Never experienced pain when I see him. His office is no frills but his work speaks for itself.

I had an extraction done, and since I was put to sleep, I don't remember much during the procedure--but everything went smoothly, and their care and professionalism really showed. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. My dental exam and treatment were both handled with attention and care. I would highly recommend Dr. Lewis and his team--10/10!

When I first arrived, there were two ladies at the front desk. A lady with shoulder length blonde hair and a brunette, I believe her name was Jennifer. The blonde haired lady was kind of aggressive with her tone and not the friendliest, but Jennifer was so kind and helpful. I then consulted with Dr. James McAndrews, he was so professional, kind, and knowledgeable! I've always been terrified of dental settings and he made me feel like everything was going to be okay... and it was. A week later I came back to have my actual surgery and everything was quick and smooth. The assistants that were helping prep me for surgery were friendly and professional as well. I requested to be put to sleep so I don't remember much beyond that point but instructions on my paperwork were clear. I would recommend this place to someone in need of dental services!

They left a piece of "thread" about 4 inches long hanging in his mouth and we had to very carefully cut that out. With 9 teeth and his mouth pretty much chopped up, the only thing they gave him for pain was Tylenol 3 (with codeine)which is pretty much nothing for his kind of pain. He was in pain hell over the weekend and they were supposed to have a prescription for him to pick up Saturday but they didn't.He went back Monday morning and all they did was put a couple of stitches in (with no anesthesia I might add). We called Delta Dental and they said he was entitled to a free follow up exam with his insurance. He went to the new dentist on Lawrenceville Hwy, they treated him right, gave him 3 meds - an antibiotic, pain med and 800mg ibuprofen. They were great. DO NOT go to this dentist on Wesley Chapel Rd. They are butchers.

I recently visited this practice with a relatI've who received care at this practice. The front…read moreoffice staff were very pleasant and the medical support staff were awesome as well. The issue with this visit stemmed from the unprofessionalism from the doctor himself before the procedure began. When the doctor entered the treatment room, he had the chart in hand with the information from the insurance company. The doctor scanned the insurance page claiming that a certain service was not covered and my relative had not paid for said service. That information was incorrect. He did not read the insurance data correctly, which clearly showed the approval from the insurance company along with the amount payable by the insurance and the patient responsibility. My relative reviewed all of this information during check in for the appointment with the front office staff and paid the portion not covered by the insurance in full ( not a payment plan). This behavior is very troubling and gives the impression that the money is more of a concern versus the patients health. Also, that is what the front office staff/ practice manager is for. If there was any disagreement with the insurance nor no payment was received by my relative, my relative would not have been allowed in the treatment room to begin with. I understand that the doctor has a business to run, but this situation could have been handled more professionally and with tact. The procedure went well. I would recommend better pre-op instructions. If I ever need the services offered by this practice, me personally, I would go elsewhere. Also, I would not recommend this practice to anyone I know. I do not tolerate humiliation nor disrespect. You show me who you are the first time, I take the interaction at face value and move accordingly. I don't care how much experience or renowned a doctor is, you humiliate me or my relatives, that is the last time you will see me or my family. On another note, I have seen the clientele that receives services at this practice, so I can see where the warped perception of patients may come into play. Well, listen here doctor, you are not dealing with rif- raff on this end. You are still practicing well beyond your years, so who needs who? Treat your patients better and it may be time for you to hang up the white coat. Good Day.

Visited Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery today to have a tooth extracted…read more My experience this time was just as pleasant as my first experience. Ms. Shaquita, was extremely helpful with directions and making sure we parked in the correct place. I was greeted immediately as I entered the office door. My wait time in the lobby before being called back for my procedure was no more than ten minutes. They offer very spacious waiting area, so you're not sitting on top of other patients while you wait. Steve Harvey, Family Feud marathon is on the TV offering a great distraction if you're nervous. Dr. Sruthi was great and explained the procedure as she went along making me feel comfortable. If you need Oral surgery this is the place to go. It was the amazing experience for me the 2nd time around.

I had a really bad experience here and would highly recommend not coming here. Overall it was…read moreunprofessional, and even disrespectful. It felt like they are focused on money and not on providing the best patient experience. I scheduled an appointment for a tooth extraction. I was pushed into having my consultation and procedure on the same day. On the phone prior to the appointment, I was informed I would be paying the full price out of pocket, and that the procedure would cost in the range of $600-800. This was very palatable to me. Once I got to my appointment, I met Dr. Cole for my consultation. He did not discuss the details of the tooth extraction, but only discussed two different options for an implant. I had no prior knowledge of how the extraction or the tooth implant process works, and had no idea we would be doing the implant today. He sent me back to the waiting room while they put together an estimate. When the staff pulled me back, they presented me with an estimate for over $6,000. I was understandably very shocked and didn't know what to do. The staff member did not walk me through the line items, and I had to ask questions to understand it while being in shock and trying not to cry. I felt I had no time to make an adequate decision, and that the doctor/office was pressuring me into an extremely expensive surgery. I think this could have been easily prevented by providing me an estimate of the implant prior to the appointment. Or not pushing me to have a same day consultation and surgery. I decided to go ahead with just the tooth extraction because I had an infection that I did not want to wait any longer to treat. I was taken back to the procedure room and put on laughing gas. The doctor came in and noticed I had been crying and asked why. I explained the pricing was shocking to me and the lack of communication around it had made me very flustered. He offered no reassurance or compassion. He literally said nothing. He numbed my gums and left while that set in. At this point I was alone in the room and I continued to get more panicky and stressed, as I now did not trust the doctor and I also did not know what was going on. The doctor had still not explained any details about what the extraction would be like or what the recovery would be like. I was also stressed that I wasn't getting the effect of the laughing gas becuase my nose was stuffy from crying. One of the staff came in and told me to try to calm down and offered to turn up the laughing gas. When the doctor came back in, he asked if I was numb and I said yes and then he started working on my mouth. He did not explain what he was doing and I was terrified I was going to feel more pain because of the laughing gas not getting to me. The doctor could tell I was uncomfortable, I still had tears in my eyes and was wriggling around in the chair, so he told me I shouldn't feel any pain, just movement and to raise my left hand if I felt any sharp pain. But he still didn't explain what he was doing and it all happened very quick. It felt very crass to come in there and rip my tooth out in 30 seconds without trying to calm me down. It was traumatic. Then he left abruptly without any further information. I got very little verbal after-care instructions from the staff in the room, and I felt left alone to figure out what to do despite being given four different prescriptions (including a narcotic) and two different rinse procedures. I'm also left confused if it's normal that there were no stitches done, if I'm suppose to have any kind of follow up appointment, and also what the next stage of the process looks like for me now. One thing is for sure, I won't be getting the implant done by Dr. Cole. They also charge $10 for wifi in the waiting room which gives you an idea of their priorities.
