The people who run Vanguard must be sadists. Their app said I was up over $200k when I was actually down about $3500. Smh

This company did not honor their offer to reimburse me about $230 for money lost due to their inefficient system somehow deleting a request I made to withdraw my money from an investment account on 1/2. The manager I spoke with (A.F.) at first told told me she would work with her adjustments team to reimburse the money lost but then a week later told me that the system had been processing my request and it took so long (21 days) because I had accidentally made a request to unenroll from personal advisor services from my IRAs. I think she lied to me because I actually had to call back again on 1/22 and speak with C.W. again and N.C. to make another request to just pull my money out. It took over 3 weeks for them to initiate the withdrawal request. Why would I have to request it again unless it didn't actually go through the first time? I only even made that mistake because the women I spoke with on 1/2 (A.) told me I had to go to their website and she gave me the steps which I thought I was following correctly until she told me I made a mistake and now had to wait. I made an apt with an advisor for 1/5 and that woman (C.W.) told me she did not see a request to pull out my money but she did see the processing request to unenroll from personal advisor services from my IRAs. She told me I had to wait so I made another apt to speak with an advisor for 1/11 and that guy (J.G.) told me he DID see my processing request to withdraw my money and that I should get it in my bank either 1/12 or 1/16 and that he would call me as soon as it was processed. He never called me. It was a pain to even get a manager on the phone and I really had to put my foot down with the employee and beg him to make it happen. How can a multi trillion dollar company not even have managers available to talk?? Their new system takes over 5 business days to process some requests yet it deletes other requests and nobody there seems to care or even know what is going on! Once I request one change to one account requesting changes to other accounts will slow down or even stop the process of my original request. NONE of the people I spoke with (about 12) told me that if I changed my risk tolerance to more conservative that it would delete my request to withdraw funds. Why did none of them know? How could their system even do that anyway? I even had one employee tell me that he hated their new system. Frankly, it's horrifying, so much so that I chose to move my IRAs to Fidelity. I soon realized Fidelity's website and app are very user-friendly, unlike Vanguard. I also just got a statement in the mail from them. How considerate! My dad recommended Vanguard to me almost 20 years ago and if he knew what I had to go through with them this year he would be rolling in his grave. Things change and something that has changed for the worse is Vanguard. I had planned to be a life long customer but after being given so much misinformation by so many employees and seeing so many inconsistencies on their website (which I have screenshots of) I am so glad to be over them. I will add a funny screenshot to my review so you can see for yourself. It shows I made a ton of $ in 2024 even though I was actually down about $3500 at the time I took the screenshot...

Horrible website. It's always a long process trying to log in. Why can't a company this size hire someone to fix these problems?

I have used a number of financial advisors over the years and found that there are a lot of really good guys in this business that don't know how to manage money. Keith is the first one I have found that is not only a nice guys but really knows how to manage money. My performance has far exceeded all of the benchmarks since moving to Traynor Capital. He was even buying more of tech stocks on the way down long before they hit their lows. When I tried to talk to Keith about what I was reading and hearing about the looming downfall of the market back in March 2022 he told me, "why can't you just be like your husband and not look at your account." Four months later my account was down over $200,000 and remains down. I finally pulled my accounts from him in October when I expressed my concerns over a purchase he made to which he replied "unless your horizon has changed from 10 years to 3 months I shouldn't be concerned. Quote to make my place ready for new rental was $1,215 more than the price quoted by the management company I have since moved to and who has stellar reviews. Some items in the quote were clearly unnecessary, in my view and, apparently, in the view of the management company I've gone with since there was no mention of "ripping up carpet," for example. 2. Over 3 times more to renew my rental license than it would cost me to do by myself (which I have done every year). $70 versus $283 3. $180 to "supply and install" 3 smoke alarms. (By the way, 3 functioning alarms were there on the bannister. I was charged $95 to go to the unit to turn off one that was going off. 4. $200 to remove items left in closets and "haul to dump." Note: one item was a portrait of me when I was a child and the other items were photo albums. No questioning of whether I or the previous tenants wanted these items that clearly were personal. They knew that the previous tenants were my family members. Regardless, I would think that one's first instinct would be to see if family photo albums were left by mistake and to see to whom they belong. 5. $150 to inspect my property after the previous tenants vacated 6. $125 to replace a handle on a sliding door to the indoor balcony 7. No reports emailed to me (as other management companies that I have researched do) and a portal that does not at all make the reports easy to read. Indeed, I had to ask for a report to be run for what I needed to file my taxes. 8. An attitude of my place looking nearly like a dump when the person I am going with said it was a nice place (including a functional fireplace) with not much work to do to make it rent ready--painting was the main thing, which DelVal also said but, again, at a MUCH higher quoted price. Instead of seeing the dirt on the steps that lead to the unit as "normal wear and tear," DelVal's inspection saw it as "damage." These are examples. I very quickly learned to simply take care of matters myself. As I recall, it was going to cost 2 or three digits to replace an air filter, for example. The mark-up for repairs and maintenance is 20%!! Other management companies with reputable reviews and with years of experience charge anywhere from 0 mark-up (they have their own General Contracting Company) to 10%. In doing my personal research, I have found no other company to charge a 20% markup. Lack of Smooth Transition: For example, no arrangements were made with the tenants who were leaving in terms of keeping the gas on (putting it in my name) or changing the electricity into my name. Again, I am taking care of these things, including having to travel 2 hours to wait in person for the gas company to turn on the gas. Bottom Line: A landlord can do MUCH better without DelVal and with another management company.

The original agent spent 3 weeks and could not get us a single serious interest in our house that we lived in for 18 years and invested heavily to upkeep it. Towards the 3rd week we realized something was not right. We miraculously found Marry and contacted her the next day. Our first meeting with Mary was so eye opening that we immediately de-listed our house and engaged with Marry. So here is the difference in service. A day after we engaged Marry and the house had not even gone live yet, she had already lined up an interested party for us. In the next 5 days before the house actually went live on MLS, she had already shown the house to few people and once the house went live we had 3 people interested on the 4th night in the house. On the 5th night, we got an offer and the house was sold!!! Mary was a god-send for us. She has the perfect marketing machine and she uses all avenues to get houses marketed and generate interest in record time. Mary is an immensely skillful seller and understands her market with tremendous depth. She was very realistic in helping us do the right market analysis to suggest a price that would generate interest. She was a master negotiator and helped us get the right price and made the process very simple for us. She was always communicating with us and the fact that she closed the deal in 5 days in the middle of a major pandemic says a lot about her real estate and selling acumen. We would highly recommend Mary to be your real estate agent and partner because we understand first hand how important it is to have the right person help you. Mary has decades of experience in the local market, real estate laws, and most importantly social media marketing. In this day and age you need someone with Mary's deep understanding of social media to help you quickly and efficiently sell real estate with full peace of mind. Thank you Mary for making our experience so painless and quick!!!
