We were in Effingham just trying to find cute shops to browse in, when we turned the corner and saw Wild Rose! Definitely FATE! The shop is actually a boutique with a bridal shop on the top floor with clearance/discounted dresses in the back of the boutique. I definitely went straight for the sale dresses, which I found MANY with minor flaws. My consultant was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I didn't even catch her name, but she had the most gorgeous red hair! She had a last minute cancellation so she was able to fit me in as a walk-in. We quickly found my style, which I had no clue of when I walked in. I felt super comfortable and we were having a blast. I never felt rushed or under pressure. Down to the final three dresses, my consultant encouraged me to retry on everything. I knew immediately which dress was for me and I said YES to the dress! After I decided my gown, I was encouraged to take photos, videos, etc (I was also encouraged to take photos through the whole appt). Since I'm from California, my consultant made sure I wanted the dress shipped, and since it was sale (missing buttons) she let me know they would send me the extra buttons for my tailor. I could not have had a better experience at Wild Rose, the team was truly amazing. So happy I was surrounded by loved ones and positivity in the shop to help me find my dream dress!

We found a beautiful dress that fit right off the rack for $500. The boutique outlet was clean. Nothing fancy but certainly a pleasant experience. The employees were friendly. My one gripe was the $50 mandatory appointment fee. Just seems you should be able to walk in a store and see the inventory without having to pay. They said they carried sizes 6 and up. However when we arrived, there were very few smaller sizes. I'm happy we were able to find a dress but I would have been perturbed to have driven all that way, pay a non-refundable $50 to find that they only had a handful of dresses in my daughters size. They also carry mother of the bride outfits. Again.. Limited sizes and you don't know what they have so it's like a$50 gamble. They do allow you to put that$50 towards accessories.. But being an outlet their accessories were very limited. We didn't need anything they had but I wasn't leaving without "spending" the $50. So we got 1 Mr & Mrs mug with a 2019 date, a shot glass, a couple pair of princess shoes for my granddaughter that'll fit in like 4 years and a memory jar. The veil options didn't match the color of the dress and they had no head pieces. Now I get time is money. But it just seems ridiculous they wouldn't put that $50 towards the dress. All in all we were very thankful for the outlet. We hope to never return though lol. Married till death do them part!

We walked into this store with one simple reason - we wanted to buy swatches. Other members I was with went looking around while we looked at the swatches. In that moment one girl decided to take it upon herself to assist us. She assisted us in the purchase of the swatches and then proceeded to assist around the store, even though we were just browsing the colors in person to see what looked right. We made it clear we weren't making any other purchases and the mood of the sales associate immediately changed from bubbly to passive aggressive and outright rude. I showed her pictures of my dream dress that I already found (it is being bought off line) and she has the nerve to say "Well that's not a David's dress and we don't want you trying on dresses and then going elsewhere and blaming David's for buying a dress you liked here and having a bad experience". Your JOB is to want my business - your job is to try to find me a dress like my dreams in your store so I don't want to go anywhere else, but she made it perfectly clear that she didn't need or want our business whatsoever, even my bridesmaids so we won't be returning to the Terre Haute store again.

When we arrived the consultant (I use the term loosely) didn't tell us her name nor ask my friend her name, just said, "Oh, you want grandMA dresses". A little diplomacy, please. My friend is in her late 70s but doesn't want a stranger calling her grandma. The consultant didn't ask my friend one question about the wedding nor venue nor budget, absolutely nothing. The consultant stood around looking bored and did not offer help getting my friend into her selected gowns. We left the store two hours later without my friend making a purchase. We only saw the first floor of this salon since that is where the mother/grandmother of the bride/groom dresses are. Access to the second and third floor are necessary if you are prom/bridesmaid or bridal gown shopping. I am estimating there were 100-120 options available, an adequate number for trying out several silouhettes. Overall not a great experience. I guess shows like Say Yes to the Dress have customers expecting more.

Right from the start, Karim made everything about my experience amazing. She was cognizant of my budget as well as my wants. She was attentive and intuitive. She provided wonderful feedback to any questions I had and truly made me feel that I was being heard. She thought of things that made me feel very secure in my choices (ie. placed color swatches of my color inspirations next to my dress; looked into whether it would benefit me more to have alterations done vs. ordering based on my timeline as well as cost). Illusions has a beautiful aesthetic, a wonderful selection of styles, sizes, accessories, etc. Every stage of my appointment was thorough as well as efficient. I never felt pressured or obligated. Most importantly, I felt that my budget and wants were equally prioritized.

Unfortunately, one of them was completely awful, and it…read moreultimately caused my sister to seek out bridesmaid dresses at another store despite the fact that she had already committed to buying her wedding dress here. While trying on bridesmaid dresses, my non-bride sister and one of my engaged sister's friends were trying on dresses. Now the friend was a few sizes larger, which is no big deal to us, but apparently it was to the sales girl. She repeatedly made a point of coming out with several dresses and loudly saying things like, "These will work for our bigger bridesmaid and then these others are the small sizes," as she handed the dresses to them to be tried on. Several other customers looked stunned at the way she kept phrasing it. What's especially odd is that other employees were nearby and no one thought to take her aside and suggest that maybe the "bigger bridesmaid" had a name that could be used instead of repeatedly pointing out the fact that her size was slightly out of the single digit range. If you have a less than petite bridesmaid, I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere where you can be treated with a little more respect and dignity. I have no idea if this particular girl is still working there, but if the owners have any sense, they'll realize that her attitude cost them at least one big sale (4 bridesmaid dresses) and possibly many more with people who didn't speak up.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Lucia's. *********************************************************************************** I loved my wedding dress shopping experience at Lucia's. Every single part of my experience was better than I could have imagined. I felt like a customer, instead of the credit card I was at the other places I tried on dresses. They were the only dress shop I went to that didn't require an appointment ("Appointment? Not necessary. Come in whenever.") They also were the only one where I wasn't rushed (I was there for three hours), limited in the number of dresses I could try on (11) or pressured into a sale. Also, they didn't even talk money until I had decided on "the one." (Bonus: I got a discount for taking the store sample, which will be entirely rebeaded by Glonay.) Glonay is amazingly patient, knows her stock (she suggested "the one" after seeing me in a few), is unbelievably polite (continually saying "sorry" as she had to pin me in), and knows her stuff when it comes to altering the lacework and beading of delicate dresses. I just hope the rest of my vendors are as amazing as Glonay and Lucia's.

I do not recommend this bridal store for anyone! I found out a was pregnant a few weeks after ordering my bridesmaid dress, and before the dresses even came in, (the wedding I was buying the dress for was still 4 months away) I informed the owner as soon as I found out and I was told that I could either get it altered (which would be around 100 dollars for everything) or I would have to buy a new dress in a bigger size. I thought this was completely rediculous! I had no idea that I would be pregnant, it was just a terrible experience all around. I ended up using the dress I already ordered and took it to another place for alterations, and I'm hoping it fits, because the wedding is this saturday!! STAY AWAY FROM LUCIA'S!!!
