Vapiano in Eindhoven centrum is located conveniently in the Heuval Gallery mall. I am giving this place a solid 3 stars because their food is made to order. It is always a chaotic scene here because no one has any idea what they are doing. The lines for the pasta counters are so long it simply takes forever to get your food. The food although fresh, is generic tasting. The iced tea varieties are great though. Desserts are decent as well. Not a bad option if you want to hang out with a group of friends and want basic tasting Italian food. read more

What a find in the heart of Eindhoven centrum! Staff always super friendly and patiently explained the efficient payment system (they give you a plastic card that is used as your running tab and use that to pay the smiling lady at the end of your meal). Had the BBQ Chx pizza and it was spicy, cooked to perfection, delicious and pretty darn big! A kick arse value for 8.50 euro. read more

Flawed concept: you have to queue twice for your food. First to order then to collect. No waiters. Call me old fashioned but I like being served. Even though quite empty on 31 December our two pizzas took a long time to arrive, and arrived five minutes apart. Our table was dirty. We didn't see anyone cleaning tables. A number of tables had trays with food of previous diners still on them. Those were cleared by staff. All of this would be forgiven had the food been good. Unfortunately this was not the case. The pizzas were below average, not authentic, made of commercial flour. Baked in an electric oven, leading to the long waiting times. The staff were friendly. Good food. We had our food quickly, and every thing was as ordered. the pricing is also really nice. This resturants concept is also cool. You get a card similar to a kreditcard when you enter the place, you use this card when you order food. You just lay the card on a scanner then the order charge is put on the card. And you just check out with the card and pay when you leave. read more

Food is pretty good. I had a Pizza and Salad. Pizza dough made daily, very fresh. I didn't have Pasta but it looked really good. The concept sounds cool when they explain it to you. You get a card and take it to each of the food stations where you place your order, scan your card, then after you finish eating, you give the cashier your card to pay. The nice thing about the system is your food is prepared pretty quickly and you get it right away. The drawback is if you want salad, pasta, and pizza, you have to wait in three lines. If they don't have enough staff, you end up waiting in line to order the food so the system has its flaws. But, overall, a good place to go. I would go back. read more
