So disappointed in Vargas. I have been a long term customer and have spent a lot of $ with them. Bought some earrings in 14 kt. gold and the gold was so thin they bent and the stone fell out. They tried to tell me I stepped on the setting which is not what happened! The earring was in a jewelry pouch in my purse. I took the damaged setting in and asked them to fix it. They said can't be done and only thing they offered was for me to buy another set at over $100. What a complete waste of money for me and perhaps the worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. Beware.. this family walks around wearing very expensive jewelry and who do u think pays for it.. we do! They sell low grade merchandise, much of it silver, and way overcharge. Save ur money and go to a reputable jeweler. One set of earrings were supposed to be 14 kt gold and they made my ears swell, turn red, and itch. They were clearly not 14 kt gold! My wife and I come to have the battery of our watches replaced. I know how easy it is to replaced them but some watches are stubborn and won't open. Here they have tools to open the hard to open back of watches. They don't charge you much, it comes with a battery for a cheap price. Battery lasts at least 3 years, which is not bad at all. They also carry second hand jewelries, I don't how good the prices are. Plenty of parking around the store, safe area too. Come and give their service(s) a try. read more

I ordered a wedding ring set but when it arrived there was a cloud right in the middle of the diamond, it was really more like a hurricane from how huge the cloud was. I went to Vargas Jewelers the next day and in a couple days they replaced the diamond with a diamond that I was more than proud enough to present to my fiancée. I now know that I won't be embarrassed showing the ring off to the whole family. read more

I always go to Vargas Jewelers when I'm looking for something special and for cleanings. They are always kind, polite, and extremely helpful. They have something for every budget. I also found my wedding bands here. I did not want one of the current fads for my special set, I wanted it to fit my personality. The gentleman who helpped us got me to try on a set from listening to me (big plus). I would not have tried that style on my own, and he was spot on because I instantly fell in love with how they looked and made me feel and I didn't even want to take them off. Nothing but good things to say about Vargas Jewelers. I went in for a time piece gift. They have a great selection of EVERYTHING, not just watches. However, the only brand they carry is Citizen (this is a great brand anyways). The prices are not outrageous, and comparable to buying directly from the company (no complaints here!). I made two trips before deciding on a watch. The first trip the sales associated really talked me through each watch so I understood what I'd be paying for. Second trip same thing, different person. Talk about a nice family business! While waiting for a box I looked over some of the jewelry, and there is something for everyone here. I really loved the topaz/aquamarine rings and pieces with other colored gemstones, they were so beautiful. read more

Took in a wedding set with VSII diamonds with a scratch on the band...I was told that they would remove the scratch and clean it for free by the guy in the red shirt with glasses...I was given a similar set that looked like the one I took in...I did not think much about it at the time but my wife noticed it was tighter on her finger...I was taken by the old bait and switch...I noticed when I discovered it was not marked VSII...When I called Vargas and informed them of what had occurred they informed me that maybe someone in our house who had access to the ring switched it on me...Go figure... At the time I was happy because the scratch was gone and the diamonds were clean and shiny...I was duped... The ring I had resized at Vargas Jewelers looked abnormal to me. The jeweler I am having re-tip this same ring explained that instead of cutting and adding a piece to enlarge the ring 2 sizes the proper way, Vargas Jewelers stretched the band causing it to be very extremely dthin in the back. What irritates me even more is they charged me twice as much as my present jeweler charges! read more

Very unhappy. Took my 800$ limited edition watch in for battery replacement and was returned with deep scratches all over the back. Let them know and just got a "I'm sorry" and still charged me the 12.00 for battery. read more

Very, very, very, VERY rude and NASTY woman; assume the owner? I sold a ring to them and the woman gave me dirty looks through the entire transaction. I believe it was because she was offering much less for the ring than it was worth. The previous week she had told me that they would pay $800 (much less than another jeweler told me it would retail at $3300). Then the next week she denied saying that and said she would never offer more than $700. I was in a financial hardship and desperately needed the money, so I reluctantly sold the ring to them. I believe that her nasty looks and mean demeanor were due to the fact that she was trying to make me believe that the beautiful diamond ring was not worth anything; this is her method. I regret selling my ring, but I needed the money due to my financial hardship. I had later spoken to another jeweler who said that Vargas Jewelers has a reputation for offering significantly much, much less than the item is worth. If only I had talked to that jeweler before going to Vargas. I will never, ever, EVER buy from them again and I of course will never, ever sell to them again. Vargas Jewelers - VERY BAD PEOPLE!!! I wish I could return what I bought from them. Just an awful, awful experience. It was bad enough that I had to sell the ring, but to be treated this way was just awful. BEWARE. read more
