As a Yelper I'm not camera shy but upon entering Vape Escape I didn't want to do my usual whip out click click because it seemed wrong. Let me explain. A friend turned me on to vaping. I thought I'd try it and finally give up cigarettes. I had no idea what to expect when I entered. I stepped in and looked around and thought what is this place? It was dark and set up like a bar complete with lounge seating and a pool table. At the bar people sat vaping and instead of alcohol on the shelves there were bottles of juice. It all felt so underground, so secretive that I never reached for my camera. I took a seat and told the young lady that approached me that I needed an education on this whole affair and she did just that. She picked a device for me(based on my habits), showed me how to use it and gave me juice samples until I decided what I liked. With the pen and juice I spent about 75.00 which I didn't find unreasonable. I see other reviewers felt cheated but I haven't seen another pen like mine cheaper anywhere else. Despite reading the reviews, I personally never had any issues with this shop. They're always friendly and efficient with their service. The prices are actually reasonable for me. The recommendations that I received about getting a new coil were amazing! I have a smooth, clean hit of my vape every time. Yes, you can look online and find some of the same products listed for cheaper prices, but doesn't mean you're actually getting what you paid for, especially with e-liquids(personal bad experience). When i did research on a vap pen my wife bought at this store today when we got home online, i couldn't believe the prices I was seeing. At various online retailers the exact, apples for apples Smok vap was selling between $11-$15. She paid $45 at this store! That is straight up robbery. If it were a 10% or even 20% markup more in the shop, I could understand being you're get a wealth of free knowledge on the vaping world. But come on... a 400% markup?! This vape shop is convenient right next to the Wawa. They have a rewards system and if you buy a certain amount of juice they give you a free bottle. This store is big, clean, and well-stocked with lots of hardware and juice varieties. The staff is nice and seem very knowledgeable. So why the one star? One word....OVERPRICED. I bought my first starter kit here for $89.95 and then discovered that the same kit is available online for around $40. A 60ml bottle of standard juice is around $40, about $30 more than most online juice stores. Forget buying hardware here..the Alien 220w starter kit is around $59.99 on most websites, but here at VapeEscape? ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE at $159.95!!!!!!!!!!! I had to ask the girl helping me to repeat the price because I thought I had heard her wrong, but nope. One hundred bucks MORE than you will pay for the same kit online. Buyers beware.. Do your homework online if you plan on purchasing a mods here. First let me say, when you go into a retail store, you should be expected to pay a little extra money. After all you have to take into consideration shipping and overhead to keep things in stock. What I wasn't expecting was to find out that I paid 119.00 for a Smok Starter Kit that lists for 39.00 in other locations and has a retail MSRP of 59.99.. Not knowing better and being told that it comes with everything, when no one else sells it that way, was my own fault for trusting them..
