I was able to park right in front of the door, greeted immediately once I stepped inside and able to take my choice of seating. I'd already looked at the menu while on the plane and placed my order shortly after sitting down. I was ***pleasantly*** surprised by how quickly my food came out once I ordered. As I often do when visiting a place for the first time, I ordered an assortment of items. Two for dine in and one to go. My ranked items are below. 1. The red velvet spelt pancakes are different but worth trying. Not as fluffy as VHOP or the biscuits from Sevananda but still enjoyable. 2. Again - surprisingly - the Rasta pasta was a 2nd fav! Creamy. "Cheesy." Flavorful. 3. The lion's mane and hush puppies were just okay. The hush puppies - again - were different. Both items veered on the salty side. 4. The potatoes and vegan sausage side items were also just okay. Overall, I had a good visit. 10/10 for service. 7-8/10 for food. BUT still worth a try.

Only lost a star because I was a bit disappointed in the Mac and cheese. It's pictured baked with melted cheese on top and that's not how it was delved at all, it was more just like spiced pasta (still good but not what I was looking for)

Because of the lackluster flavors of the dish I had asked the server if he had any hot sauce. His answer was "that will be 75 cents." I just needed a couple of drops of hot sauce. Discontinued the $10 Nova Bagel Special -- So Disappointed!…read more Super disappointed on my visit to Goldberg's Deli at Toco Hills today. I used to be a regular here specifically for the $10 Nova bagel special, but I just found out it has been discontinued. I completely understand that prices are going up everywhere and businesses have to make money, but customers need a break, too. Having just one steady, affordable staple on the menu is what builds customer loyalty and keeps people coming back. With the $10 special, I was coming in 4 to 5 times a month. Now? I'll be lucky if I stop by once a month, if that. While cutting the special might save them money on paper in the short term, they're losing repeat business in the long run. I'm sitting down to eat today, but unfortunately, I won't be stopping by nearly as often as I used to.

I bought the 8 oz Gumbo which only consisted of clumsy sticky rice and okra. The flavor was mediocre at best and not to have no protein is an understatement. The roux was more of a broth consistency instead of the correct thickness. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was the pound cake, which was really good. Unfortunately, this resturant was a fail. Overpriced and unfavorable. Also, during my order the gentleman was pleasent and laughing when joking around. The lady was very sarcastic and standoffish.
