Very rude and condescending for no reason. Just wanted to spend some money. Five year customer, will never be back.

We have shopped at Vapor Maven in Joplin for many years. As with most people who vape its nothing to spend a hundred each time we walk in. We have bought mods disposable and juices and many devices over those years. But recently we went in and just bought 3 disposables. 2 for 16 dollars each and 1 for 10 dollars. Common math tells me that the total should be approximately 42 dollars not including taxes. We chose to use some points because we found out that they expire last time we were in the establishment. So the lady at the counter said ok we have applied your points and the total is 28 dollars. We put our card in and started the payment. Then i realized wait how many points applied? She said it could only use 30. So at this point 30 plus the 28 in my head says im paying 58 dollars. So I am paying 58 dollars for 42 dollars worth of merchandise. The lady at the establishment had smoked a few too many bowls to understand where I was perplexed. So I traveled straight to the other store about a mile down the street. I went in with the merchandise and the reciept and told that lady to check the totals for me. Unbelievably the items even though the shelf price was the same they totalled an even greater amount on the register. It was just over 60 dollars. She said she could not assist with the error but definitely agreed the math does not math. So we reached out to corporate. They have tried to discredit math and say that we are wrong in our calculations. But I have the reciept to prove that they say 15.98 and 15.98 and 9.98 totals 55 dollars and some change so maybe they are using a different kind of math then I was taught but I definitely wont be shopping in a place that steals money from customers any more. read more

Vapor Maven - Tell me if this math is mathing? I would encourage everyone to look at their reciepts from this establishment. - Vape Shops Near Me - Independence, Missouri

This location always has what we need. They even helped fix one of our sticks. I feel bad that they are open twenty-four hours a day.

The owner was rude as hell, felt like I was bothering him instead of being treated like a customer. Been going there for over 4 years. The owner used to be in a wheelchair. Now since he has had a double hip surgery, is on meth or has turned into just a plain asshole. I will never go in that place again. There are a couple of real nice people that used to work there. Now I understand why they are gone, save your time and being insulted by a person that will be going out of business soon. As you can see they don't even have 3 stars. That is for a reason, insulted my 4 year degree. Called me, "One of those". I will usually not allow someone to ruin my day. This person that has told me in the past he owed the store. When I helped when he was in his wheelchair, at cost of getting in trouble at my job. Told me he would help me out, after recalling the incident. He told me, "can't do that, got demoted". I could keep going on how rude he was. White trash is the best example. NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN...negative 5 stars... read more

I had the rudest customer service experience from this store today. I've shopped here for close to five years now at least twice a month And always had very friendly customer service associates. I took my business elsewhere. No big deal I'm sure, just like the rude answer, I got on the way out the door of "oh well" but businesses that have rude customer service associates like that don't generally last for very long before business starts to decline. This makes my second review of the same incident and I'm sure as I'm looking through the other reviews. Other customers have had the same problem. read more

Sold me a product that was expired in 2021. Then, told me there was nothing they could do about it. They are overpriced, rude, and have the worst product in Independence. read more

I give 1 star (being generous) it's hard to take any business seriously when they have no available list of the product they sell I mean you can't sample they have no menu of the flavors. How you supposed to know what you can buy. I ask the employees and I got the answer "were too inconsistent for a list and it would be hard to keep up" I thought that was the flicking job. In other words were lazy millennial people and we have no sense. How hard is it to print your flavors and use what's called a copper and make more of them. I guess they're either too stupid or too lazy or a combination of both. Believe me if they had a zero star that's what I'd leave because this place is a big fat fail. read more

Super rude woman, asked her if she had something rudely said no and dismissed me. Did not look try to find to find me something similar was 0 help. Typically people that work in smoke shops are incredibly nice this woman was not kind at all. I've had similar experiences here wouldn't go here again. read more

Fast reception and knowledgeable. Went in they had what I wanted as they seem to have everything... nice and clean organized. I got a ESCO BARS Pink lemonade. Great product. Thx read more

I spend a lot of money at this place. Get a receipt every time. If something doesn't work you will need one and they will it help you if you don't have a receipt. It does not matter if you are a loyal customer. They don't care and will screw you over. They sell crap product that do not work. And they are overpriced at that. Do not go here. The hub or happy rocks smoke shop are way better at doing business and they actually treat their client like people. Vapor maven is the worst shop in Kansas City. Do not go here. read more

I bought the $50.00 mystery bag,The 4 disposibles 2500 puffs lasted 2 days each and went dead maybe 200 puffs. A bottle of canobis oil with no idea whats in it or who made it. a bottle of vape oil that says sample NOT FOR SALE. 2 bottles of vape oil dated Feb. 2022 out dated. 2 gummies. 2 .99cts hemp wrap. in total no where close to $300.00 value maybe $100.00. Most of this went in the trash. I do not recommend buying mystery bag. read more

This. Place. Is. Amazing!!! So I originally went to another shop but they didn't have the coil I needed so they recommend i come to this place right down the road. I walked in and holy moly!! They place is HUGE. there is a pool table (adults only) and a little sitting area with a TV & couches. They have an endless supply of all different types if vapes, coils, pens, juices, salt nic, CBD, edibles, etc. SO MANY THINGS. They also have a customer program to earn points which is nice and the customer service was amazing ! I highly recommend this place to anyone in independence! read more

Went in there today to buy a coil for my vape. There was a lady in there who had purchased Ejuice thier house brand from them and it had clogged up the tank she just wanted to exchanged for a different bottle. You can hold the bottle of thier house brand juice up to the light and see that it was not right. It was cloudy ,oily , gummy looking. The guy behind the counter would not exchange her bottle of eJuice for her. She didn't even want her money back she just wanted a good bottle. They wouldn't refund her or exchange it. I agreed with the lady and I left without purchasing a new coil for my vape. I will never go in that store again. That is bad customer service. Never shop at a store where the Employees Treat you bad. read more

Would give this location a 0 star if it was available, I dont understand this location, they almost act like a monopoly for vape products, theres barely any vape shops around here so they get to charge premium prices for mediocre products. Staff are very rude. Everytime i call up there to see if they have something in stock because everytime i go in there they dont have what i need, its like im an enemy, and im pretty sure its the manager answering the phone, you can tell they dont care about their jobs. If i had to recommend something id tell you to go to Aquarius or just get it online. Its save you money and hassle. This company/this location will die if they keep their ways up. read more

I bought two vape batteries of the same type, one was defective and didn't work. I went in and showed them the issue, comparing the two, they tried to act like nothing was wrong at first. Finally when admitting the device was faulty they would not exchange it for a working one. They said they can't exchange these devices if defective, so I am out the 40 bucks for it and they will not back me up and fix the issue. I don't want to go here again for fear another defective device, knowing they don't offer exchange or refunds even if it was a defective device upon sale. read more

Big John and Jessica, at the Raytown location, are amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They were able to help me out and explain products, where other stores where not able to. I highly recommend. read more

I have been driving past other shops to get my E juice and Kratom here for about two years. I received an email from them about a one day only 420 sale that offered 25% off all Glass, CBD, and Kratom. So I make the trip to buy my Kratom, just to be told by the sales person that the email was a mistake, and Kratom wasn't part of the deal. They refused to honor the offer they sent me. I was spending several hundred dollars a year there. Not anymore. read more
