This place is actually really cute but It's so inconsistent! Prices change on the register as well as products. They tried to charge $40 for a nicotine vape elfbar!!! They are $25 max at every other place in the valley. They over charge for everything and the last time I had someone pick up a disposable vape for me it lasted 2 days tops! I didnt know what specific piece I needed- i am still new to the vape scene- but the employee was so helpful and was able to get me the correct item I needed despite my lack of knowledge of my own device. I realized this the other day after not wanting to walk to a competitor (was closer): The Vapor Depot is NOT for the casual/hardcore vaper. It's clearly shown in their logo that they are an introduction to quit smoking. Unfortunately they've resorted to using some of the same tactics as the tobacco industry to lock in customers. The good: The juices are actually good. They vape smoothly and are quite tasty. Competitors in the area tend to gum up the coil (although this may be a low humidity issue and they might use real sugar) and 50/50 PG/VG isn't readily available in the area anyways (the status quo). The buy one/get one and rewards for frequent customers are great and credit/debit cards with chips are taken. It's great as a cheap alternative and getting started if a smoker. The bad: Much of their their labeling is ambiguous and incredibly high in nicotine. Nicotine is measured by weight, not percentage. What these numbers are per volume as a whole is not readily obtainable. 18mg (the most common) will knock you on your ass if you're not used to it but would be perfect for the average smoker (was for me in 2012). PG/VG ratio is not listed but is likely 70/30 but may not be guaranteed as it's listed as "PG or VG". I'm unsure if the butter flavors contain high levels of diacetyl or not. This can be sourced naturally but still be unsafe to inhale in the long term. Don't let an employee dismiss things as "natural" when they're going into your lungs (a competitor did this to me). Cinnamon is also a natural flavor unsafe to vape for extended periods. They hire employees willing to maintain a facade (to the point of seeming internal frustration) and may be unwilling to talk to unrecognized customers. They may be more receptive if you mention smoking and have enthusiasm to quit. Higher nicotine count is actively encouraged and they are "out of stock" (likely on purpose) of lower doses. Some flavors don't even have lower doses and many of the listings have them lazily crossed out with a marker. 0% is overstocked in basic flavors and seem to be provided mostly as additives. No expire date is provided so who know how long any of the bottles have been sitting there? The store used to provide this. Because of all this, juices may be unknowingly unsafe and/or decaying in strength/flavor and it's very easy to return to smoking so the cycle can continue (returning customer). The ugly: It would actually be a good place to quit but they'd be losing customers if they did the way they operate. They likely already are with the overall reduction in smoking as a whole and are locked in to reactionary measures. Some of these systems weren't in place when I went there in 2012 and the employees were nicer and could suggest more options. Rebranding, being friendlier to vaping enthusiasts, and dropping the proverbial smoke screen would probably help them. Stores in the area tend to use some the same measures. It's unfortunate that these places operate this way but not much can be done about it from a business standpoint. They have to compete with online sellers by cutting cost and providing convenience. Out of control rent and medical grade testing costs probably aren't helping either. read more

Had this your a dumbass look on his face the entire time. Kalispell needs a real vape shop, a place that sells good craft ejuice, and friendlier staff.
