She gave me so much information, that I am positive about my future appointments. I was put at ease, comfortable (the "stirups" are cushioned), my exam was painless and quick. I like the tablet for filling out your paperwork and processing payment. I spent about 10 minutes in the waiting room, once in the room I was seen quickly and I could hear staff with other patients as I waited. The staff is very friendly and appear happy as a team, so the smiles were contagious. I only did 4 stars, since this was only my first visit, but plan to continue more visits here.

On top of the horribly disfigured stomach and scar I was left with, the fact that I had to be numbed 1 or 2 more times after my spinal, I could smell my skin burning, I was able to move my legs and even lift myself up off the bed immediately after my stomach was stapled back together, and the comment that my incision could have been done differently with less scared tissue. My stomach ripping back open due to popped stitching a week after leaving the hospital. I have voiced my dissatisfaction multiple times. I had referred my sister-in-law here and she would y'all me Dr.Johnson would ask her if I was still complaining about my stomach. I have cried over the disfiguration and have become self conscious about my stomach to the point I don't even want my husband looking at me. Hopefully this doctor has gained more experience and has become in tune with her patients needs. Although I had a different last name then (I have gotten married since this horrific experience) I'm pretty sure Dr.Johnson will remember exactly who I am. Would not recommend! This was an experience out of combination of Lord of the Flies, One Flew Over…read morethe Cuckoo's Nest, and Girl Interrupted. Every horrible Hollywood interpretation of a psychiatric hospital was perfectly played out in this sideshow of horrors! The staff was rude, condescending, and lacked compassion. I literally had a nurse mock me for crying twice! I was admitted because I was in the midst of a mental health crisis! Of course I was crying!!! Anyhow, I ended up getting the patient advocate involved because of my disappointment with the lack of programming, the unprofessionalism of the staff, and their failure to provide basic needs. I had to ask for clothes, a journal, toilet paper, etc... Patients' with physical ailments were suffering and patients with no history or symptoms of mental illness were there due to homelessness, dementia, or avoiding criminal issues. One afternoon, I had to come to the aid of a patient who was profusely vomiting due to medication withdrawal (it took her two days to see a psychiatrist who finally approved her prescription). Anyhow, I stood with her, fanning her, placing cold towels on her neck while we waited 5 minutes for a nurse to finally saunter annoyingly to where we were. This place should be investigated, fined, and closed or sold. After this experience I promised myself, should I ever become suicidal or require psychiatric hospitalization again; I will choose to stay home and hope for the best. This experience was traumatizing and caused more harm than good.

I initially contacted the hospital and spoke to a very nice and professional receptionist, who politely transferred me to their intake department. From there, everything went downhill. I first spoke to intake worker, Barb?, to inquire about the potential placement for the patient. I was placed on hold multiple times and was even hung up on. I was able to call back and speak to Barb again, who transferred me to a worker name Even?. Even hastily picked up the call and stated, " This is Even", as if I were disturbing his day. This young man did not provide an introduction as to who he was or which department I was speaking to. I felt as if I were being a nuisance although I was only attempting to coordinate transfer to their facility. I inquired about placement for my patient and asked if they received the clinicals that were faxed to them. Even quickly cut me off and stated " I gotta transfer you to the Care Center" and transferred the call. I was able to speak with Myra in the Care Center. I assumed that since I was transferred to the "Care Center" that they would be a little bit more professional and handle matters with "Care". Boy, was I wrong again. Myra was just as rude as her colleagues. I couldn't hear what she was saying due to the ongoing, loud conversations in the background. When I finally asked about the clinicals, Myra flatly stated that they will be reviewed and someone will be calling me back later that day. Just this brief experience alone made me second guess referring anyone to this facility in the near future. I work and communicate with MANY inpatient hospitals on a daily basis and I must say that this was the WORST encounter I've EVER experience. If this is professionalism, I would hate to see what being unprofessional is all about.

Exemplary Patient Care and Attentive Clinician--A Rare Find…read more From the moment I arrived for my annual check-up, I was genuinely impressed by the level of care and professionalism exhibited by the staff and, most notably, by Dr. Antonio. This visit marked my first time at this practice since moving from McKinney to Desoto, and I can say with confidence that I have rarely experienced a physician who combines medical expertise with such a warm, patient-centered approach. First, the administrative and nursing staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. Despite a busy schedule, they treated me with respect and patience, taking the time to ensure I understood the process and what to expect during the visit. Their diligence set a positive tone for the appointment and underscored the importance this practice places on patient comfort and clear communication. The clinical care was outstanding. Dr. Antonio conducted a thorough assessment that exceeded my expectations for an annual check-up. He listened attentively to every concern, made careful note of my medical history, and explained each step of the examination and testing in clear, accessible terms. He personally coordinated a comprehensive suite of evaluations, including an EKG and multiple lab tests, and he outlined what each result could imply for my ongoing health. What stood out most was Dr. Antonio's bedside manner. In an era when many patients have reported feeling rushed or dismissed, he embodied professionalism without losing humanity. He treated me with respect, never making me feel as though my questions were unnecessary or excessive. He asked thoughtful questions about my menopausal transition, aging, and other concerns, and he provided reassurance and practical guidance tailored to my situation. Dr. Antonio also demonstrated exemplary collaborative care. He discussed potential referrals and next steps, and he explained the reasons behind each recommendation. He ensured I left with a clear plan, including documentation for symptom tracking and a follow-up appointment in five days. The level of support and communication he offered was extraordinary--and it was done in a way that never made me feel overwhelmed or anxious. One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was his genuine regard for my wellbeing. He did not appear jaded or dismissive, and he did not shy away from addressing complex or sensitive topics. Instead, he invited further questions and ensured I felt heard and valued throughout the visit. I am grateful to have found Dr. Antonio. If you are seeking a physician who blends clinical excellence with compassionate care, who listens without judgment, and who takes proactive steps to coordinate comprehensive testing and referrals, this practice is an outstanding choice. The entire team--from reception to the exam room--demonstrates a level of professionalism and warmth that is becoming increasingly rare. If I can offer any constructive note, it would simply be to share how impactful this experience has been for me. Dr. Antonio has redefined what I expect from primary care, and I am more than willing to recommend him to family, friends, and colleagues who are seeking thoughtful, patient-centered medical care. He truly feels like a care provider sent to us, and I am deeply hopeful that his practice remains available to those who need it. July 2025 update: As of this visit, I've planned follow-ups and referrals with clarity and confidence, thanks to Dr. Antonio's thorough approach. I am sincerely grateful for the level of attention and care I received!
