for any of your event.

I was pleasantly surprised that the photos they had online where similar to the real thing. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the pool was well-maintained. Since it is a hot spring resort, the water temperature of the pool was a little bit hot during the afternoon, but it was still tolerable (the kids didn't care, and still swam despite the heat). It was nice for night swimming since it was not too chilly. Overall we were happy with our stay and would recommend it to family and friends.

Then when we arrived at the breakfast area next day they are asking us to pay for another 900 pesos for the 4th person for breakfast. This is all misleading and highway robbery for people coming to this resort. they did not communicate this extra payments accurately on their confirmation. the wait staff looks like they are done with their job and not happy which showed they are not happy being there for clients either. it was such a bad experience. the company van for staff they are renting smells bad and has a cockroach inside. we had to kill while we are riding it. the beach water requires cleaning since there were some trash around the sides. no elevator either. overall not a good experience for this expensive place.

Edit: Had to bump this up to two stars from one because of our waiter, Kevin. Best service we had by far. Very accommodating and a great person. Also we gave the food a second chance and the italian foods were 10x better. Not sure if it was a different chef or what we ordered, but just a heads up for anyone going!

Rooms are dirty, black mold on window sills and in bathroom, floor tiles missing, no shower curtain or towels. Really? Went out to soak in the hot springs, left a shirt on the bed, came back and it reeked of musty mildew smell, threw it on floor. Went to sleep on the rock hard bed, pillow smelled so bad I used a clean shirt from my luggage as a pillow. Korean food only, poor excuse for live entertainment and overpriced. There are better places that cost less and are more accommodating to Americans, Filipinos and Indians. IF you are Korean they will treat you like royalty, if not you pay same price and get mistreated. FACT: Years ago a local church group visited, only the Korean members of the group could use the pools, Filipino members got to sit on the benches our front and wait. This is called "discrimination" for those that don't know. You really do not want to go here.

I'd say it's a great place to have an event like a wedding or large family get together. Yes, kids are allowed which make it even greater and allow you to enjoy with them if you choose to bring them. The place has multiple pools, jacuzzi, and hot springs. The entrance includes food you can choose between having a lunch or dinner. Be careful ordering other stuff because they are extra charge. The food was a buffet style but you can get a hot pot for extra charge. Which we opted to do. It was good. You can also stay over night and book a room. There is also a massage and spa. I got a one hour session massage which was very relaxing and price is not too bad. Actually a great price. I'd definitely come again when I'm in the Philippines.

We had our (una at) huling hirit sa tag-init at WaterCamp Resort in Kawit, Cavite. The place was okay, it was a big waterpark (I like saying that word because it reminds me of the movie Grown Ups) with adult and kiddie pools with slides, and a wave pool. The shower rooms were clean and relatively well-maintained considering there are a lot of people coming there. Guests can choose to stay in tables or cabanas according to their budget and there are several areas for grilling, so families can definitely bring their baon, or order from the restaurant inside (which I wasn't able to try, unfortunately). I liked that the place is very family-friendly; it's ok to swim in t-shirt and shorts (as long as there's no metal) and they're very strict about prohibiting alcoholic drinks in the vicinity. I had a slight issue about breastfeeding my four-month old baby in the cabana, but I'm pretty much used to nursing in public by now. The entrance fee was reasonable (240 for adults, 210 for kids) for the place is big with lots of amenities. My daughter had the BEST time swimming there. She just swam and swam until she was too tired and fell asleep. She was so happy that I think an hour drive going to the place is absolutely worth it.

I have had to call the front desk for more issues and "special requests" (which at any other resort, would be considered normal) more times in the last 24 hours than anyone should need). 1. Key cards don't work- they didn't have the password to activate it so the gave me a master key card- yes-I had access to all rooms. Security is clearly not a concern. 2. Prior to us checking in, they didn't a quality check of the room. So at 5am when 3 of us we're trying to shower and get out to our excursion, the top bathroom had no water for shower or a flushing toilet. The first floor had no hot water- and to make things even more annoying was they thought we just didn't know how to turn on the faucet. 3. The safe does not work- in fact none of the safes work. - again, security is not a big concern. Neither is resolving issues. 4. Apparently house keeping doesn't have a checklist and if they do, checking the amount of toilet paper isn't on the list. So with 3 women in a 2 bedroom loft, with the TP clearly running out, one still has to call to get it replaced. (Does this sound like a 4or 5 star resort to you yet?). Same situation with bottled water. One has to ask for it. 5. They don't have wash cloths (face towels) or loofahs at this "resort". Never in my life and extensive travels, has any hotel not provided a wash cloth. This might sound petty but when you are in a county where it is hot and dusty, it's important. Who packs their own towels when you are going to a hotel??? Even after several calls to the front desk and 2 requests for a manager, no one has even contacted us or acknowledged the issues. It's only my second day into being here and I'm not thrilled but after many flights and hotel check-ins- packing up and finding another resort for a few days is not an option I really want to consider. So we're stuck over paying for 1 star services in a 2 star hotel.

You would not think this didn't go anywhere! We actually tried booking through Airbnb but they only limit it to sixteen people; or I think Airbnb's requirement. The representative told us to communicate through Facebook instead as we needed a big group reservations for 30 as their description on Airbnb stated they can accommodate up to 30 people! Easy reservations with them via phone and the best place to go so far since visiting the main island! The resort has their own farm of fruits and veggies so everything is fresh and depends on the season; they can only make certain meals during the season. Food is pretty decent. We reserved the villa for our stay called - 'Sta. Teresita Villa' where it has its own private infinity pool. The villa has its own kitchen, two and half bathrooms and two bedrooms. It has great views! It was so awesome! We all didn't want to leave!! We also rented additional rooms that had outdoor jacuzzi's. You can order set meals for 5 or 10 or ala carte. Just to let you know, if you are used to American portions, you may have to order more than average. They have fresh buko drinks, too. They plan to add a zip lines in the resort. I can't wait! Tips to remember: - Weather is still very warm here so don't over dress. OK, I mean HOT and humid! - Bring bug spray especially during rainy season. Bugs are huge here!! Bring slippers! - pools have overhead covers so even if rained on, you can still swim. Bring waterproof camera bags. - No wifi except in the lobby. Free wifi. 3G goes on and off within the resort so good luck! No use coming here if you are working! - It's easy to use Waze to get here but leaving, make sure to start the Waze while using the wifi in the lobby or it won't turn on till a few km's out! Remember how you got there. - They do accept credit cards. - Bring snacks or drinks as their snack bar is limited. - Make sure to explore the resort, their crops and their pet snakes! - They do have a few blackouts. - Wake up before sunset to check out the lake and mountain views! Bring your good cameras! Also, love the weather in the morning! For my 650th review, I am dedicating it to Noni's Resort! Staff were very accommodating and super friendly for our big group! Prices were pretty good for our staff and what was offered. I will definitely recommend anyone to check them out and stay for a quick weekend getaway! You won't regret it! [69/100]
