Star Casualty was the insurance representing the other "at-fault" party of a car accident I was in…read more Initially, I was pretty dissatisfied with the handling of my case due to some incompetency in the process. I was not being able to reach the "Sergio" assigned to my case for MONTHS, no response by email, phone or text- and he was named who my next contact to proceed with to have my accident compensated for. I had purposeful video evidence of the accident, myself, and the other insured driver where they stated their name and admitted to fault, and detailed how the accident occurred from their mistake. This was constantly reiterated in my unanswered messages to Sergio and the company. I followed up again at one point after overall months went by and was told my "case was closed" because I was listed at fault and they would not cover it (what??), and this was still with no response from my assigned adjuster. I immediately escalated everything to a higher up and got in touch with ***** "Corinne Areces" *****, an MDU Manager at Star Casualty Insurance Company. SHE WAS MY SAVING GRACE and immediately everything was handled quickly, professionally, clearly, and she salvaged any mishandling of the prior situation. She was the most lovely person to deal with, she is GOLD to their company! For the rest of the process thereafter, I felt so confident about Star Casualty and her assistance to the completion of my claim. It made me totally reconsider my stance on Star Casualty Insurance (who I had never heard of prior). They are capable of being a fantastic reliable insurer, as long as they have someone like Corinne helping run the show. She maintains the integrity and efficiency of how dealing with insurance is supposed to be...and in a world of underwhelming and sometimes faulty employees she is an absolute gem. I would only wish to deal with someone like her at every company and the world would run amazing lol.
