Be that as it may, this small but beautiful little gallery in located inside Old Capital Market next to Bashford Courts. They list their address as "120 W. Gurley St., on the Mezzanine" which means one level above the ground floor. Some people just say "inside Spice Traveler" instead of inside "Old Capital Market" but either way... This gallery is an artists' cooperative, which I love! The variety and quality of the artists is quite nice. Each artists' name is clearly displayed in the section alond with their collection of work.There are paintings,photography, sculpture, metal sculpture, jewelry, wearable art, furniture, pottery, just to name some of the things. It is small space but doesn't feel cramped due to the open air setup inside the Old Capial Building. It is beautifully layed out and well maintained. It was a very nice shop then, but there is something about this location that seems even better. Maybe it's all the natural light from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. I'm not sure, but it is a real pleasure browsing all the beautiful work. One little thing I really like are the hand-made artisan greeting cards. There are so many unique and interesting ones, and big bonus, they are no more expensive than regularly priced Hallmark cards! How cool is that? The store itself opens to the outside of the mall, and is located at the main mall entrance. Some of the newer stores around the mall aren't up to what I'd call common "Mall Standards" and don't give the feel that Gateway Mall can be revitalized. But Prescott Art Market is a wonderful addition and gives a bit of hope to that. I highly recommend you visit this shop.
