They installed my two garage door openers when lightening struck my house. Prompt service knowledgeable guys! Plus locally owned company!

Three years ago I had four new doors with openers installed by Express on a new building. From day…read moreone there were problems with the install and operations of the doors. When I would call to have the problems solved someone would show up get on a ladder and make adjustments. Every time I was told the problems were solved. It is unfortunate that they never were. The first problem was I could see light coming in around the doors from the inside. So there was a problem with seal or door position. The second problem was the doors did not operate smoothly going up and down. This resulted in codes being set that would say "excessive downward force detected" or "excessive upward force detected". When this would happen the doors would refuse to close. I would have to pull the emergency release cable in order to close them. I use this building to store my cars. These doors are not used on a daily basis. I would guess two of doors have opened and closed less than 20 times. The other two probably twice that. It gets worse. In addition I also requested another opener installed on another building. Shortly there after this door function failed. A cable had gone loose and spring had loosened up. I could not close door. Now I had to hang a tarp over opening in the dead of winter. Again this door is rarely opened and closed. Again another service call and adjustments made. Last winter I started to notice after opening this door it would slowly start lowering itself and i had to physically struggle with it in order to get it to close. Until it totally failed again by throwing a cable and now is stuck closed. I climbed a ladder and found there are two fasteners which should hold motor to wall. Only one was installed. When running unit would shake up and down instead of staying stationary When I called Express door to have these problems addressed, the owner told me the employee who had installed my doors and openers was no longer working for him. Also any service or warranty had expired . Therefore he would not do anything to correct these ongoing problems. I had another overhead door company come and evaluate the situation. Multiple problems with installation were discovered. This list of problems was presented to owner of Express door. He decided it was in his best interest to send his "best man" to get this resolved for good. Two trucks arrived and three workers spent an hour adjusting the doors and motors. Again I was told it was fixed. Guess what a couple days latter again a door set "excessive downward force recognized" code. Finally I had the other door company send one man to sort it out. After two hours of adjusting all the springs, aligning the rails, adjusting door balance, as well as sorting out motor position problems, the doors now operate as they should. To avoid a nightmare my advice to you is to not employ Express overhead door. Not only can they not complete a new installation properly, they can not or refuse to correct the mistakes which were made. The owner was also rude on the phone. Even after being presented a list of what was wrong by a second company nothing on the list was accomplished. I ended up paying another company to correct the problems that Express overhead door created by installing my doors improperly and refusing to correct there faulty installation.

Both service techs were extremely polite and knowledgeable…read more I will recommend them to everyone I know.
