The Hotel was great for our family. We all loved the cozy breakfast area and their incredible variety for breakfast. The coffee machine made perfect varieties of drinks. I liked the big screen TV with the news. This Hotel was a wonderful part of our vacation.

The rooms were ok, I was on the ground floor furthest away from reception and the room was very quite considering that the motorway is less than 200 yards away!! It does turn into a bit of a labyrinth on the lower ground floor. The hotel is well used by businesses as it has a wide range of meeting rooms, big and small. The staff were all helpful and friendly. It is a tidy and clean hotel. The restaurant is large and always had a good helping of business people, hotel guests and walk-in's. Whilst it was not the most adventurous menu it was functional and certainly did the job. THey have bikes for hire so if you have the time there are a couple of paths which take you off into the local forest, if you go the right way you will stumble across a nice little cafe.

Called a week prior to arrival and was told I could take a taxi for 80 Euros each way. This would be more than the 106 cancellation fee charged for cancelling the reservation. What was so disappointing was that if had they simply responded to my initial inquiry I would have been able to cancel for less, very shady practice.

Don't get me wrong, it's not dirty at all. Just old. The hotel is close to a busy highway/large road. I got a room to the street side and so having the window open wasn't possible. With closed windows however, the noise was almost not hearable and I could sleep fine. Breakfast is ok. Nothing special but full continental with enough choices. Dinner I personally found totally overpriced and not really good quality. I probably would rate it more like two stars but due to the really nice personell - especially the superb bartender - I give it a third star. So for a business trip in Utrecht it is ok but not for much more.

Very happy with this place…read more Pros: breakfast is fantastic. I arrived 6am and room was not available until 11am. Only one solution to that problem! Balcony was nice and the place was mostly quiet, even with the younger crowd. Pool and exercise rooms were completely empty late evening so you can have it all to yourself. Cons: everything is a bus ride away from here and the closest bus stop is a 15min walk. Walking is OK, but I can do that for free at home. Time is money when traveling so I prefer to spend it wisely by booking somewhere closer to the action. Double that when considering how rainy and cold it can be here in the off season.
