When did it become acceptable to carry on what should be private conversations while customers are waiting and forced to listen (no boundaries anymore for manners) to such silly conversations. Employees use to wait to have private conversations. I don't want to listen to people on their cell phones much less than "school girl" employee conversations.

We waited over 1 hour for our scheduled appointment. The front desk staff (see photos) are incompetent and lack any level of service or professionalism. Example 1: girl in glasses refused to help me with check-in, kept directing me to the iPad to complete the check-in myself; when I asked if she can help she said "we encourage everyone to use the iPad". There were no other patients there asking for help and she was free, but did not want to help. Example 2: girl with dark curly hair had no communicate skills; they were running behind with appointments, after waiting 30 mins past my appointment, I asked how much longer and she tells me at least an hour. The scan only took about 5 minutes and was not as serious as some of the scans they perform there. It looked like others were getting full MRI scans, etc. My results were very positive, as was my experience at their facility. Eight days ago I had a CT scan at the Dove Valley office. The gentleman who did the scan told me…read morethat my report would be sent to my doctor by the end of the week, which would have been two days after it was performed. It has been eight days since I had my CT scan and I still have not received the report! This waiting is very stressful! Early in the day yesterday I called and left a message with the medical records department explaining that after a week I still had not received my report, and I still have not heard back from them. I ended up driving to the imaging center that did the CT scan inquiring about my report and she said that my CT scan had not yet been read. There is no one that I can talk to about the reason for the delay, since there are no numbers that connect you with a person. Even leaving a message is discouraged. On top of things, my old login for their website would not work, so I requested a link to reset my password multiple times but I never received a link. I understand they have a new system now where you are invited to join the portal, but I did not receive the paperwork for that when I had my scan so I had no way of accessing their portal. This has been a very bad experience, one that no one waiting for a test like this should have to undergo.

If you want someone to show up 30 min early, then make the appointment 30 min earlier. Fix your scheduling department. However, I had filled out all the paperwork online, like a good little patient, then there's no reason to show up 30 minutes early. I don't need 30 minutes to put on a gown. Next Carla the technician should be fired immediately! She stated that since I did not show up 30 minutes early that she didn't have the time to do all four MRI's. I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment. Then they kept me in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Then another 10 minutes to change and wait in the changing area to be told I was late and they didn't have the time to do all my scheduled MRI's. It sounds like Carla has a time management problem, not me. Why didn't you get me back there as soon as I walked in and not keep me waiting for 30 minutes. Carla has to be one of the rudest and egotistical technicians I've ever met. I was on time, you don't know how to manage your time. So now, if I expect to get the MRI on my left shoulder, which she refused to do, I will have to pay another copay of $100 just for that and make another appointment somewhere because I will never go anywhere where she is working. SMIL and Honor Health needs to do better. Remember that your main concern are your patients and not your employees attitudes.

The staff were friendly, professional, and took the time to explain the process, which helped ease my anxiety about the exams. Like many imaging centers, they collect payment upfront, but they provided a clear cost estimate. After my insurance claim was processed, the amount I owed matched the estimate exactly, which I really appreciated. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would recommend SMIL to others.
