It was only $3 and really cute. I also found a pretty random Scooby Doo Whoopy Cushion. I left it behind because it's really not a good idea for me to own one of those... my friends would kill me! The customer service here is friendly enough. The staff member stayed behind the counter while I browsed and he greeted me with a smile when I first walked in. The prices are really low and the items to be found are more original than most similar variety shops. It's worth a visit for some cheap knick-knacks.

This is where I pick up a cheap toy for the dog, with a section of inexpensive chew toys available, ready and waiting for your puppy to chew to pieces. Most are good quality, and I've found that even though long hours have been spent trying to destroy them, the toys hold up really well. As an avid believer in a good costume party, I've also hit this store up for bit and pieces for costumes. They stock a small range of wigs, dress ups and accessories and as they usually don't last the night, its good to not have to pay too much for these bits. I also have picked up sunglasses form these guys and my current $7 sunnies have lasted me almost a year...whether they are actually UV resistant is anyone's guess, however for $7 I cant complain.

I've managed to decorate my home with some pieces from there that I've also seen in more prestigious home wares shops like Provincial Home Living and Homeart. The beauty is because the shop isn't pretty, and because the stock is just stacked together in bulk, you'll get the same item at Fantastic Variety for half the price. Last week I was pleased to pick up some bamboo sticks of different lengths and sizes to go into a large wooden vase that's been empty in my living room for about six months. The same pieces were at Homeart and would have cost me $10 more for the same amount. They've also currently got some lovely French pieces; old hat boxes and war style letter boxes with French art and war stamps printed on them. To accompany the collection, French Bordeaux clocks of assorted sizes are also in stock. From $10 to $20, similar decorative clocks are available at Provincial Home living for more than double the cost. And unlike most cheap rip offs, these collections at Fantastic Variety are pretty good, to the naked eye at least you can hardly tell the difference and they'll make your space look just as effective, particularly if you're decorating on a budget. Some of my other fave items here are the assorted varieties of Japanese hanging lanterns, as well as bamboo door runners. My husband has a unique collection of islander wooden masks, and the lanterns and door runner have really added to the effectiveness of our 'tribal room'. Since relocating to a bigger premises within the centre, I've noticed the range in store getting more stylish and of higher quality. The store owners have also gotten a lot better at merchandising their best stuff and so you can see the value of some of their pieces in the window displays which have been quite fetching of late. So, if you're in the mood for some interior decorating on a budget, check out Fantastic Variety first. The window displays might even give you some good ideas and at least you'll be able to cost compare if you do go elsewhere.

I had been looking for clear suit bags for about a week, and just because I was passing by. I ended up walking out with half a dozen bits and pieces, things I had forgotten I even needed. While I was there I saw almost twenty couches, beds, bicylces, a few coffee tables and a variety of home decor items. It seems to be a family run business and they are so new to the area that they are yet to set up a phone line. The people I spoke to there were absolutely lovely and were super helpful when it came to answering my questions. Whilst they are still setting up, I can hedge a bet that this store is going to be quite good. Stock changes regularly and they have a sale board out the front where they write up a bargain of the day. Keep your eyes peeled on this one.

I took them back this morning and an Asian woman was at the register. I told her it was bitter and to taste it. She asked for my receipt even though my purchase was in their computer via rewards card. I told her that Supply Warehouse has a money back guarantee. She became nasty and called another woman. The other woman (manager) was even nastier. So she called the owner and the owner said it was bitter (thus faulty) product; therefore, the woman gave me a refund but went on to reprimand me and called me the "nastiest customer she's ever seen". I told her I was exercising my right to a refund, as this product was unmerchantable and should not be sold. They both continued to accuse me of being nasty. I told her that her treatment of me was unnecessary, as I will be getting a refund but now she has lost a customer. She said, "I don't care. We don't want you back!" They continued yelling at me and the Asian woman even tried to get another customer involved with the dispute. The other customer was clearly uncomfortable. I told her it was unprofessional to involve another customer. She continued to accuse me of rudeness. I asked the manager her name and she said she didn't have a name, just "the woman with big boobs" and she held her boobs while saying it. I informed her that all of social media will know about this. I have never encountered such disgraceful and unprofessional treatment in a store in all my life, and I shall never go to this store again. I invite the owner to review the CCTV footage of this reprehensible treatment.
