I called Knight Barry at the recommendation of a co-worker to do the title work for a house I was…read moreselling my sister FSBO. I've never sold a house myself and was told by my coworker that Knight Barry was an absolute pleasure to deal with. It was brought to my attention, on the closing date, that the title company that I was primarily dealing with via E-mail was not Knight Barry but it was the title company my sister's bank had hired to do the closing on her behalf. Both title companies are on the same street and I just never noticed that the person I was dealing with via Email wasn't associated with Knight Barry. When the title companies realized that two title companies were involved, I had to decide which company to go with. Speaking with the other title company first, thinking it was Knight Barry, I agreed that I would do the closing with them. After speaking with Anna at Knight Barry and realizing that I just agreed to go with the "bank's" title company (the other title company said that banks typically like to go with the same title company - something that was later found to be not 100% true) I figured I already confused everyone up enough and should just cut my loses and do the closing with the other company. It was 3 hours before the closing at the other title company and I did not want to delay it due to my ignorance. In the end, not only was Knight Barry $500 cheaper (I had both invoices), when I initially contacted Knight Barry, Anna took the time to see if I had saved any of the paperwork needed at closing, from when I bought the house, to cut some of the closing costs. Not only did the other title company NOT do this - Anna from Knight Barry, to save ME money, EVEN AFTER DECIDING TO GO WITH THE OTHER TITLE COMPANY, sent this paperwork to the OTHER company so that I could still save that money on the closing. Anna was VERY, VERY professional and understanding. If I did it again, I would just choose Knight Barry obviously. But I was SO deep in confusion and embarrassment that I just wanted to get it done with. Thank you to Knight Barry and Anna for being so understanding.

No return emails or calls for months, it's rather ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to manage your property, or rent from. They really should just shut their doors and save TONS of people a headache from having to deal with them. While talking to them about potentially managing the properties they were great about returning communication, until we hired them, then it was like they fell off the face of the Earth. They are worthless pieces of crap. Move on to another landlord or management company.
