After 6 months of seeing Dr. Daigle and his team at Central Street Chiropractic, I can say I feel…read morelike a new person. I started seeing them in late January with chronic neck and upper back pain. Both chiropractors developed a plan that was aimed to fix my injury and correct years of damage. We started with daily exercises, traction, laser therapy and adjustments 3 times a week. By March, I was sleeping better, I noticed more energy at the gym, I was able to workout longer and we were down to visits twice a week. By April, I had minimal pain, and in May, I officially went to maintenance visits. I can now say after 2 months of maintaining, I am pain free. I can finally sleep comfortably through the night, and able to make it through an entire shift without an ache or thought of my neck and back. They have helped me correct years of terrible posture and bad back behaviors so I can live a comfortable life! Dr. Daigle, Dr. Bill, Katie, Janet, and Carol, thank you for your patience and always making me feel like I was the only patient in the office. You all went above and beyond. I cannot thank you enough!

I decided to try a chiropractor because I suffer from migraines. I found Central Street…read moreChiropractic because it was close to me, and I didn't realize there was more than one chiropractic office downtown. During my first visit, I wasn't charged a copay, which seemed unusual. When I asked about it, I was told we would discuss billing at my next appointment. At my second visit, I noticed that the receptionist didn't greet patients; instead, you're expected to sign in on a sheet and wait. After meeting with the chiropractor, he explained my condition and recommended a treatment plan of 24 sessions. My insurance covers 12 visits, and I was comfortable with the costs he outlined: $40 copays for the covered visits and $55 per visit for the 12 sessions not covered by insurance. The issue arose when I was told that all visits had to be prepaid in large lump sums. For the first 12 visits, I would need to pay $480 upfront, split into two payments of $240. After those visits were completed, I would then be billed another $660 for the remaining 12 sessions, also divided into two lump-sum payments. I was told this was the practice's policy. In all my experiences with medical providers, including physical therapy, I have never been required to prepay for future appointments. The arrangement felt unusual, so while the chiropractor stepped out of the room, I looked it up and found information suggesting that requiring patients to prepay for extensive treatment plans can be considered a predatory practice. Whether it's due to their billing procedures or office policy, I was not comfortable paying for care before receiving it. I informed the chiropractor that I would not be moving forward with treatment and would seek care elsewhere. He simply reiterated that it was office policy and wished me luck. What makes the experience stand out even more is that earlier that day, I had accidentally walked into another chiropractic office, Greater Lowell Chiropractic, thinking it was where my appointment was scheduled. After leaving Central Street Chiropractic, I went back to Greater Lowell Chiropractic and asked how they handle billing. They explained that patients pay as they go, which is what I would normally expect from a healthcare provider. The difference in customer service was also noticeable. At Greater Lowell Chiropractic, I was greeted when I walked in, and they even offer parking validation. After my experience at Central Street Chiropractic, I was very impressed with the professionalism and patient-friendly approach at Greater Lowell Chiropractic.
