When they started changing the oil, they tell me that there was an oil leak and needed to get that checked out. neither me nor my fiancé have noticed that but were going to take it in to get it looked at. She takes it in today and they say there was a leak. however, IT WAS BECAUSE THEY PUT THE CAP ON WRONG!! you would think an oil change place could do the most important thing to do. Thank the lord she hadn't lost too much and the body shop was nice and didn't charge her. this place clearly needs to do a 180 especially since other reviews have said similar things. And to make it worse they have a dumb AI bot respond to the reviews because I saw one that was 5 stars but was talking about how lousy this place is and the bot praised them for the 5 star review. do yourself a favor and go to Strickland brothers or somewhere else.

While others may have great experiences, my experience here at this company was horrible. I'm just…read moregoing to give a quick summary. I started out with great service, however, the sense of urgency was lacked with my experience. I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning experience I had at your business in Asheboro. On this afternoon. I was initially greeted with professionalism by staff members including a manager named Banks and another manager named Sean. Both individuals were courteous and informative and my early impression of the business was positive. However, the situation quickly deteriorated due to the conduct of an employee by the name of Olivia. While I was in line for for the services I experience an extended and unexplained delay of approximately 20 to 25 minutes, during which employees appeared disengaged and focused on casual conversations rather than assisting waiting customers. No communication or acknowledgment of the delay was provided. When I briefly left to explore other service options and later return, I was eventually directed to a service Bay where another technician whom name I cannot recall assisted me. This individual demonstrated professionalism, respect, and a strong work ethics throughout the whole process, even while working without adequate support. Unfortunately, Olivia's behavior escalated further during my services. She openly refused to assist with my vehicle, made dismissive and inappropriate comments within earshot and created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. At multiple points. She spoke negatively about me to her co-workers and demonstrate a lack of professionalism that is unacceptable in a customer service setting. I also perceive certain remarks as discriminatory in nature. After my service was completed, I attempted to address my concerns calmly. However, the situation escalated significantly when manager Banks became involved. Rather than de-escalating the issues he engaged in unprofessional and aggressive behavior, including the use of inappropriate language towards both myself and my niece who was on the phone during the interaction. His conduct included verbal insults and statement that could reasonably be interpreted as threatening. At this point, what began as a customer service concern became a highly distressing and computational situation. I ultimately left the premises feeling disrespected unsafe and extremely dissatisfied. I would like to you all the to know that the technician who service my vehicle as well as the other employee working at that time conducted themselves with professionalism and should be commended their behavior stood in shark contrast to that of Olivia and Banks. Due to this experience, I have reported the incident to my supervisors and sharing my concerns within my professional network as someone affiliated with a company that managed a large fleet of vehicles. I regret to inform you that this incident has significantly impacted my willingness to recommend or continue doing business with your organization. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed thoroughly and that appropriate actions be taken to address the behavior of employees involved. I am available to provide any additional details if needed. I have also contacted corporate in detail the details in email. My niece will be sending the recording of it as well. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

The only regret and reason for one less star, was that I called previously and asked the price of an oil change and was told 58 or 68 with tire rotation. Never had that happen before. I'll go back though because their price is better.

Before I even walked inside, the staff noticed I had parked and immediately came over to ask if I needed any assistance. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. While I was waiting, they even offered me a bottle of water, which was such a thoughtful touch and made me feel like a valued customer. David was phenomenal! He was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, including the services and pricing. What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure to purchase additional services. They were honest, transparent, and treated both my daughter and me with kindness and respect from start to finish. The service was incredibly fast, the facility was clean and well organized, and the entire team worked together seamlessly. It's refreshing to find a business where customer service is still a top priority. I normally take my vehicles to the dealership, but after this experience, I can honestly say Strickland Brothers has earned my trust and my business. This will be my new go-to place to take my vehicles for oil changes and car inspections. A huge thank you to David and the entire team for making this such a positive experience. If you're looking for fast, honest, knowledgeable service with outstanding customer care, I highly recommend Strickland Brothers.

