They literally stole $486 from me. Here is what happened. I rented a trencher for $195 a day on Friday afternoon at 4:00pm with the plan to get it returned the next day by 4:00 since that is what time they close on Saturday. Unfortunately I could not get it cleaned, filled with gas and back to them by 4pm. I was about an hour too late. So I took off work on Monday morning to return it first thing at 8am Monday. When I got there I was told I would be charged for 2 extra days???? Well someone cant add because it was actually only 1 day and 16 hours. But here is what will keep me from using or even recommending Gerken ever again. If I returned this on Saturday at closing, they would not be renting it again until Monday morning any ways. Plus the hour meter shows I only used it for 1.8 hours. So a good company with good customer service will take all things into consideration and only charge maybe 4 hours extra or 1 extra day. Which I would have been fine with. But I can see that Gerken is not concerned with pleasing customers. they are concerned about making money. Thats why not just this Gerken but any Gerken will not be seeing any more business from me or anyone I know. Enjoy the extra $486

I hired McCoy to haul out a bunch of junk. McCoy came out to my property on time. He has a…read moreprofessional attitude. He clearly explained issues as they came up. He was able to load up a trailer full of junk in less than an hour. The pricing was around the industry standard. There are a couple of things I want to mention that I wasn't aware of at the time of the visit. First, McCoy is a cash only business as of the time of this review. I wasn't aware of this, but we were able to make things work via Venmo. The other thing I want to point out is that while McCoy was able to take a large amount of items, there is an upcharge for chemicals. That being said, the amount he charged for the chemicals was fair, and I was happy to pay. I have a lot of junk I want to dispose of, so I will hire him again in 3-4 months. I recommend his services. I look forward to supporting my hometown neighbor and providing McCoy additional opportunities in the future.

Total nightmare. I arrived via uber to pick up my reserved truck to finish a move and as I'm retrieving my wallet from my husband's small backpack (which we were using to keep both of our wallets in place during the move) Gabriel told me he was not comfortable renting to us as it appeared we had "all of our earthly belongings with us"... I could not believe this! Was he calling me homeless?! I showed him the contents of the bag, confused, and ensured him it was only holding our wallets. He insisted he would not rent us a truck because, "These trucks cost a lot of money, and don't get returned sometimes", and "he was going to go with his gut" and stand on refusing us a truck. In our conversation he also asked how we got there, once we answered with "an uber" he said our story wasn't adding up. As if you need a "story" to rent a truck. My ID was valid, and money good. Rented from U-Haul for years and have never experienced anything like this. Will likely never return and spend the few extra dollars on a Penske when needing to rent a truck or van in the future. As an African American couple, we are incredibly disappointed with how we were treated. Luckily, after calls to supervisors and regional managers... I was rented a truck. But after having spent hours on getting a truck, we won't make it to storage on time. #1moreDayofMoving

In addition, the car was left unlocked next to the store for 2 hours and the car was opened and items are missing. ADH takes no responsibility even though the left the unattended car unlocked. I didn't leave it unlocked, they did. Don't take your car to this location if you are looking for honest people to do the work. It's unfortunate that they wouldn't take ownership for a mistake they clearly made. Lesson learned. We took our little…read moreRV (24' Airstream Interstate) to Premier - we've had it for 4 years, and usually took it to another place in east Kansas City - won't name them just to be polite. Premier swapped out our awning, replaced our coach batteries, fixed a clogged drain and a couple of other minor items at a total cost about half of what we expected. More importantly, they communicated with us at every step - advising of costs and options and getting specific approval. I think this is a family business (dealt with the owner usually) and they are very concerned about their reputation - which means they'll stand by their work. Color me as a repeat customer.
