The third time, when I went to the same shop, they indicated, that if I went through ICBC, they would write off my car. Shop quoted me $10,000 to repair it privately if I wanted to keep the car. I decided, to search for somewhere else, and found Bridgeport Collision. Asked for a quote, and was quoted $4500-$5000 to have it repaired privately. They indicated I should be able to have it repaired through ICBC no problem. Had an estimate done, and they were correct, and I was able to get the car repaired through ICBC. Turns out to be a $5700, repair only. No idea why the previous shop quoted me $10,000. Parts arrived quickly as well, dropped off my car on a Saturday, parts arrived Tuesday the following week, and got the car back the same week. Special thanks to Henry, who was super helpful with me the whole time, and even offered to get my flat tire repaired to save me a trip to the tire shop. Excellent service, and they did an excellent job repairing my car. It's as good as new now. Will definetely come back again

Now, I have a major leak from the sunroof which is making its way to the front passenger side and driver's side carpet. I brought it to their service dept. and they said that I have to pay $280 plus tax to fix it. I tried to explain that this kind of repair should be covered by their ECP since it's a faulty sunroof drain. I feel that I have been deceived and lied to when they sold me their ECP and I plan to bring this up to the Better Business Bureau and even up to Toyota Canada M.H. GECOLEA

We were only at the dealership on February 18, 2023, yet paperwork was later submitted to ICBC with my signature dated March 4, 2023 -- a date I was not present. This means my signature was forged on at least two separate transfer forms. One transferring the vehicle they actually sold us to me and the one they were supposed to sell me transferring back to the dealership. All forged! When receiving documentation there was 4 different bills of sale... all different, all forged. We are now involved in a VSA investigation to resolve this. We didn't know a thing until we tried to trade our vehicle in this past December. I would strongly caution others to be very careful when dealing with this dealership and to double-check all paperwork before signing anything.

On May 15, 2015, I brought my vehicle to Performance One for an oil change. The oil change was done…read moreincorrectly, which required the car to be towed to the dealership to correct. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the issue was caused by over filling engine oil. They also found engine oil on the engine air filter housing, MAF sensor, throttle body, cylinder heads and exhaust. The dealership did not find any pre-existing damage to the vehicle, I paid for the dealership diagnostic examination, repair service and clean up out of my pocket. Performance One denied any wrongdoing, and refused to reimburse me for the monies paid to correct their damage. I had to file a complaint to BC Small Claims Court, wherein the court ruled against Performance One, awarding me with the repair invoice amount, search fees and court fees. The judge also noted that AWG Performance One has wasted my time, their time, and the court time. Making a mistake is one thing, but when a mistake is made by a business, one would expect they would own up to it and not need customers to take them to Court. Wanting to bring your beloved vehicle to Performance One? Think again!

So, here's the story. I know a little but not a lot about cars. I do know when you hear a bad…read morenoise, something is wrong. Not withstanding the "comments" from various male friends, I knew the clutch on my 10 year old Nissan Sentra needed to be done. I've had my fair share of distrust over the years of mechanics and repair shops. Most of them seemed like rip off artists to me...speaking down to me as if they were trying to impart knowledge that was way over my head. It always felt like they really just wanted my money. Enter Performance One: I've been coming to Performance One for the last year and a bit for oil changes and such minor things. In that time, I've had some good conversations with the manager, service advisor and both mechanics. Even for a simple oil change, if I had questions, they gave me answers. That makes me feel good. So earlier this week when I went in for my regular oil change and the mechanic said "Your clutch has to be done right away. I'm not kidding. Don't put this off any longer or the transmission could be damaged and then you're really in trouble." It was a no-brainer to get them to do it. I'm not going to kid you, a clutch job is expensive. And I admit, out of curiosity, I called around anyway to get some other quotes...and friends shared their stories of how much they paid over the years for the same kind of work. I found the quote from Performance One to be very reasonable (the quote from my Nissan dealership was outrageous!) The service manager gave me some options to choose from and explained the pro and cons of those options. The mechanic popped his head in and gave his two cents as well. Again, giving me the information helped me feel that I am part of the process and I know what's going on. I took my car in first thing Friday morning and it was done late that afternoon...spending the day in their upstairs lounge as the work went on. AND HOLY CRAP. The clutch they put in is FRICKEN AWESOME. I am so happy! I'm not fighting to get it into 2nd or reverse anymore. I was actually good with paying this bill because I think driving will be a pleasure again. Thanks guys, you've got my business and I'll wholeheartedly recommend you guys any time.
