May I just talk about Aldo?
Though I'm always too stingy to buy their stuff at full price, I do love Aldo's shoes. They can be a little uppity, but they're always on the classy, classic side and you know you'll be keeping them for life. Their accessories are pretty dope too. The best thing about them, like all other stores I love, is that they always have a row of discounted shoes, regardless of the season. You'll have to wait a while before something becomes really worth the purchase, since the price doesn't drop so dramatically when it hits the sale rack, but sometimes you'll luck into a really good bargain.
What's so great about this branch in Robinsons Ermita is that I really feel like not a lot of people frequent it, which is how I feel about most of their stores. I might be a little prejudiced here, since I come from far off in QC, but if I'm looking for something in Aldo (or Topman, or Topshop, or H&M, or any other chain, really) and I can't find it in the places nearer me, I will walk into Rob Manila confident that I will find it there. And I'm usually right! What's better is that Aldo Accessories is right beside it, if you really like to shop their stuff.
I also have this theory that it's good to try their shoes on here since they're a bit on the incline of the floor, though their store itself is level. I know, it's a somewhat stupid theory.
Anyway, if you're looking for a certain shoe in your size, or a ring that's all but vanished from the other Aldos, try looking for them here! But let's just keep a secret between you and me, all right? ;) read more
