Not just because it's bright and shiny, but because it's very thoughtful in design and space use. From the outside, the new glass, metal and stone architecture flows nicely into the original Brutalist structure. On the inside, students will find study areas to meet all their needs, including a really cool Reading Porch with windows that open. The spaces have unique colour palettes for each floor, with furnishings specific to the way the student might study in that area - group furniture for the collaborative spaces, and lots of comfy individual seats for the quiet and silent spaces. Make sure to visit the Lower Level to see The Workshop, the new media rich space where one can create things with all sorts of advanced technologies OR go old school in the Makerspace and create things by hand. I found a comfortable table in a "talking" area where I could take a Zoom meeting or two without disturbing other patrons. The outdoor voting person wanted me to walk around to the far entrance to use the bathroom. She was quite rude about it. I could not go "into the voting door". The bathroom is right next to the voting entrance. Which is right next next to the bathrooms making me walk also right next to that lady and the voting door entrance. Rude Voting Lady and horrible way to run the library / county voting. FYI. I live in this county and pay their wages through my taxes. I wish I could VOTE on that.
