I had my first Vanilla Cupcake Bakery experience when a friend of mine had a small bridal shower at a different restaurant and their giveaways were jars of mango panna cotta. I found the packaging adorable and immediately got curious about Vanilla Cupcake Bakery.
A week after, I headed to the store to try a cupcake, namely their salted caramel. The chocolate cupcake base was a bit crumbly, but the frosting or rather caramel topping more than made up for it. Aside from the caramel swirls, it's also drizzled with caramel syrup and topped with a walnut. I'm not sure if I was eating with my eyes again, but it was good.
Aside from the visually pleasing cupcakes, the store is also very photogenic from so many angles. The small nooks, accent chairs all over, chandeliers, several frames on the walls with motivational or funny quotes, and patterns galore from the floor, to the furniture, to the counters. Being a fan of Cath Kidston products and designs, I just couldn't resist looking at their serving ware and plates if they were the real thing and indeed they were! It just shows they value quality and authenticity.

They then sent a sketch and had us pay for the downpayment at whichever branch was most convenient for us. Considering they only had less than 1 week to prepare, the cake turned out to be very nice and tasted really good, too! read more