This automotive service business has good and not-so-good issues. I started doing business with…read morethem in December 2011 after another Havoline Express I used for years closed down for a road expansion. Here's the good: This place is clean and my wife would certainly feel comfortable there. Most of the employees are polite and professional, especially those who ring you up when your work is done. Only once did they try to upsell me car services that I did not need (I was a mechanic earlier in my career). Depending on when you arrive, you can often be in and out in under 20 minutes. The wall between the waiting area and the work area is glass, allowing you to somewhat see some of the work being done to your vehicle. Here's the not so good: When my oil filter is replaced, it drips lots of oil onto a support under my engine. If the mechanic doesn't clean it off, it drips on the floor of my garage for the next couple of weeks. The Havoline Xpress I used before this one always cleaned the oil off and it was never a problem. The technicians here, regardless of how nice I ask, will not clean this area after removing the oil filter even though they assure me they will when I ask. I have a vehicle with rear wheel drive. From the waiting area I can see they do not check the lubricant level in the rear differential even though they say on their check sheet (the one they give you when you leave) that they did. They also make erroneous comments on the check sheet regarding your response to questions they ask you. Once I realized the mechanics here were not performing services they claim to, I contacted the general manager, Doug Langford in writing to ask about it. To his credit, Doug contacted me by e-mail, advising me that he and the owner were looking into my concerns. To his detriment, that was the only time I heard from him. When I returned a couple of months later, things seemed very differently for the better. As best I could tell, all service functions listed on the check list were performed including the oil that drips on my garage floor after an oil change. Sadly this is not the end of the story. When I returned two weeks ago, service was back to bad. The lubricant level on my rear differential was not checked, the support that catches (then leaks) the oil was not cleaned, and although no mechanic spoke to me while I was there, my check list stated that I had told a mechanic that all services (for other things not included in an oil change) had been done. The following day I sent the manager another message outlining my visit, but it's been a week and a half and he hasn't responded yet. I am sorry to walk away from this business because it is clean, most of the people there are nice, and it is conveniently located to me. But if they will falsify information, pick and choose the services they do underneath your vehicle, as well as fib about something as little as wiping some excess oil off, I can't trust them with my vehicles anymore. On top of that, I am afraid of other important lubricating services/functions they may be skipping underneath my truck. Checking the differential is much simpler than some of the other things they are supposed to do underneath my truck. Knowing they are skipping that makes me feel they are likely skipping other things. I don't plan to go back. Without trust, I cannot do business here.

I recently brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and inspection around 3 PM. At the time…read moreof service, my vehicle had no warning lights or known issues. Approximately two and a half hours later, my check engine light came on. I returned to the shop the same day, and they scanned the code, which came back as P0430 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold). What is concerning is not just the timing, but the response I received. I was told it was "just a coincidence," and no further effort was made to inspect the vehicle. Given that this issue appeared immediately after service, I expected at minimum a basic check of components that may have been accessed or affected during the inspection, such as oxygen sensor connections or anything near the exhaust system. Instead, the concern was dismissed without any attempt to rule out whether something may have been inadvertently disturbed during service. As a customer, that lack of follow-through is frustrating and does not reflect thorough or responsible service. Additionally, my overall experience raised concerns about professionalism and honesty. During check-in, I was told that I would need new wiper blades in order for my vehicle to pass inspection. I was initially quoted $14.99 for the blades, but then the associate realized the correct length I needed was actually priced at $20. I was told he would still honor the $14.99 price, but that the receipt would show the 24-inch blades at the higher price. Being told one thing while knowingly documenting something different is concerning. Given that this kind of falsehood occurred, it raises questions about what else may not have been handled correctly during my service, including whether the correct oil was used or if something else may have been impacted. During check-in, I was also encouraged to leave a five-star review due to the number of one-star reviews the business has received. A specific complaint was even mentioned about the business not having a working phone. However, a phone number is printed on receipts, which would reasonably lead customers to believe they can contact the business by phone. That disconnect is misleading. While waiting for my vehicle, I observed staff engaging in unprofessional behavior, including using profanity and focusing more on social interactions than customer service. After paying $163, even with a $25 off coupon, I am now in a position where I still have to consult with a reputable mechanic to resolve an issue that was not present when I brought my vehicle in, and clearly was not present when the business passed the vehicle for a state inspection. I understand that the mechanical issue may ultimately be unrelated. However, the timing alone warranted a closer look, and I should not have had to push for that level of care. Combined with the lack of professionalism and questionable business practices, this experience has left me needing to seek a second opinion elsewhere, something that could have been avoided with more thorough service and accountability.
