She was kind, professional, and made the whole experience way less intimidating than I expected. Yasmin makes you feel completely at ease, is super thorough, and is just genuinely so sweet. She understood exactly what I wanted in my hair cut and actually cut it the way requested, not like so many that cut it the way they want to. I have made her my only Barber going forward, been back 3 times. I finally tried the waxing with her recently, being a little afraid of the pain aspect but she was great using the best waxing products and talking me thru the whole process that made it so much easier. I am no longer afraid of getting a Brazilian wax from her. It was surprisingly enjoyable. I am thinking of a full body was the next time, so much smoother. This salon is small but intimate and very clean. Private waxing room and I understand that they also do personal shaving if the waxing is not your thing. Appointments are best as they tend to get busy. They specialize in men grooming but woman are always welcome.

After a recent incident, I asked the manager for the formal chain of escalation and contact information for corporate or the franchise owner. She refused and provided only her own email, stating she would forward my complaint. I never received a response or confirmation that it was escalated. I have documented the incident and my attempts to escalate it. Preventing customers from accessing an independent complaint process raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. I am requesting that EWC provide the corporate or franchise-owner contact information so this matter can be formally reviewed. If I continue to be denied an appropriate escalation process, I will consider further consumer and legal avenues available to me.

I've had a few experiences where things felt a little rough, but I continued coming back because I believe one bad experience doesn't outweigh all the good ones. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. They didn't even try to clean the leftover eyebrow hairs off my face--I stood up and had them all over my face. It's the little things that make a difference, and unfortunately, I don't feel like they put in the same effort they used to. I really hope they can get back to the friendly and welcoming service they had when they first opened.

I'm disappointed with how my recent experience with Sugar & Glow was handled…read more On September 12, I had an appointment and was delayed because I was stuck in the area of a car accident. I was doing everything I could to still make it to my appointment and expected to be only about five minutes past the grace period. I was even willing to shorten my service to just the Brazilian wax, without the mask, so I could still be seen, and I was willing to pay the full service price with no discount. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not willing to accommodate this. I also asked if I could speak with a manager and was told to email, but that management would not be reaching out to me. I was charged a $40 missed appointment fee, so I emailed management to explain the situation and request that the fee be refunded as a one-time courtesy. Berlyn Ramirez, the founder, responded that she would look into the matter and get back to me. I provided the requested screenshots of my calls. Since then, I have followed up twice requesting a status update and have still received no response. I completely understand having appointment policies and late fees, but I'm disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through after I made several attempts to resolve the issue directly. I'm normally very punctual and was genuinely trying to make it to my appointment despite an unexpected situation. I would have preferred to resolve this privately, but after multiple attempts to follow up without receiving a response, I feel it's important to share my experience.
