It's right across his office and a few blocks away from mine so we end up going to this shop once in a while. What I noticed about Sneak Peek is that they carry a pretty wide variety of shoe brands. They have the usual suspects like Nike, Adidas, New Balance and Supra but they also carry edgier brands like Tretorn, G-Star Raw, Mr. Lacy and Brixton. Sports Central is nothing special in terms of what it offers. It offers basically the same brands compared to other sporting goods stores that have multiple brands. I just love how Nike showcases all their shoes on the wall. It makes it so easy to have a look at the shoes you like and this makes for a great shopping experience. The staff lets you browse around without bothering you, but are there to help you if you want to try on some shoes. Just a great experience, so go and visit, just do it!

I have larger than normal feet so I usually have to go to several shoe stores scattered in different malls looking for one that will fit me. Never mind the style, I'll take it as long as my toes are not suffocated by really tight shoes. Most of the time, they have the size I am looking for but it still won't fit because my feet are too wide. Thankfully, Payless came to the rescue. The have a wide variety of shoes and they have wide ones and even half size ones. They saved me a lot of time whenever I need a new pair. The designs are also trendy. And they always have items on sale. Before Payless, I had to turn to European brands since they are the ones most likely to have the size that will fit me. And their prices are really really high for me. Payless really made my wallet smile because I can get a good looking pair that fits perfectly for only a fraction of the price I used to pay for.

They have been consistently bringing exclusive pairs here in Manila that's why in the sneaker community, Sole Academy has been one of the best and most reliable stores. It's only right they use the tagline "Best in Class" to stamp their mark in the sneaker market. When I say consistently bringing in the exclusive pairs, I mean weekly releases of shoes that most sneakerheads dream of. Currently they have 3 stores: Katipunan, Alabang and the recently opened High Street branch at the Fort in Taguig City. Sole Academy is also known for hyping up shoe releases with parties, which is probably the reason why they get all kinds of good words from their consumers. Hey, nothing like word of mouth as legit marketing strat, right? The price range of their products are between 3,000 pesos to 10,000 pesos, depending on the brand and model of the release. They also offer an online store so for those who are quite far from their branches, you can order online and have your dream pair delivered to your door step. It's known for its diverse range of stores and products like clothing, cellular phone sales, repairs and accessories, jewelry store, toys, pearls, souvenir items, restaurants, bars, video arcades, religious facilities and the ever popular tiangge that sells imported and local products for bargain hunters. A lot has changed but it is still one of the most beloved malls in the country.

Restaurant row was more inviting with more sit down choices and better design. Security upon entrance was still the same. Large bags were inspected upon entry. The tiangge section (Shoppsville side) was untouched with rows and rows of stalls selling pearls, clothing, suitcases, shoes and more. Everything here can be haggled over. I was on the search for some local food items but the stall I sought out was closed for some reason. The chapel in the mall was still something unique to see but quite convenient to attend mass. The indoor garden across the way was updated and more inviting than I remember with more seating. Parking here has always been and will likely still be a challenge. Security guards still direct traffic but drop off areas by the mall entrances do get backed up frequently. Definitely enjoyed the shopping experience more than before.
