Today, I saw Dr. Robert T. Chapdelaine, and I don't have anything positive to say about the experience. After seeing him in person, I can absolutely understand why so many reviews share the same concerns. This doctor does not respect his patients or their medical conditions. He does not value your time. He does not speak to you with empathy. Unfortunately, I found him to be dismissive, unprepared, and ultimately uncaring. I am a disabled adult living with Latent Autoimmune Diabetes (LADA), also known as Type 1.5 or Type 3 Diabetes, as well as Diabetic Gastroparesis. I've been under pain management care for 7 years in both Florida and Maryland. After recently purchasing a home in Pennsville, my doctor referred me to a local pain specialist -- which led me here. I truly wish I had researched more thoroughly before making the appointment. The Visit: Wait Time: My appointment was at 11:00 AM, but I wasn't seen until 12:45 PM. I sat in the waiting room for nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes, watching three patients who arrived after me go in before me. Forms: Despite spending about an hour the night before filling out the online intake forms, I was handed a redundant paper packet asking for the same information when I arrived. The Doctor's Approach: Dr. Chapdelaine walked in and didn't even make eye contact. I had to introduce myself. He asked very basic questions (like my primary care physician's name and when I last had a gastric imaging), clearly without reviewing my chart in advance. It felt like he was just going through the motions. The Breakdown: When he finally asked about my condition, I explained I have Latent Autoimmune Diabetes. He immediately replied, "An autoimmune disease doesn't tell me anything about your condition." I clarified that I have Latent Autoimmune Disease -- also referred to as Type 3 Diabetes -- and began to explain further. He cut me off to say, "Excuse me, I'm speaking," and launched into a general explanation of autoimmune diseases that showed he wasn't understanding or willing to engage with the specifics of mine. When I pointed out he wasn't listening, he became visibly irritated. I tried once more to clarify, and when I said "Excuse me, I'm speaking" in response to my being interrupted, he clearly didn't appreciate being spoken to the same way he was speaking to me -- and he walked out of the appointment. Summary: This doctor did not respect my medical condition. This doctor did not respect my time. This doctor did not treat me with empathy or basic human decency. This doctor was just the worst. Do I think this review will change his behavior? Honestly, no. From what I experienced, it seemed he stopped caring long ago. But I'm writing this in the hope that it helps you avoid the same experience. You deserve a provider who listens, who learns, and who treats patients with dignity and respect. This was not that

As a caregiver, I took my neighbor to see Dr. Chapdelaine for a 10 am appointment. When we arrived…read more10 minutes early we were met with a tablet to sign in along with paperwork on a clipboard. I filled out the info on the tablet when it decided to take a crap and not work. It took a few to reset it but was able to complete it. The waiting room is small but was full of patients. Hard to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. As patients started going in to be seen, others kept coming in. We waited and waited as others that came in after us went in before us. We said something 2 times only to be met with "well, I only am taking the paperwork on the top." So tell me, how in the world did a patient that came on 15 minutes ago, was already called into a room before us (mind you we arrived 950 am, it is now 11:15 am)?? The staff was very inconsiderate and just shut the door with no response. Even on the phone just to get an appointment they were rude, and then to have the long awaited appointment to be cancelled by the office the day before was not very appealing. The front staff needs to be taught some manners, not be rude and inconsiderate!!! Will be looking for another pain management specialist after today.

During the course of the treatment, it felt as though the tension melted away in waves from the area she was working on. She also taught me how to do self treatments at home, and the combination of the two was extremely helpful for me. Suzanne is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at this work! When I saw my chiropractor the following week, he was very pleased with the condition of my body and stated that she had done an excellent job. I very highly recommend Suzanne!

Dr. Dendrinos is a very personable doctor. He speaks to his patients in a way that makes them…read morecomfortable. Also, I have been pleasantly surprised by the nurse. However, this review is for the reception and front desk. I have never, ever seen "professional" behave so poorly. From when they greet you to when you are checked out it shows a total disparity from the way the nurse and the doctors behave. I have walked into my appointment and had the lady at the window just staring at me catching me off guard as if to start a conversation with her. I have said good morning and it's as if you have not said a word. The lady at check out usually gives you poor instructions and you have to call back when you realize you got only half of the instructions. This lady is also very antipathetic or lacking people skills. But what broke the last straw was that my wife had called explaining that she had a headache for several days. She called for an appointment and the lady who answered the phone asked my wife to explain her symptoms to then say "we have nothing available. We are full until January". After my wife insisted that she needed to be seen, they offered her something the very next day, but at a time that she couldn't be at the office. They said they would call her back. Several hours passed before my wife called and asked if they had checked. The lady said that my wife could not be scheduled, but never called back to follow up. My wife ended up going to the emergency room. Since Dr. Dendrinos is hour family doctor, the emergency room ended sending the report over and literally in a few minutes my wife was called from Dr. Dendrinos office wanting to follow up and this time offering an appointment. I understand that they may deal with difficult people daily, but if the doctor (who is the boss) and the nurse can be nice and proactive, then everyone else can do it. My suggestion is that if you don't like your job then it makes sense to change your career and not make people pay for your disgruntlement. My suggestions to Dr.Dendrinos is the culture in any team is extremely important. Everyone should be trying to do the best and showing the best face for the patient. I understand, people can be difficult, but it is important that everyone represents to earn the trust of patients. If the first thing one encounters is a long face and no courtesy, then one is better off going somewhere else. Lastly, being proactive is extremely important especially when a patient may not know how serious is their condition. If there is no opportunity for an appointment, well that happens, but the front desk and receptionist should be sensitive and at least treat people with kindness. Our experience is that the people at the reception have no clue what kindness means. Best of luck, but we are moving on from here.
