Just came from getting food from the vaqueras food truck and it was so disappointing. The Cali Burrito used to be soo delicious and today it had 0 flavor ... this isn't the first time we've been disappointed either you can tell the quality has gone downhill. They completely changed the salsa they use also and it's not good. On top of that I ordered my Cali Burrito without sour cream and they did add sour cream to it , for the price I expected a lot more... it a waste of money. I asked my boyfriend if he liked it since he does like sour cream and he also agreed that it had no flavor and was also disappointed. So went here last night with my girl, my choice, she didnt tell me till later that her last meal here was disapointing. Aparently the asada tacos were way too salty to eat. We ordered take out last night and waited at least 30 minutes to receive a burrito and 3 shrimp tacos. I tried the torta Vaquera and it was one or the worst tortas I've ever had. I specifically had asked for no mayo. When I opened in my house, the torta was soaked in melted mayo. Bread was burnt and soggy. The meat was very salty. Over all it was one of the worst tortas I've ever had and I will never go back again. read more

The carne asada, pastor etc, is never dry, it is always juicy and delicious. The best seller is the Cali burrito which is breathtaking and one of my favorite foods of all time. It has fries, carne asada, yummy guacamole, sourcream, and salsa but it's not spicy. It's HUGE, it may be a bit pricey but it's totally worth it! The tacos are extremely good if you prefer a taco over a burrito. I am the basic one who always goes for the asada, but my madre goes for the pastor, which both are always outstanding. Once you see your food coming, your mouth just becomes watery, and you just want it so bad. If you want an outstanding taste of Mexican food, go here! Okay so based on yelp reviews I had to try this place. I went on a Friday night and ordered shrimp tacos and a torta. The tacos were good the torta was average but the reason for the 3 stars was cause my order took 40 minutes and I'm not exaggerating or stretching the truth here by any means. This is the longest time I've ever waited for food, fast food at that. Unless you're willing to waste a good 30 to 40 minutes just standing around to Wait then I would just skip this place. I've had better tacos in this town and much less wait times. One other thing, you can't order all the items on one day like I wanted to do because certain items are available on certain days. We have heard great things about this food since it was served out of the truck, so decided to give the restaurant a try yesterday. There aren't a lot of menu options, but the flavor of everything that we ordered was amazing! We came in with a large group, and ordered several different menu items. All the meats are lean, flavorful, and you get plenty with every entree. The pastor is the best I have ever had, and the crunchy carnitas taco was a favorite of one of the people in our party. The salsa that is served with the nachos has such good flavor I will eat that on anything I order in the future. There are a lot of Mexican food options in Santa Maria, but there aren't many that are this good. Half of our group was here visiting from down south, Inland Empire area, and they were very impressed. To top it off the staff was friendly, and checked on us often. You can tell that they care to make their guests happy and that will keep us coming back for sure. If you haven't given them a try you should, you won't regret it! read more
