Old glassware, coins, cooking accessories,, books, magazines, toys, - just about anything from years long ago can be found here. I purchased an antique hand painted, signed, hand bell ringer. The owner was friendly and helpful and found an empty box for me in the back room just the right size for wrapping and putting under the Christmas tree. I like visiting antique stores and I found the prices here to be on par with other places. There's always "that thing" one finds in an antique shop that brings back memories or something you just have to buy and price often matters but isn't the limiting factor. If you're in the area, you should check this place out.

They had them all ready and boxed up for me when I arrived. I should have checked them before leaving the store. My mistake for trusting them. I called to return them on the principal that they were not the condition I was expecting and received a call back from the owner. She stated that "the girls double and triple checked them". I felt like she didn't believe me about the condition of the shoes. She didn't want to see a picture or anything. THe explanation was that sometimes the girls step out the back door to model them. They were $17. You would think making a first time unhappy customer happy again would be worth that to them

A man outside said, 'sorry we are closed'.. Looking bewildered and mentioning the time (again 440p) we told him that we live an hour and a half away and that it was our wedding anniversary, and his response 'ohhhhh no'.. No explanation as to why he closed a full 20+ minutes early (he was already outside and getting into his truck) nor an offer to open up for the final 20 minutes; then he got in his truck and left. Will be reporting this to the Illinois Antique Association, as that's the shop guide we followed for the day. To keep this shop in your pamphlet is an immense disservice to those using it!
