The store specializes in gorgeous antique furniture, light fixtures and lots of great art by Atkinson Fox. The furniture was in stunning condition. I saw some really beautiful pieces there including a 1930's "waterfall" china cabinet, a bedroom set, and some great couches and chairs. There was also some really unique lighting fixtures including table and floor lamps and chandelier/hanging types. There is a selection of genuine vintage clothing, jewelry and hats as well. The jewelry was in great condition and truly vintage/art deco (1920's+), which can be pretty hard to find at antique stores. There was a wide selection of artwork in original frames by Atkinson Fox, which were straight out of a dream. The owner Allen took time to go over some of the pieces and the art. He is a gem himself! Very knowledgeable and kind. A really great place to get antique furniture that is in great condition and priced to sell! Highly recommend stopping by. I get that feeling every time I walk into Tin Star Furniture. My home is starting to look like a Tin Star display! This store has everything beautifully displayed which helps in visualizing how it would look in your home. They carry a huge selection in store that can be taken home same day in most cases and what they don't carry, they can get. I have fallen in love with their rustic line but they offer much more than that. The customer service is outstanding. They know me by name and help me pick out the perfect pieces for my home. They have always worked with me on price and even offer a layaway plan that I have used. I cant say enough good things about Tin Star! Love them!

Nobody was there, but the sign on the door said that the owner could be there in 15 minutes, and gave her phone number. I called and left a message on her voicemail. She called in a few minutes--she was doing dishes--and then came down to the store. The bulk of what most people see, since the place is only open by appointment, are the outdoor items, which are spread from one end of the property to the other--piles and piles of wheels and rusty things and junk shop type items, like Sanford and Son. Now, I would think that if the only sales you might make are from people who actually call and stick around while you drive to your business, you might be happy with any offer on the hundreds of piles of things lying in heaps literally everywhere. I would also think that you would price the items to sell, as the old wagon wheels and rims and remnants from dead farm equipment were not exactly flying off the muddy ground where they appear have lived for decades. So, when I offered 75% of what seemed to be an arbitrary and inflated price on a few rusty items, I was surprised to have it flatly rejected without even a counter offer. Nope, the owner was too proud of her junky treasures to possibly sell them for a dollar less than her off-the-cuff price. I shrugged and left, wondering if this was the kind of business that actually sold things to people. Super weird.

The other, I understand this is Texas- but please get more modern, looking inventory. Everything in here is that shabby chic, Texas cowboy stuff- the rugs, the wall art, bedroom sets, everything. It was hard to find something to fit my style.
