It's up to you to create and develop an affable, well-constructed home that is up to code. The homes he sells are beyond questionable. They are not even up to code. He's lied to me about the square footage and acreage size of my home and property. I was in a situation where I had a waivering Wi-Fi signal (no cell phone signal) and was hardly even able to find a home let alone dig any deeper to find out the facts about the home that I purchased or was about to purchase. So I had to rely on his word and I will never do such a thing ever again. He even lied about the tenant who rented my home before me and claimed that he never smoked inside. I was sick to my stomach for 2 months because it was absolutely filthy and the tenant did in fact smoke inside and the walls were nicotine-stained. Because the tenant didn't even lift a finger to clean I made the request that the home be thoroughly cleaned top to bottom prior to my moving in even after agreeing to purchase this home and he agreed to this. On the day that I moved in I had driven 5 hours and had to stop at a few grocery stores for food as well as the storage unit to collect my personal belongings after being homeless for a few months. I arrived at the house I had already signed a contract for and purchased only to find that the tenant was still there and the house had not been cleaned. I had animals in the car with me, perishable foods and major back problems. I also had nowhere else to go. I had to wait for someone to show up to help this man move his items out of the home. It's all because Chester Lackey lacks in the ability to actually relate to people and accomplish tasks as well as keeping his end of the bargain up to par. He has faltered on our agreement on many levels. Later I reminded him that he had agreed to have this house cleaned prior to my moving in. He sent two little boys that were in their early teens at best to clean the house (I'm almost positive that one of them was his). I could not believe this man and his lack of competence or consideration for my health and well-being let alone our agreement. After that he continued to falter on our agreement even more so sending contractors out here to do a really bad paint job and only to take four months to do it. It must have been four contractors who were sent to paint the interior of my house. Only one of them actually bothered to tape off the areas and use a tarp. I wound up with paint on my personal belongings and it wasn't even the agreed paint color. By the time it was started and I realized how difficult it was just to get a contractor out here I didn't have the energy or motivation at all to even fight him about the color that we had agreed on. This is merely one example. There are other things included in our agreement that continue to prove his horrifying and discouraging practice as an investor or "retail lender" as he calls himself.... sending out these so-called contractors who were merely glorified handymen and were not reliable. A couple of them even complained to me that they were having difficulty getting out here and complained about the job and the drive because Chester Lackey didn't pay very well and the distance apparently was too great for them. I didn't deserve the complaints and I should not have been on the receiving end of them. I hope they take their complaints to Chester Lackey and I hope he has learned his lesson because I kept complaining to him about the really bad jobs that were being done inside and outside of the house. I am now broke and basically forced to sell my house just after one year of living here. I had put in so much time, energy and money to try to upgrade this home, even just bring it up to code. There wasn't even a carbon monoxide detector....no fan in the bathroom, no exhaust in the kitchen. Many things had to be repaired or replaced let alone upgraded. Out of time, money and patience I am now in the position to sell my house and I'm losing a lot of money doing it. I learned a hard lesson and I hope no-one invests in any of Chester Lackey's homes. I have come across a few other investors and real estate agents are who are familiar with him and his antics. So I'm fully aware that I'm not the only one he's done this to. I hope many read this and are advised to steer clear from this man and his houses. He is not reliable and he will not hold his end up on the agreement unless you are in a position to be able to sue him. I really wish I had the money to do it. I wish I had the money to do it. He is located in the Pocatello area and has homes all throughout Bannock and Power County. Please watch out for this man.

Let me share my last month's mortage experience with Wells Fargo... Last month I had to pay extra…read moremoney to my escrow because it was misscalculated, I had extra cash on me so I gave it to the teller for half of my July payment then went in and made the other half of the payment on the first.. I received my August mortage bill which showed I owed 2 mortage payments plus a late fee... I called the customer service number on the bill and the first representative hung up on me, I called back and the second representative said he would fix the issue, I said I would call the following day to verify. I went down to Wells Fargo on Yellowstone to verify the issue had been fixed and the bank manager was too busy to talk to me. The bank teller gave me the number to the local mortgage officer who when I called was no help and referred me back to the customer service number. When I called the customer service number back I was hung up on when they tranfered me to the supervisor so calling back once again I finally got to talk to a supervisor who stated it would take 5 to 7 days to fix the payment the bank teller miscoded. You would think a customer who made thier payments on time for years would receive better customer service but I was wrong. I would never recommended doing business with Wells Fargo and will never use their services in the future.

Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Despite both of us having 700+ credit scores, strong financials, and a solid payment history, we were repeatedly met with delays, vague excuses, and ultimately denied meaningful support. They pulled our credit but offered no real solutions or transparency. If you're a small business owner in Pocatello looking for personalized service, I highly recommend working with a local bank that values relationships--not just numbers. We were 3 applicant, we filled out application, paid $30 each, had hard credit inquiries. All of us had good credits, and work full time earning 50K+ a year. She refused to rent it out to us because she WANTED to see in person where we CURRENTLY live . I don't know if anybody is even allowed to do that legally. She then apparently gave it to some other applicant, and the reason she gave me was that though their credit scores were similar, they agreed to show her the place they currently live in. That's bollocks! She can call the current landlord references that we provided in the application if she really wanted to find out. Her attitude and treatment was a stinker, as you can tell she finds it hard to hide the contempt she has for people with color. I am pretty sure we didn't get it because of racial profiling. I am talking with my lawyers currently to file a violation of Equal Housing Opportunity Act. DON'T BOTHER working with LORI unless you are a White American male who share her anachronistic partisan values.

The service dropped, the clerks were no longer the friendly folk I was used to. I had a payments to my account last year that bounced and they took care of it. This year I had another payment bounce and they tossed me out. Said I was a risk. I can no longer bank with them. It's like they have never bounced a check. This bank has gone from a hometown, friendly institution to being just like a national chain. Everything is done by the book by people who don't understand how to run a business, let alone how to treat customers. When a charge comes in for whatever reason, and I don't know how or why, I expect help solving the problem. You wont get that here.
