This place is the real deal - Good Food and ethically sourced products. The authenticy of their values is apparent, and an examplar to any grocery store wanting to be on the right side of history. I have been to Vans on several occasions. But not any more. The quality and range in the shop is good, the prices are varied, some are good some are overpriced. However the customer service is the main reason I will not go here again. On more that one occasion I have found the staff to be rude and unwelcoming. On the last visit despite the sign on the shop window saying they were open later they stopped us from shopping and told us the shop was closing. We had made a special trip just to get here. Next time I know I will go to Brecon and avoid this shop. This is a shame as this will be yet another reason why I and others will not shop in LLandrindod further pushing the town into decline. read more

Although well stocked, this shop is terribly over priced and the woman at the counter is surely a frontrunner for the most miserable woman in Wales award. read more

We were on a visit to the town and was encouraged to see such a good food shop. What a wide range of excellent products enhanced by the enthusiasm of a father and daughter team. On its own almost a reason to move to Llandrindod Wells. Subsequently we have told our own shop in Epsom that they should take a trip to Vans to learn how to create such an excellent business.
