Dalton Law Office - Nicole T. Dalton, Trial Lawyer

Dalton Law Office

Highly skilled and aggressive, especially with regards to criminal defense. If you're after a cheap…read moreor quick resolution, this might not be the lawyer for you. Ms. Dalton is thorough and won't rush a case when there is still investigation or litigation to be done. If you're in it to win, then Nicole is your attorney. At the end of the day, what price are you willing to place on your liberty?

UPDATE/CORRECTION: I want to correct one portion of my original review for accuracy. My concern was…read morenot that funds continued to be deducted from my trust account after October 2025. My concern is that I did not receive updates regarding work that was reportedly being conducted on my case from January through June 2026, and I did not receive an itemization of that work until September 23, after I raised concerns about the handling of my case. Since posting my review, Nicole Dalton has sent me correspondence demanding that I correct or remove portions of my reviews and stating that she will evaluate available legal remedies if she believes false factual statements remain published. I am making this correction because I want my review to accurately reflect my experience and the documentation I have. What has not changed is my opinion of the service I received or my concerns regarding communication, organization, court preparation, delays, and the overall handling of my case. I also find it extremely concerning that there has been time for multiple communications regarding my negative review, yet I am still waiting for my complete client file after terminating the attorney-client relationship and repeatedly requesting it. I specifically requested that my electronic file be provided via Dropbox. I am also still awaiting the return of my daughter's original birth certificate. My original review reflects my personal experience with this firm. I am correcting the specific billing language for accuracy, but my overall opinion of the representation and service I received remains unchanged.

Schuck Law - The Schuck Law legal team

I worked as an analyst for a call center for what amounted to roughly 2.5 weeks. After the 2.5 week…read moretraining session concluded, I elected to seek other opportunities and left my employer on good terms. I had filled out my timesheet each week. My employment was as a contractor, separate from the company I was working for actually. After 2+ weeks of not being paid at all (over a month delay total), I reached out to Schuck Law after searching the internet for a solution. According to Karen, who cited Oregon State Law, I should have been expecting my final paycheck to be deposited/delivered to me within 24 hours of my ending employment. After talking to Karen, I made the formal decision to hire Schuck Law, and specifically have Karen represent my case Karen and her staff worked with me diligently, patiently, and eventually was able to resolve my situation in my favor. It took a goodly bit, over 3 months to resolve, but I thanks to the clear expectations set forth to me by Karen, I expected this. In the end my pay was addressed, albeit 4+ months late. I was most impressed with was their candor about how to handle this, what to expect, and how things would eventually play out. Karen made it clear that this whole endeavor was a process, and that the process needed to play out accordingly. My former contracting agency at first balked regarding any penalty wages, let alone paying me what I had worked (and forget the legal fees for Schuck Law LLC), but when all was finished, both Shuck Law and myself were paid as expected, including penalty wages. In over 25 years of working I have never had a situation like this, but I am grateful that my first time allowed me to find a great solution to addressing my needs. I consider myself quite fortunate to have found an honest, diligent, and reputable law firm to represent my needs. I have had little reason to involve an attorney in my life, but the one time I did, I found someone I would easily recommend to others. Karen and her staff was excellent, and treated my situation with respect and understanding. I am sure there are attorney's out there that are worse, but I seriously doubt there are others that are better. If you have a wage claim issue, and you feel your employer or former employer has violated state or federal laws in Oregon (or Washington), please do not hesitate to call them. I sincerely hope I never have to go thru something like this again, but if I do, I know who I would call if need be..

Highly recommend this law firm for wage claims. Karen was extremely knowledgable and my case…read moreoutcome was outstanding without having to go to arbitration or court. They were direct and honest about reviewing my claim and my documentation was instrumental in building the case. Call Schuck Law if you need help getting wages you were not paid!
