My state inspection and oil change took about half the time. The two guys who worked on my car were friendly and helpful. I didn't feel like they were upselling me on things that I didn't need and felt appreciated that.

I started out with great service, however, the sense of urgency was lacked with my experience. I am writing to formally report a deeply concerning experience I had at your business in Asheboro. On this afternoon. I was initially greeted with professionalism by staff members including a manager named Banks and another manager named Sean. Both individuals were courteous and informative and my early impression of the business was positive. However, the situation quickly deteriorated due to the conduct of an employee by the name of Olivia. While I was in line for for the services I experience an extended and unexplained delay of approximately 20 to 25 minutes, during which employees appeared disengaged and focused on casual conversations rather than assisting waiting customers. No communication or acknowledgment of the delay was provided. When I briefly left to explore other service options and later return, I was eventually directed to a service Bay where another technician whom name I cannot recall assisted me. This individual demonstrated professionalism, respect, and a strong work ethics throughout the whole process, even while working without adequate support. Unfortunately, Olivia's behavior escalated further during my services. She openly refused to assist with my vehicle, made dismissive and inappropriate comments within earshot and created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. At multiple points. She spoke negatively about me to her co-workers and demonstrate a lack of professionalism that is unacceptable in a customer service setting. I also perceive certain remarks as discriminatory in nature. After my service was completed, I attempted to address my concerns calmly. However, the situation escalated significantly when manager Banks became involved. Rather than de-escalating the issues he engaged in unprofessional and aggressive behavior, including the use of inappropriate language towards both myself and my niece who was on the phone during the interaction. His conduct included verbal insults and statement that could reasonably be interpreted as threatening. At this point, what began as a customer service concern became a highly distressing and computational situation. I ultimately left the premises feeling disrespected unsafe and extremely dissatisfied. I would like to you all the to know that the technician who service my vehicle as well as the other employee working at that time conducted themselves with professionalism and should be commended their behavior stood in shark contrast to that of Olivia and Banks. Due to this experience, I have reported the incident to my supervisors and sharing my concerns within my professional network as someone affiliated with a company that managed a large fleet of vehicles. I regret to inform you that this incident has significantly impacted my willingness to recommend or continue doing business with your organization. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed thoroughly and that appropriate actions be taken to address the behavior of employees involved. Had tires installed at another tire shop with new Tpms sensors. Unfortunately the previous shop…read morebotched the job and the tires went flat overnight. Of course with my luck most tire shops are closed on Sundays. I found Mavis tires and had them take the time to inform me of the previous shops mistake which turned out to be them incorrectly installing the tire pressure sensors. They were able to get get in and out very quickly and kept me informed along the whole process. Thanks again Matt and Brandon for handling this so quick!

I was shown the damage to my tire and offered different solutions. I opted to just get a new tire because of their recommendation where the leak was. I know a lot of time women are timid in mechanics because of horror stories about being swindled, but I never felt that here. Service was great and value was spectacular. I ended up being out by 550 so it was speedy too! I would definitely recommend!

Drove back and instead of taking the tire off to examine it, they hooked the code reader up to my car and advised me that I needed to drive 30-60 minutes to "seat" the tire. Are you kidding me? And the head technician told me I needed to follow the instructions I was given from the code reader? After expressing my concern and (more) disgust, all tires were correctly inflated to the "proper" (not 20) pressure. Tire was taken off and examined and I was assured it was fine. Drove home, woke up the next morning and guess what? 17 pounds of pressure in the same tire. Back to Asheboro tire center I go. Tire was changed. When my name was called to check out, I was informed that I owed 12.54 for the balance of the tire. I THINK NOT. I didn't pay a dime. Thank you to the new tire care manager (sorry it was your first day.) Not one apology from the head tech on the floor that took care of my car (who was present each day I visited.) Just handed me my keys and walked off. Think twice before you get tires here. You get what you pay for.

My friend worked there for three years and not only did they screw her in the service department INTENTIONALLY misdiagnosing her car as needing THOUSANDS in repairs, they terminated her employment and her health insurance benefits even though she was one of the top salespeople every single month and had zero issues until she had to report her manager to HR for buying illegal drugs at work, abuse, retaliation, etc. Instead of doing the right thing, they tried to offer her a very small amount of "Gag money" hoping she would be desperate enough to take it especially now that they had forced her into two car payments and she's a type 1 diabetic single mother of 3 - they really thought she would give up her rights to even SPEAK of what they have done to her because they offered her 1/8th of her salary for "severance pay." She's told me some horror stories of service screwing people because it's "their job and they're told to leave their integrity at the door," of salespeople and finance trying to screw little old ladies out of money, things that would just blow your mind. If they can treat someone that made them a ton of money this way, how will they treat you? Think about it. When she can speak out, she intends to. Newspaper, evening news, this is a story to be told and unless they significantly increase their offer, she's going to move forward with a lawsuit and keep her rights to speak! As a side note, because of the stress she's currently been admitted to the hospital going on day 3 and found out that the hospital benefit they took out of her last check won't pay out because they specifically called the company and told them to terminate it on 5/3. She will have to file an appeal. They also took out hundreds of dollars for a rental they claimed she had up to the morning they terminated her although she was forced to buy another car at the end of the previous month. So they one hundred percent falsified documents to steal from her. Doctors are telling her the infection she's fighting has only gotten worse because of the stress. They knew she was battling a serious health issue and she had just submitted FMLA paperwork, but before the deadline, they wrongfully and illegally terminated her employment. Think about this next time you even consider taking your car to Modern for service or buying a car from there. They don't care about people. Only MONEY.

I pulled into a gas station to put air into my tire, and could hear it coming out as fast as I was putting it in. My wife seen Thomas Tire & Auto, across the street and called them, and they said get it in over. This was at 4:50 in the afternoon. Not only did they remove what was left of a plug in our tire out, but patched the tire, where we wouldn't have anymore problems with it, the rest of the trip. Did not want to charge us, just told us to enjoy the rest of our trip!!! Great people, very helpful service, and fast work right at 5:00pm and getting ready to close! Never again will I spend a dime at this place. Over the past 5 plus years I had purchased several…read moresets of tires and had maintenance as well as repairs done on my vehicles by Thomas tire. When my car was running poorly and the check engine light came on I naturally brought it into Thomas to get checked out. I was given an estimate of over 1300.00 and was charged 166.00 for the diagnostics. At the advice of a co worker I took my car to another shop for a second opinion and was extremely glad I did as they made the repairs on my car for roughly 430.00. Many of the items Thomas claimed needed to be replaced did not need to be and my car runs great now. If you want to pay for work and parts not needed then Thomas tire is the place to go.
