Beautiful white sand, fast walk to the water, and shallow water for a very long distance into the ocean. Very kid friendly and safe.

Great beach! Beautiful water. Sand is nice for walking. Gets crowded but most great beaches do. People are pleasant. Nice clean bathroom. Metered parking if u can get it or parking garage. Husband and I were visiting parents and spent a few hours at the beach. We are from New England and live 4 miles from a beautiful beach. This beach compares with ours. Out of season, this is probably one of my favorite beaches on this coast! Accessing it is a bit difficult but once you get there, there are jet skis and boats and kites and the water is so amazing! The sand is the finest sand of beaches I've been to on this coast. Love to walk up and down by the Ritz and see the sunset- this is my favorite here! Not really a shelling beach. This review is solely based on the fact I came here to watch the sunset. Lol. But don't get me wrong, this is still a nice beach in the Naples area! The sand is super soft, wasn't too crowded, and there are bars/coffee shops near the area. There is a parking garage that is close to the beach, and i think it's free on the weekends, but during the day you have to pay. Also, if you use that garage there is an elevator but it does shut down at 8:15pm promptly. Every night. Definitely come watch the sunsets here, it is absolutely breath-taking! read more

We came in mid-late April, so it wasn't too crowded. I'd recommend this over both Marco Island beaches. We stayed in Marco and made the drive to Vanderbilt for something with smoother sand and it delivered. Someone must've listened to the prior reviews about the nasty bathrooms b/c they were plenty clean enough for my wife and I to take our 3 yr old son in to use. Because I compare every beach to Siesta Key beach, I can't give it 5 stars (or maybe I should give Siesta Key 6??), but this was a nice beach, super friendly service at the cabanas (we rented one b/c we're pale), and we had a wonderful time. Just make sure to park in the garage on the left-hand side as you're driving up to to the beach. It's probably a 50 yard walk or so, but it's hard to find unless you know it's "beach parking." We kept thinking it was a hotel parking garage. read more

One of my favorite beaches in Florida. Second only to Lido Beach in Sarasota. Access to the beach is great. If you don't want to walk with all your beach gear, you can have one person in your party pull up to the circle and drop you and your stuff off. Then they can go find parking. We have our beach cart and it's the best investment ever. It looks like they will be building a new restroom area, which is a good thing. I don't really blame them for the condition of the restrooms. It is a beach restroom after all. People can be a bit more conscientious. I have yet to go to a beach where the restrooms have attendants. Same goes to the rude folks that plant themselves, usually right next to me, to smoke their cancer sticks. Or, as was the case this past week, their cigars. Seriously, I go to the beach for fresh air, not carcinogens. One other reason why Lido wins. They're smoke free! Pack some snacks and drinks because there are no food vendors on the beach. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. As I am on Vanderbilt beach with my family a disrespectful employee of Cabana Dans approached us and told us we needed to get our shit off his beach. We explained that we are on public property and he proceeded to yell at us using profanity. Absolutely ridiculous. We brought our own umbrella and chairs and we apparently impeded on his beach. This is an absolute disappointment and cabana dans should be ashamed to hire employees who would curse at children. Vanderbilt beach is a public beach for the people. You should be ashamed of yourself. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. read more

Beaches are overcrowded. Inlaws own a place there and have been coming for years. 2020 was bad but thought it would get better. Unfortunately it was even worse this year. People moved so close to us on each side at the beach, people could not walk between us. The wait at restaurants is a joke too. With the addition of a naples One (major project adding 100s of places right across the street from Vanderbilt Beach) it is going to get worse and really hard to believe. My in-laws sold their place for a ridiculous price and are moving on.. Actually feel badly for the people who bought the place. Hope it works out for them. Good riddance to Vanderbilt Beach. Oh well. Definitely the "party beach" of Naples! Lots of fun but definitely gets super crowded year round so expect to have no more than 3-4 feet between you and your closest neighbors. This beach attracts a louder and rowdier crowd, expect drinking, smoking, loud music, and bbqing. Not my favorite beach in Naples but always end up having a great time with friends here! read more

