So due to the poor customer service I would not recommend taking your business here.

This is a must-visit destination for pipe smokers…read more The selection of tinned and bulk pipe tobaccos is unparalleled, including many terrific Boswell blends (Cherry Smash is a great aromatic and Northwoods is a stellar choice for those looking to get into English blends). Prices are very reasonable, especially for a brick and mortar store. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and mostly friendly (Alex, in particular, is fantastic--and even the more reserved staff members are helpful). One of the best things about visiting the Chambersburg store is the selection of handmade J.M. Boswell pipes, many of which never make it onto the website. The selection and prices seem to be much better in person and I like being able to hold a pipe before I purchase it. Great smoking lounges upstairs with comfortable places to sit and spend time with friends. Highly recommend.

Everyone working at the front of the store is super nice, always welcoming, and always asks if you need help finding anything. The back of the store where the pharmacy is though, is not so friendly. There are at least three people working there that are nice and actually acknowledge your presence when you walk up to get your prescription, however for the most part you could stand there without a line in front or behind you, and wait while you watch them fill scrips and key in entries on the computer and even make eye contact with you without saying a word. A simple "I'll be right with you" would be suffice but you don't get that. The only reason I come here for my scripts is insurance purposes. However everything unrelated to the pharmacy is amazing like I said. It's by far my favorite place to do my run in and run out "forgot detergent" or "gotta grab make up I'm out of" store. I just wouldn't recommend using their pharmacy. And the fact they don't sell cigarettes is a plus as well. At least they are getting health conscious.

-10 stars the…read morepharmacist Ethel at Greencastle CVS is the nasty women I've ever dealt with, I've been going to this location for about a year. I get my prescription filled every month right around the same day each month, I've dealt with her on multiple occasions and has been rude, disrespectful and nasty to me almost everytime I've went to fill my script ( especially if there were issues or questions about it) this month was the worse! May 22nd 2026 I had my dr send over my prescription and they asked for it to be filled today as I wa leaving out of town and needed to pick it update rather than tomorrow. This became a WHOLE ISSUE apparently, I called and asked why they were you refusing to fill my prescription and explained I needed it today ( to clarify my insurance covers my medication to be filled and picked up 2 days before the 30 day marks ) it was abnormal for me to pick my medication up on the 28th day of my months considering the type of medication it is and I have to leave my town to go there to pick up. Anyway, they returned my call over an hour later, Ethel was immediately rude to me, talking down on me when I was being polite and just trying to figure this out, she claimed my insurance needed to prove this request because it was before fill date ( in her mind ) so I called my i immediately after and spoke to the women who told me, my medication that I've been on for 6 years was approved to be picked up on day 28 every month and that Ethel didn't even try to run the medication on her end. My insurance offered to call them and speak to her. They got back to me and said " I spoke with Ethel, she said that this would be the ONLY time she would fill this medication and she would refuse todo it anymore after this" so here I am confused on why this women thinks she has ANY say about my medication. She thinks she own this pharmacy , she thinks she's a fucking doctor apparently because she is still in there thinking she can tell people when they can pick up there medication even though MY DOCTOR AND INSURANCE APPROVED IT. I will never ever use CVS for anything, myself, my family, my friends, my whole community is going to hear about this and I will make it my personal mission to have her taken out of this position because it is not okay to withhold people medication and treat them badly because you think your some sort of god. I will be speaking to corporate, and anybody else above her that can this women a reality check because she needs one! DONT NOT USE THIS CVS OR ANY CVS FOR ANY PRESCRIPTIONS OR SHOPPING!!!

I stopped in and got a Missouri meerschaum corn cob and an ounce of Christie's tobacco. It's fairly small inside, walking area is about 12 feet by 3 feet, but I doubt it ever really gets crowded. You can tell the place doesn't move too much stock as there is a fair amount of dust everywhere. Don't know if the guy behind the counter was the owner or not, but he didn't seem terribly interested or enthused about having to help me. After all, I wasn't buying one of Christie's world famous hand carved pipes, so I wasn't worth the trouble of being nice to. The guy really came across as though I wasn't important enough to give real service to, so I deduct major points here. Products range from $5 corn cobs to god only knows, with some basic meerschsums priced at a staggering $95. Tons of strange brand cigarette tobacco and Christie's own blended pipe tobacco. Everything is so-so in terms of quality and service. I'm close, in waynesboro in fact, but ill pass next time and hit Boswells in chambersburg. Not a bad place if you something NOW. But a terrible place if you are looking for quality.
