Prices felt higher than what we usually see at other Suffolk County nurseries, though we didn't buy anything to compare directly. What really stood out was the lack of service. The parking lot was full, but it was hard to find anyone actually working or available to help. If you're after perennials, boxwoods, or larger Japanese maples, Forge River has had a much better selection in our experience.

I almost missed them because Google maps will lead you directly to their fence. But I was easily able to park along side the sidewalk. Their employees were very nice and helpful and their plants all looked very healthy. We bought a poblano pepper plant, rosemary, oregano, chive, cacti & succulent soil, a pot for my aloe plant, and organic fertilizer. Everything was very reasonably priced and they were having a 50% sale on their plants! I wanted to plant some eggplants, but I saw on their Facebook page that they sold out. They also sold out of their cucumber abd zucchini plants. I will defiantly be visiting them next year!

Need plants that just cover the ground for your front yard? They have a slice of land just dedicated to that. A little late on growing your tomatoes? Don't worry, they have them at all varying sizes. They even have a whole barn house that stores a ton of vintage decorative items that you can spend a decent amount of time in. So much stuff, it spills outward into the front. How cool. I wish I took photos of the rest of the land but all the reviewers captured it best. My photos just shows all the cool stuff I liked. For me, I love going to places like this to be inspired and to wander. Get lost in it. No high pressure tactics here, they'll leave you alone to roam around. I end up learning so much about nature that it becomes an overall relaxing experience. They even have an area where you can sit out and enjoy their events. And their greenhouses are beautiful. So well-stocked with every inch being utilized thoughtfully. It's also sooooo nice that you can bring your dog. I will especially go to an establishment if it's dog friendly. And my dog couldn't get enough of it. Sniffing around and laying out in the shade instead of staying home while I'm out. It seems so unfair which is why this place is such a gem to me. In more ways than one. I'm a fan. I have no complaints. It's a different experience each time and I always leave in such a better state of mind.

We pick up our lunches on the way over and find a spot to sit overlooking the expansive farm and its accompanying river. Once we're done eating, we explore the different areas of plants and the quaint general store. Staff is on hand to answer any questions and assist as need be.