Oh man what a beautiful beach. Sand was white clean and nice and soft the water was blueish green so clean and nice and warm. Was packed everyday we were here but locals said it was the perfect storm so to speak as it was Easter Passover and Spring Break for the local schools and some colleges but I'm not complaining some of the sights were well worth the crowd lol. They have a boardwalk to restrooms 1st set are small but just around bend are bigger restrooms those have men's women's and family all have changing stations for children. Now for parking omg we parked as close to beach as you can and it was only 10 dollars ! I pay 30 in Gloucester Ma and not even close to this beach. As for chairs they have chair umbrellas and cabana type things not sure of price for others but chairs were 8 Dollars I couldn't believe it I pay 18 up north what a bargain I figured chairs would be 30 and parking similar but was pleasantly surprised. As for lot we parked in I'd say be there by 10am same for chairs and stuff as they said they sell out quick stand that rents opens at 9am. There's also a parking garage that's probably less than 5 minutes walk not sure of price but gotta figure if closest to beach is 10 it's probably cheaper than that. There's also jet ski rental and parasailing too. I absolutely loved the beach !!! The only drawback and it's no biggie is that unlike beaches up here when the tide switches from high to low and vice versa the water doesn't come up or go out so the real estate on the sand stays the same not sure if it's because it's the gulf or not. GREAT beach. Clean. they drag it every morning so that the sand itself is good and ready for some beach volleyball (or sunbathing). I mean, I guess I have no idea how to write a review of a beach...sorry I'm not sorry? They have beach chairs for rent ($5 a day) which is nice and cabanas ($20/day). They do regulate the beach, meaning there is no "crap" going on, but they allow you do drink (if you "hide" it). read more

This was one of the first three beaches I've really enjoyed in Florida. It is great because it was rarely busy and parking was always close by. However, vandalism struck one poor pick up truck as I was walking to the walk way some strange scat head thought it would take the time to defecate and proceed to use a sock to write bad words on the glass and body of the truck. Mind you this was in broad daylight. Makes me wonder what else goes on in that parking lot. So much for security. This is my favorite beach in Naples. It isn't too "shelly" and you can always find a spot. I think it is ironic how "barefoot beach" has its name yet has so many shells. Vanderbilt Beach is an eclectic group of people. Some tourists, some locals, some young, some old, some couples, some families. If it rains on Vanderbilt beach it usually passes very quickly but you can watch everyone scatter like the rain will melt them and even get a better spot when this happens. You will find a lot of sand dollars and I recommend bringing a snorkeling mask. There are some paddle boards for rent down to the right and beach chairs when you first walk into the beach although I'm not sure the cost of either. Enjoy the sun! read more

Not only is this close and convenient for my morning weekend beach strolls but its one of my favorite beaches in Naples. The parking is close by, the sand is its loose granular, silky feel w/ minimum shells and oak tree debris. Bathrooms are easily accessible as well as showers. The water itself is usually on point, unless its after a bad storm then the water is a but turned up. It has one the most spectacular views for sunsets, but with the said it makes for more of a crowd especially w/ the Ritz Carlton Hotel being walking distance. It depends on your mood, if u like the crowd it could be fun as they rejoice w/ the sundown or you can walk up north of the beach and find your own little safe haven. read more

We visited this beach twice during our last vacation and it was great! They have a cabana and you can rent chairs for $7 or beach cabanas for $20. Parking is down the street in a garage for $8. I would suggest dropping everyone off with your stuff and then going to park. We went up the beach to Gumbo Limbo for lunch but the Turtle Club is close too! Definitely check this out when you're in town. P.S-I think there are different bathrooms, the one I used was disgusting but my mom said she went to one that was new and clean. One of the best beach access and parks in Collier County. About 2005 my son and I managed to drum up enough support to get that 3 layered parking lot built. Unfortunately for the Ritz Carlton Hotel, the parking lot now contributes to 1000's of beach folks daily that enjoy the beach all the way south to Clam Pass and north to Wiggins Pass. The Ritz Carlton Hotel tried in vain to oust people off what they consider 'their beach', but unsuccessfully. All collier beaches are public on the gulf of Mexico :-) read more

I'm from California where beaches are cold and rough, and don't get me wrong, I LOVE California beaches, but Vanderbilt beach was a completely different experience. This beach is Packed so come early. $8 to parking, not six as we had read and been told. White soft sand. Warm water. We had a lovely day. You can bring your own food and chairs or everything you might need is there for rental. Walk across the street to get a decent frozen drink. People were really friendly, chatted up folks on all sides. And then we returned to watch the sunset. Amazingly, there were hundreds there to do the same. It was a giant party celebrating the beauty of Mother Earth. Before we leave this paradise and head back to winter we will do a day and an eve on the beach again. read more

One of the most popular, accessible beaches in Collier County. Very crowded near the parking garage, particularly during holidays, high season (late Dec.-April) and weekends. I suggest walking about a quarter of a mile north of the main beach area and settling there. Much less crowded and the water is clearer. read more

The beach is excellent especially now with the new sand that was hauled in to re sand the the whole beach. It is now soft and comforting. There are no more "killer shells"( the ones you step on and hurt real bad). So the new sand helps a whole lot. And the people are very nice. The houses are gorgeous to gaze at when taking a nice walk while the sunsets. But the water is gorgeous and the activities out there are amazing. read more

Wow. Nice resort but they are very tough to do business with when planning a special event, in this case a surprise 60th birthday gathering. We have attempted to secure the needed rooms for months. We booked with the alleged understanding we could cancel if rooms did not become available. After giving more than the typical notice we lost the deposit as two weeks notice were needed in June ?? High season is understandable but hurricane season, seriously?? Shameful. read more
