My dad is co ex in an estate. An heir owes $ to the estate and the date for payment in full is now…read moreless than 1 year away. In the event legal action is necessary, my dad has been emailing Benyak asking what he may have to do. My dad has sent 3 emails asking for that info and 2 asking for the fee agreement Benyak has with the estate as he has been paid $19,894.54 thus far. That's more than I have gotten. Benyak emailed my father telling him that he (Benyak) is not legally required to "school" my father on the foreclosure process/procedures. A lawyer that has received almost $20,000 refuses to address a possible scenario that, if it comes to be, would require specific legal action(s). He suggested my dad hire another lawyer to explain that to him. He (Benyak) also said in the email that should my father attempt again to obtain this knowledge via email he'd (Benyak would) consider it harassment. Can you believe that? Could it be he doesn't know? Difficult to say, we have nothing in writing. I volunteered for this man in the mid 1990's in a failed bid for PA state Rep, he has since ran for public office and I believe (don't know for sure) he has yet to win. Perhaps the public is smarter than I assume. Also, the other co ex asked a question about the other possible scenario...the $ being paid in full...that question was answered the next business day! I have witnessed arrogance in the past, lots of it, but the bar has been raised here, in my opinion. If you want someone to work FOR YOU, hire someone else, in my opinion. Although if you want to pay $19,894.54 and have someone speak to you this way, run, run, run, to this man. Yelp really needs to allow for negative star ratings for some. BTW, 1 star was as low as I could go. I used to consider this person a friendly acquaintance, that's no longer the case by any means. I simply can't imagine speaking (via email) to someone from whom you've gotten almost $20,000 the way he did to my father. I'm left with the feeling that Benyak feels he's simply better than some people, that's an opinion..I hope its not true. The point remains, I cannot EVER recall someone or some company EVER reacting that way to a customer/client. So if you decide on hiring Benyak, I advise you simply write him checks and don't bother him with legal questions...he seems to get very upset by that. The opinions expressed are mine alone and are not represented to be anything other than opinions (albeit informed opinions). I feel it necessary to say this as I believe Benyak would consider my opinions as violating some law, I don't know which one specifically, and since email questions seem to upset him...well you see where I'm going.
