Pinoys have a knack for imitating things, which is good and bad. It's bad if we're violating intellectual property rights, and stealing credit for somebody's originality. It's good if we take a great concept or product, and make it our own and more affordable to the public.
Take for example, Vast shoes. They sell trendy men's shoes in Tiendesitas. You know those Lunarlon kicks that Cole Haans are known for? Well, they have that there, for a quarter of the cost of a Cole Haan pair. What's good about Vast shoes is that they look just as good and feel just as comfy as the more expensive brand (the men in my family can attest to that. They own both brands with almost identical designs) but they don't claim to be Cole Haan. They want to be known for their own brand.
Aside from the Lunar Grand collection, they also have an impressive selection of stylish and trendy shoes for men such as boots, moccasins, etcetera.
The only downside is that their stores are so far from where we live. I hope they open up a branch here in the south soon. read more
